I'd give zero stars if possible. First, they appear to have ceased all human review and customer service and are relying 100% on AI. You can imagine how that goes. No real answers to questions. No phone line to call. 10+ times I've asked in email for a live human to call me, never addressed. The AI will flag a problem, not tell you the specific issue, and then never update the "Release Issue" notification so it never gets released. The irony is if the AI detects AI use in the song such as Suno, even if the entire song is original and written by you, it will reject it within 1 min. You appeal, and it's almost instantly rejected with a "No more appeals". So fast you know it's AI, and since they don't have humans working, guess what. Stuck. Sometimes an email comes in and they have named the AI and will even ask "How'd Frank do", but I've realized the responses are all copy/pasted uninformative information just being pulled by AI yet again. Either that or the employees are mindless husks that don't understand that a specific question actually has a specific answer. Stay away stay away stay away. I'm never renewing my account. There has got to be something better as an option, because you can only go up from here.

The first two albums were successfully published, while the other four were rejected without explanation. These were completely different albums and no one was going to explain to me the reason for the refusals Support responds with templates. How can I use a service that rejects any album and doesn't give a reason.

I cannot recommend tunecore. I tested out Tunecore, Cdbaby and Unchained music. Out of all 3 of them, they all paid me EXCEPT Tunecore. Told me some bogus B. S. and now it has been over 90 days from Feb 2026 that these $#*!es have not pad me. Cdbaby was the easiest to get my money from. Unchained music was a chore, gave me a hard time, though I FINALLY did get my money. Tunecore are scumbag thieves and scammers as well. They also have hidden fees. Stay away from Tunecore. https://www.google.com/search?q=why+is+tunecore+not+paying+artists&sca_esv=8ed7b9c9fed93e72&rlz=1c5chfa_enus1053us1053&sxsrf=anbl-n4ocjzuvxsjjuespvde7qijofqfwg%3a*******970&ei=c2amaan3ores0pep_-cjuqy&ved=0ahukewjp_luyqdgsaxu3ctqihx_wkgcq4dudcbm&uact=5&oq=why+is+tunecore+not+paying+artists&gs_lp=egxnd3mtd2l6lxnlcnaiindoesbpcyb0dw5ly29yzsbub3qgcgf5aw5nigfydglzdhmybrahgkabmguqirigatifeceyoaeybrahgkabmguqirigatifeceynwuybrahgj8fmguqirifbujonwfq8ahyljwbcaf4ajabajgbxgkgaz13qgeimc44mi45ljg4aqpiaqd4aqgyaikgapqqwgieecmyj8iccxaagiaegiofgjecwgikeaaygaqyiguyq8icdhaagiaegiofgledgimbwgifeaaygatcag0qabiabbikbrhdgmkdwgileaaygaqyiguykgpcaggqlhiabbixa8iccxaugiaegledgimbwgileaaygaqysqmygwhcaggqabiabbixa8iccraagiaegaoyc8icbhaagbyyhsiccbaagbyyhhgkwgifeaay7wxcagsqabiabbikbriga8iccbaagiaegkiewgifeceyqwkyawcibggsbwywljmzljggb-eqbbihbjaumzmumbghlcrcbwywljeumzpib7gbgagb&sclient=gws-wiz-serp#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:b386bd24,vid:bfkkhxjqvdc,st:0

I had a very negative experience with TuneCore, especially regarding subscription cancellation. There is no clear or accessible way to cancel; they do not provide a direct contact method to resolve it. The information on how to do it is confusing and frustrating. I ended up having to block the charges directly through my bank because there was no other way to stop the billing. This kind of service is unacceptable and urgently needs improvement.

I invested years of effort creating my music. I personally wrote every lyric and designed every creative aspect of my tracks. I used AI tools only as a creative assistant, never as a generator — and always under my full direction. I chose the sounds, arranged the structure, and determined how each element should work. These are my songs. I paid for TuneCore's yearly distribution plan expecting professional service and global access. Instead, without notice, warning, or explanation, they removed nearly all of my music from digital platforms — including scheduled releases. The reason? After I legally contested their failure to distribute on Meta (Instagram/Facebook), despite their contract clearly stating such availability, they retaliated by wiping my catalog. This was not a violation of their terms: their policy explicitly supports the use of AI-assisted tools. My work was fully legitimate, backed by proper commercial licenses, and I even received written confirmation from the licensing company verifying my legal right to distribute and monetize all tracks. TuneCore's actions were unprofessional, unethical, and damaging. No communication, no transparency — just silence and deletion. This is not a platform that protects independent artists. This is a platform that punishes them for asking to be treated fairly. Think twice before trusting them with your art.

Very Efficient
March 27, 2018

Used them for original music and they were very efficient at helping to publish music to various places like iTunes & Amazon and getting royalties due.

Highly recommended!
