I bought a Nokia phone with a 1 year warranty. The phone works, but I dropped it. Phone was cracked/not working. OK - it was under warranty. I called Tracfone - all seemed okay. They promptly sent me the paperwork to ship them the phone for replacement. I did so. UPS delivered it - tracfone told me that it would be about a week for the replacement to arrive at my home. 1 week went by. No phone. Another week went by. No phone. I called Tracfone. This is when it really started getting interesting. One person would say "we're sorry for the delay - it's on its way. Another week goes by. No phone. I called them multiple times that week and received different responses each time. "It was already sent". We're sorry for the delay. Call us back on Monday." I call on Monday - no information about it coming. They kept sending me to their Warehouse to talk to their managers. Same story with them - "We're sorry". Coming in about 5 - 7 BUSINESS days. A week later - I call - each person I talked to acted like it was the first time I'd called. Another week or so - they would say. I finally reported it to the Better Business Bureau. The next day I get an e-mail from Tracfone corporate. Again - truly sorry were they. It's coming on an expedited shipment. A week later - no phone. My phone's data ran out while they sat on the replacement for a month. Money was wasted on that phone card. Each time I spoke with someone - they were really, truly sorry - but none of them helped me get my replacement phone in a timely manner. Something is truly wrong at Tracfone - I don't know what it is, but just know that you will encounter difficulties asking for a replacement phone - on warranty. The $ I spent on phone cards that expired while they sit on my broken phone - that's just me out of $ and luck.
