I purchased the ten pack of Thuja Green Giant privacy trees. I was satisfied and somewhat impressed in how they were delivered but after a few weeks all the trees except one have turned brown and died. I also purchased two apple trees (honey crisp and red delicious). The red delicious was dead within a few weeks.
I was impressed at the delivery that I had ordered another ten pack of the privacy trees before the original ones died so now I am monitoring the new trees hoping they do not die as well. I will probably not buy from this company again. It's a shame because the initial purchase and delivery was impressive but the product was not.
Website was easy to navigate. Tree was reasonably priced & arrived looking healthy.
I am usually a huge fan of FGT. We have placed numerous orders in the past and have always received quality products. This I why we opt to purchase online rather than going to the numerous nurseries around in our hometown. We know plants are top quality. We have 1.5 acres of land and do a lot of gardening. We also have a very large screened patio where we grow our herb and vegetable plants with hydroponics & grow lights.
We purchased the Dragon fruit tree, Citronella, Coffee plant & 6 Pineberries plants on our last order. The last shipment I received was absolutely horrible! First, the box labeled " This was side up" was packaged incorrectly. There was a cardboard petition midway however the plants were packaged on the WRONG side of it. I opened my box ( upside down) and all the plants were mangled and the dirt that was not contained in plastic bags was a mess all over my floor. There were broken plants stems mixed in with the dirt.
The pineberries and citronella were pitiful trash. The citronella had 2 small stems that were brown and 2 green small leaves. I took pics of everything. This plant never recovered and I believe it was already almost dead when it was sent to me. I am even more bothered that there was only one stem of plant. This plant appeared to be the type of plant that was returned multiple times and then sent to me because it was the last one on the shelf.
The pine berries were pretty horrifying. Some had a few strands of long leaves which were 95 % brown and dead. Two of the bunch were just dirt with a scraggly little vine and dead leaves. It's possible they were mangled from the poor shipping conditions. I have been working every day trying to nurse these babies back to life. The 2 that had a vine never made it past day one. The others will not grow at all and have barely any sign of life left to them.We kept them in a temperature-controlled room with growlights but they never recovered.
I managed to repot the Dragon fruit tree & Coffee plant and both are doing well today. Overall I ordered 9 plants and 7 of them were in really bad shape. Im very disappointed.
We are so sorry to hear about your experience! It doesn't look like any of the photos came through so we're reaching out privately to help!
Quick & easy and everything came just as advertised. Very healthy white spruce!
I ordered a Mimosa tree and received it in April, come July I still didn't have a bud or leaves. I got in touch with them and got a replacement. It's beautiful!
The shipping was fast, packaging was good and the trees arrived in healthy and looking good
My shipment of ten boxwoods finally arrived almost two weeks after they were supposed to be delivered. Amazingly, they were still alive, soil was moist and leaves were green. We have just planted them, so don't know how well they'll grow, but so far everything looks good.
This was my first tree by mail. Its been two weeks or so and it seems to be doing fine. It has begun to flower. Package was great not damage to the tree.
My first time buying a tree on line. Both trees arrived in the same box in perfect condition. Impressive. Will buy more for future projects.
The first tree arrived mostly dead…. I sent pictures immediately…I contacted CS and they asked that I give it a few weeks before calling to maybe replace it? Within 8 days of tender loving fare it just wasn't going to make it. I called CS again and had a replacement jacaranda in a week! Very happy
Three cedar trees died immediately. Shrubs all survived and are doing well, butt half of the evergreen trees are brown and weak.
We are so sorry that some of your plants didn’t make it! We have reached out privately to help!
The plant looked healthy but with this plant, the thickest/widest part is the one that needs to continue to grow. But the top was broken off. So I'm disappointed and not sure the tree will develop and produce the fruit. It was a dragon fruit tree.
We are so sorry to hear how your plant arrived and that we didn't receive your email! We have reached out privately to get those photos so we can assist you in making this right!
We recently purchased two apple trees. I had accidentally ordered one not in my zone and they swapped it out for another of my choice with no issue (I called before it delivered). Trees arrived in less than a week! They were in great condition and are now planted in the ground. I cannot wait to get some apples!
I've made 4 or 5 purchases with FGT & have had good or great experiences. The plants have always been very well packaged except for one time when the plant had come loose during transit - that plant arrived with a broken limb & it didn't survive but FGT immediately replaced the damaged plant at no cost. The plants always arrive as described & quickly recover from transportations shock. Each of the plants I've purchased from FGT has looked really healthy and has grown well. For reference, I live in zone 8b & I've purchased from FGT: loquat, miss figgy, nectarine, phenomenal lavender. Citronella, jasmine, gardenia, knock-out rose, dappled willow, green velvet boxwood. It seems like FedEx always delivers my plant orders (FGT & others) & for some reason FedEx has been doing a terrible job in my area for about a year. There's almost always a delay in delivery & this is the main reason any plant I've received has arrived looking rough or stressed. Despite the delivery issues, plants from FGT always look really healthy!
Your website made it very easy to place the order. Great prices
The plants i got were healthy looking, however the root system wasn't very extensive. The plants were technically the guaranteed height, but they looked like they had been rushed through the rooting process and pushed out the door, so i hope that doesn't spell problems for me. My other and main issue is with the one year warranty that you have the option of purchasing. It is NOT a replacement warranty, but they don't tell you that up front. So i had to replace 6 plants but I found out that once they approve you for activating your warranty they basically give you store credit for the price of six plants at the price you paid the first time. Initially i had gotten bulk pricing because I bought alot of trees. But for the replacements i had to pay the higher price that you would pay for fewer plants, so the warranty didn't cover the entire cost of replacing six plants. In fact i had to pay almost an extra $50. That doesn't seem fair that I already paid extra for the warranty up front and then still have to pay more later. Not to mention that I think my replacements were smaller than the ones i got in my first order.
We are so sorry to hear about your experience. Our 1 year warranty covers the cost of what you paid for the plant only but we are always running free shipping promotions! Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience.
I paid four hundred and fifty seven dollars for three 4-5foot Norway Spruce trees. Fast Growing Trees.com should be ashamed to send such poor trees. There were few branches and they were neglected in proper pruning.
FedEx is the worst shipper. Packages always delivered upside down or smashed. Plant nursery must be northern US... plants have a hard time taking in Nebraska.
We're sorry to hear about the concerns with your plants! We are reaching out to get some photos so we can assist you further!
I bought the 3 gallon plumeria for my Mom for her 79th birthday. When it arrived, it looked very sick and lost a lot of leaves. It was also a different type of plumeria - not as pictured. It was a wild plumeria with fiddle leaves, not the type pictured that my Mom wanted me to buy for her. I'm disappointed because she looks like she hates it as it's not what she wanted. I'm still trying to nurse it back to health.
The jacaranda tree was dead on arrival.
I'm trying to revive it without success.
Can you replace it?
