While my claim was ultimately approved, the process of dealing with the Nation Safe Drivers / Tire Rack Road Hazard portal was incredibly frustrating. If you do not meticulously check their work, their clerical errors will cost you money. Here is exactly what went wrong with my claim for a 2020 BMW 440i:
1. Glaring Clerical Errors & Ignored Vehicle Specs
The claims processor clearly did not pay attention to the details of my vehicle. My car runs a staggered setup, meaning the front tires are 225/40R19 and the rears are 255/35R19. The portal incorrectly logged my damaged front tires as mixed sizes (one 255 and one 225), which makes zero sense for a single axle.
2.There was no easy way to comunicate with the poeple working on your case.
3. Missed Damaged Tires
I submitted damage for three tires, but the initial authorization only accounted for two. I had to manually fight to get the third tire added to the claim limit.
4. Dangerous Advice from Phone Support
When I called the 855 claims support number to point out that the portal had the wrong tire sizes and an incorrect payout limit, the representative told me to "just buy the tires and it should be fine." This is terrible, potentially costly advice. According to their own strict Terms & Conditions, if I had uploaded a receipt for 225s to a portal expecting a 255, it could have been flagged as a mismatch and denied. Do not trust what phone reps tell you unless it is documented in writing on the portal.
5. Poor Portal Communication
The claims portal itself lacks a simple messaging feature, forcing you to upload PDF letters just to communicate with a processor. When they finally reviewed my written complaint and increased my payout limit to $635.40, they sent a generic automated message and still didn't fix the incorrect text labels for the tire sizes on my dashboard.

Bought tires 4 years ago with an 8 year 50,000 mile warranty and they are now not fully covered even though there is only 30,000 miles on them. When filing for the warranty they tread depth was taken into account and they are wearing way faster than the 50,000 miles promised. I believe this has been updated on tire rack for each tire stating a prorating warranty but was not when originally purchasing, only listed in the fine print. Was forced to purchase tires again from tire rack in order to get shipping for tires back to the manufacturer. I will not be advising anyone I know to use tire rack, and I will not use tire rack for the forseeable future. All in all a terrible experience tring to get the warranty claim made. Multiple missed calls and emails by tire rack dragged out the process an extra week while the only car I had to get to work was out of commission because of Vresden's faulty tires.

This order will be my third set of Cooper STT's for my 2015 F-150... great traction wet/dry, high mileage on each set, no failures... my go-to brand for road rubber.
I appreciate the value. Mount and balance prices at tire shops has increased a lot lately. Getting free mount and balance and free shipping is a deal. I almost prefer to buy wheels and tires everytime and sell my old setup to make up the difference.
I appreciate all the tire information and testing provided by Tire Rack. I also appreciate the Tire Rack sponsorships at SCCA event and I hope to see more of that in the future. Also, Tire Rack customer service has been great when I have had questions.

TR makes it easy to research and find excellent options at all price ranges. Especially like the free shipping and Road Hazard included. I've used TR multiple times for tires over the years and always satisfied. Outside of another seller having a particular special going on a specific tire I need, I always start, and usually finish with, TR for my tires.

Answer: I have used tire rack for multiple tires and wheels on various vehicles successfully, but no more. V. bad customer service experience after the sale and delivery. (12-16-20 through 1-21-22)
Answer: Very easy BUT THEY CANNOT HELP YOU OR DO ANYTHING BUT MAKE YOU WAIT, and they will not get back to you even after multiple calls.
