Our last lab was so easy to potty train that I don't really believe what you are saying about the age and sphincter development with Labs. I think there is something more going on.
I recently adopted a 5yo (they think) pomeranian mix dog from our local SPCA. I have had a number of dogs over the years and this was my first pom so I wanted to learn more about their traits and breed characteristics. The information I found here was helpful especially how to handle jumping upnbut the training manual was too expensive for me right now so had originally assigned 3stars but I added a star for the free grooming manual.

It is nice that she does the 30 days free thing with the emails which send little tips on how to fix bad habits. And to see if my dog stops with those with her advice. It's very helpful and she is really nice.
