I have noticed that Total Wine tends to "push" certain labels and also all "Winery Direct" wines. I generally do not like the "Winery Direct" wines (except for one) and I don't buy them. I have told them before, that I don't like their "Buttercream Chardonnay" because of a phoney butter chemical taste, but hey keep pushing the ads for it. So I am questioning whether there is an extra profit margin for Winery Direct wines that encourages them to push these Winery Direct brands... or? However they do carry very good wines also, but they don't advertised them. I am suspicious.
They made me wait for 15 minutes and nobody came to help me in the recycling room. They told me the machines were working but they were not. I asked them to give me the ticket instead of making me waiting for someone who never was going to show up, and the answer was rude. I had to leave the cart there. Lost my time and my money.
I went in to find a bottle or two and met an incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly woman who was wonderful. Made my visit much more enjoyable to have a little assistance without being pushed in one direction or another. She made it clear that her tastes are bound to be different, but was able to direct me to something which would match my likes and I'll definitely be back to that specific location.
I find the website to be helpful as it can search tons of different vintners and varieties, telling you whether it's available at your local store or at nearby ones. The website worked just great for me to research and narrow things down, and the in-store experience was top notch. I'll be back to search again soon!
Huge selection! Love to go there and try new products. Even took a class there that was very informative!
I appreciate the effort they make now with delivery and in current conditions. I was satisfied since the product was good and delivered at time so big thanks.
Bad form guys! Went to your site to order for pickup - had 2 coupons, one for 20% for 6 bottles or more and one for 10%. Site said that our order for 6 bottles didn't qualify for the discount so we modified to the 3 things we really wanted but then couldn't get the 10% to go thru. Called the local store and were told that the company (or at least your on-line fulfillment company) has decided not to honor the coupons at this time because of how busy you are. Seriously? We are at a time when folks are struggling and you've decided to not honor coupons because business it too good. Not just bad form - downright sh--ty business practice. Especially when your guy at the store told us that if we called the online company we might be able to whine enough to get them to give us the discount... probably something he should have just handled for the 9 bucks we should have gotten. Think I'll just buy my booze elsewhere.
I have used their in-store pickup for years and now I use the curbside pickup to avoid human contact during this virus period/ The orders are ALWAYS correct and delivered promptly. Kudos!
Our sons of Italy had our club meeting in Braintree store first. We then enjoyed an evening with gentleman named Jerry, who took us through all the different wines and concentrated on wines from Italy. We all learned some great information. The wines were fantastic. We snacked on cheese and crackers and brought some other snacks. Everyone had a fun evening. Would recommend this to others for sure.
Thank You

I spend $1,000/mo there. I bought a customer recommendeed River Road Russian RIver wine at $22. It totally sucks
We've been going to Total Wine 4-5 years and your customer service is terrible! Employees NEVER say hello can I help you! I told this to Dee the cashier. She's the only one who greeted me and the customer next to me AGREED! You NEED to train 'management' and employees in customer service.
In terms of availability and options, they cannot be beat. However, I do think that they should have employees who are a little bit more into what they are selling. Often hard to find help, and when you find someone, they don't do much to provide assistance - automatically say something is out of stock without checking their system, some of their recommendations are not based or their own experience or tastes, etc and you end up trying a bad product. Definitely need to train.
From the Las Vegas and Henderson NV stores, I've been completely satisfied with the level of customer service, prices, and huge selection, and that applies to stores in each city. Staff have always been patient and helpful in recommending the right wines for me. Prices are probably the lowest in town, most comprehensive in selection. All of my friends who buy there say the same thing as I.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I approached two floor employees at various times to help me find a particular Champagne. They both said they would check stock and went away to check and never returned. I then approached a third employee who was on a house computer in the rear of the store and asked if they had other Nouveau Beaujolais other than the stock at the front door. He was quite annoyed that I had the audacity to interrupt him. He said quite sarcastically that he was checking stock for a customer but I didn't see anyone within eyesight. He told me whatever is at the front is it So while I was still waiting for the two MIA employees to report back to me as to the status of the Champagne stock I found another brand of Nouveau Beaujolais in the red wine aisle. At the time, I meandered by the so called "Champagne Tasting Booth". What a farce! The selection was limited to two Rose Sparkling Wine, One Prosecco and one Champagne from France. The only exceptional experience were the cashiers. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe Total Wine should consider putting the cashiers on the floor and place the incompetent floor employees behind the counter. A couple of good sommeliers would definitely be as asset.
