Denied loan because I was unable to provide college transcripts. Does that sound discriminatory? 17 years out of college, I haven't had to provide college transcripts for 16 years. I feel bad for those who are unable to get a loan based on education levels. I would not recommend this business for based on these practices.
I've been opted out in a number of different ways from direct marketing efforts using official FTC resources to stop receiving unsolicited offers. Despite this, I have received mail from Upstart trying to get me to sign up for one of their loans. I've asked them to opt out as well. I would stay away from them as they don't seem to have any regrets sending out mail to those that have specifically stated they don't want to receive it.
