Do not waste your money on their outrageous prices of "tutoring" or "help." I feel that it is definitely a scam business running, not intended to help students in need, but rather to get them to spend their money on something that doesn't fulfill its services. The tutors I've had were extremely rude and non-native English speakers. Their sentences could not be correctly comprehended nor could they explain in simple English what concepts were. The academic counselor I got linked was even worse. He said that I was the rude one because I was so unsatisfied with this service, but if you're trying to make money, you don't tell the consumer that they are rude. This "counselor" had the worst attitude ever and I will never be using their service again.

My daughter was failing math and a friend had told me to try tutorvista. I really didn't think it would help her that much but I know she needed help so I tried it anyway. My daughter went from a D to A in math. I will continue to keep tutorvista all through high school for my daughter. It felt so good not to see her not stressed out about doing math. This is a great program and I am so happy they have helped my daughter so much.()

The website was a complete scam. It wasted my time by offering a free trial and them trying to force me to buy their monthly package. When I called them on it they attempted to scare me by saying the were going to trace my IP and deal with me. Complete waste of time. Dont even try it

The tutor didn't know anything... about TRIGONOMETRY, I was explaining it to her. The guy I was talking to, John, wouldn't stop telling me why I should join. Offered me 1 a discount for 10%, then 5% and then 15%, but only if "you sign up right now." and he claimed that all the tutors have either masters or PHD's. But thats a load of crap. As I was talking, and trying to ask questions about the company, the guy got rude and only ever replied with pre-made responses, which is incredibly annoying. Ended up wasting an hour just for him to realize that I didn't want to sign up anymore because of the constant "sign up now and get a discount" or pre-made responses. Don't waste your time, spend your money on a real person who you can physically see and work with in person. Because they can't charge your card for extra months or hours that you didn't want.

I bought a 7 hour package for 70$ and I regret every single cent. The teachers are unqualified and have no idea what they are doing. I needed tutoring with physics and whenever I would send them a question, they spend like 20 minutes just "going through the question" and wasting time and even after that, 80% of the time its a wrong solution.

I went to them with a Torque problem which had a wrong answer in the book. I was confused so I needed help. I asked 3 different tutors and each gave me a different answer and worst of all... NONE OF THEM WERE CORRECT.

Please do not waste your time with this shame of a website.

TutorVista is a unreliable website where foreign teachers ATTEMPT to help you with limited kinds of mathematics and sciences. I would say the tutors average reviews are 2/5 at best because most of them do NOT help you at all, they just sit at their computer and pretend to know what they are talking about as they try to use up as many of your minutes possible. On that note, when a tutor first joins a session get ready to waste a good 4-6 minutes on them introducing themselves with their automatic message system (EVERY SESSION) and then they'll take another 5 of your minutes reviewing the problem you have given them. Some tutors are NOT BAD, at best. Most of them are straight up morons and you never get tutors that you favorited because they pick what student they want to tutor, even if you schedule it a lot of the tutors are different even if it has the tutor you thought it was going to be's name on it. Finally, 25 minutes later, once i get an answer to a math homework from them working through it with them after they have given me all the advice they 80% of the time googled, you will get the incorrect answer if you check in the back of the book, as to where they will apologize and ask you to move on to the next question.

Tutor Vista helped me a lot. I only have met two out of maybe 19 tutors that I understand. It is hard for me to learn when every tutor is different, this is only in Algebra 1, I don't know about other classes. Monalisa Patra is THE BEST tutor, she helps me so much and makes it fun.
