Uber eats offered me a $20 voucher via email as a new customer. I tried to use the voucher to order food, as I checked out it said voucher not available for this order. It even told me my charges would only be $4 dollars, after checkout it was over $30. I then went to cancel the order and now it's charging me $22.50 I contacted their customer service and of course I get the lone winded speech about policy... buddy! Your committing fraud! I had to go through my bank to get my money back.
Today, 8/21/24, I decided to give uber eats at after not using them for a year or two. In the past I've had nothing but problems with them. So I placed my order and it arrived late, shocker, and the bag which is supposed to be sealed closed was torn half way open. That was an immediate red flag. Of course an item I ordered was missing. This has happened every time I placed an order through them in the past and trying to get the issue resolved is next to impossible. I tried to contact them as soon as I saw there was a problem but all I could do was send an email. So we'll see if I get a response but I'm not going to hold my breath. This is the last time I use this joke of a business. I'd give zero stars if it was possible.
I'm really frustrated with Uber Eats. Today, I placed an order and provided clear delivery instructions, including the contact person and contact information. However, when I called my girlfriend (the person I ordered the food for), she told me she hadn't received it. I noticed some missed calls from an unknown number, which probably means they tried to call, but the driver never went to the delivery address or the reception, as I had instructed.
It's concerning that some drivers might be taking our food, and Uber Eats doesn't seem to care. Their customer service is nearly impossible to reach, and the complaint process feels intentionally designed to frustrate customers further. As I write this, I've been waiting over three hours for a response from their chat support, with no luck. All I got was a picture of a random pavement as so-called "proof" of delivery.
Uber Eats delivery offers the convenience of ordering from a variety of restaurants and eateries without leaving home. On the positive side, Uber Eats provides fast and reliable delivery, often delivering orders within the estimated timeframe. Additionally, their app interface is user-friendly, making it easy to browse menus and place orders. However, there are areas for improvement. The accuracy of orders and food quality upon delivery can be inconsistent, with some orders not meeting the same standards as dine-in experiences. Furthermore, customer service responsiveness can vary, with some inquiries receiving prompt attention while others face delays. Overall, while Uber Eats offers convenience, enhancements in order accuracy and customer service would further enhance the delivery experience.
Uber Eats has become my go-to food delivery service for its wide selection of restaurants and fast, reliable delivery. The app is easy to use, allowing me to browse menus, track my order in real-time, and customize delivery instructions. While there have been occasional delays or errors with orders, Uber Eats' customer service has always been responsive in resolving any issues.
I ordered 100$ worth of Food. Uber eats driver did not deliver to the right address. I receive the delivered notification and look at the photo. Its not my door. They delivered to the wrong address. The driver is not picking up the phone. So i have no food. And i asked customer service for help and they refuse to refund even tho you can clearly see its their mistake and wrong door. Avoid uber eats at all cost.
Uber customer service for restaurant or cafe is terrible.
As soon as sell people in Uber eats get their commission they don't care anymore.
They book you for photography. You prepared everything for photoshoot and then photographer don't show up with out any cancellation notice!
It will take them ages to upload the menu.
They trick you with regular discounts to campaign adds.
And if there is a problem good luck finding someone to help you!
The driver did not deliver our food from benihana. He probably ate it! We tipped him a good amount. Very frustrating experience and I yell everyone not to order from door dash. They are a scam and will not refund you
The driver got lost and just never came. Customer service is a $#*!ing joke! They did nothing to help.
Well...I actually have a problem with 3rd party delivery businesses "post-covid" for MANY REASONS.
This one is NO DIFFERENT.
Why oh, WHY would someone with a business "PAY a PERCENTAGE" to a 3rd party delivery system to sell their own resources to customers when the customers are already paying exhorbitant fees TO these "online ordering delivery businesses" that WOULD NOT EXIST if people had realized "post-covid businesses" like this were designed to control people & commerce?
Along comes the Doordash/GrubHub/Uber COSTLY business SCAMS designed to further drain honest small businesses of profits & business funds they no longer have.
A business exists to STAY IN BUSINESS & make a profit.
A business CANNOT operate successfully AT A LOSS.
These so-called "delivery businesses" also are overly expensive to customers.
These "delivery businesses" merely leech off everyone with no ambition to work OR are afraid to venture out.
Nothing has changed in the 3 years these businesses forced themselves to the forefront of commerce.
It's costly. Far too expensive with fees & programs.
It's unreliable. Often times, I hear that drivers fail to pick up items & customers "reject the order"...& the ones who lose out are the businesses & the Uber/Doordash/GrubHub drivers (in that instance.
It's a hassle. They call REPEATEDLY
Week-after-week even when businesses state to NOT CALL BACK.
"Reviews" are posted AGAINST businesses that do not participate.
Well...this individual studied business ethics in companionship with business mgmt. & business administration; so I understand these things entirely; as seen from study, evidence & experience.
There you have it.
NOT RECCOMMENDED.
I ordered food for my father on Father's Day and Uber Eats never delivered it and told me that my order is not refundable. Just know that if something goes wrong and for some reason you don't get your order from Uber Eats, they will do nothing for you. Please share. Don't use Uber Eats.
I have ordered fast food using Uber Eats and It was good, I recived my order but than I noticed that one of my items were missing like someone took it and I noticed that some of the fries I ordered were missing to. There was very little amount of fries and the bag was messy. Uber Eats is a no for me. Others may like uber eats but im not wasting money on food I wont even get. Maybe the reason is because I didint tip?
Do not patronize Uber Eats! They will NOT refund you if order is wrong, the drivers are rude, the customer service people are terrible and won't help you and they block your account for no reason at all, won't let you use promo code, require a credit card to use a gift card, and the list goes on and on! Use other companies for food delivery, but NOT them!
The delivery person should still be fired but Uber Eats made things right!
His name is Mohamed. Shameless person!
Thank you Uber Eats.
I drive an 18 wheeler across country and I'm an Uber eats one customer because getting an 18 wheeler into a food joint isn't a feasible option when your vehicle is this bulky and weighs as much as mine does that it breaks parking lot pavement.
I used Uber eats today and made 3 separate orders, I ordered a coffee from Starbucks, a salad for myself from Fresh-set 675 & Panda Express for my other half.
Every time I order I always leave a message for the delivery person in the app when I make each order with explicit instructions on my exact whereabouts and a phone number and ask that they call me when they arrive or get close to arriving so that they can locate me I do this each time I make an order.
The Starbucks order arrived first and made it just fine a woman delivered it and did call me and found me easily.
The orders for the two food places were delivered by one person and he didn't call the phone number I put in the instructions he instead called an old phone number by using the app number instead of reading the instructions I left him in the app order. I only knew he had he tried to deliver the food because I went to check his arrival time per the app and it said order was delivered and completed.
I then went into the travel center I was parked behind to ask if they had the food and was told that upon arriving he had come into the truck stop I was parked behind and asked for me inside and spoke with the manager who explained to him that it would likely be an order for a truck driver on the lot out back and then she offered to hold the food for me but he refused and took the food with him and left with it I also attempted to call him per his number in the Uber app but the call tried to go through Uber eats app and told me the call couldn't be put through and so no food.
I did contact Uber eats customer service by chat through the app because they do not have a phone number customers can call anymore and they refused to refund the money because and I quote I was at a business and because he tried to contact me although not at the number I gave him in the instructions so apparently the driver can keep your food and the tips and just leave with it and there is no refund and no repercussions for their not doing their due diligence while on the job and reading instructions left for them and then Uber eats keeps your money and so no refund for $100 worth of food. I've called my credit card company and will be disputing these charges for food I didn't receive and I will not be utilizing Uber eats anymore. Horrible delivery driver and no resolution for an issue that should not have ever occurred and could have easily been avoided by just reading the instructions the customer left for the delivery person or by leaving the food with the manager when he went into the establishment. $100 loss is enough for me.
I didnt get my order. And i was not refunded for it i will never order from uber eats again'. I talked to customer service they told me courier did not provide notes or a picture of my order so they know i didn't receive it but they still didnt refund me or atleast send me a credit. So ridiculous i will never order from here again!
I tried to order a pizza to my friends house where I was at and as I tried to put the order through the app some reason reverted back to my home address. I canceled the order and redid it to where I was at and then I find out that Uber wants to charge me twice saying that the merchant started making my food but that's impossible it was one seconds, and not to mention I didn't cancel the order. I only canceled to change the address, so I again redid the order, same food to the same merchant so if they had started making my food, it would be great because they were delivering it to me, but for some reason Uber is trying to rob me and make me pay twice so I need to dispute it with my credit card and I'm going to review them and write to the Better Business Bureau. The customer service is absolutely horrifying.
Tonight we ordered two hours ahead on Uber Eats. Ordering was simple and our Uber Eats driver was even early to the restaurant to pick up the food. The amount was $144 including tip. The distance from the restaurant to our address was approximately one half hour. We followed her delivery progress on the app. When she was approximately 10 minutes away, the order was suddenly cancelled—no explanation. At that moment, all driver information, including contact information, was cancelled. We were astonished. Immediately, my husband called the restaurant to ensure our order was picked up-it was. Then, we called customer service for Uber Eats and got someone who was extremely apologetic, but said that there was no way for her to contact the driver to find out why the order was cancelled 10 minutes out. It was inane. They did credit back our payment and tip, to their credit. But we were left without a meal for our family of 6! Oh, and my husband got a text a bit later saying it was cancelled because of the restaurant—clearly a lie. We will not be placing delivery orders in the future with Uber Eats.
First off, it managed to mess up my address, so the food was delivered to the wrong address.
Also, when I put in my order, it accepted my promo code successfully; however, it did not honor the promised discount.
