I have been searching for a specific vacuum bag for my Central Vacuuming System on my Sea Ray boat. I finally connected with "Think Vacuums" sales consultant, Kenny L. Who went out of his way in searching to find the right bag. He could have given up in the search but he was persistent, found it... and had it quickly shipped to my home. Great perseverance and outstanding customer service! George
I had to purchase some parts for my central vacuum system. I called and spoke with Andrew (twice). In both instances, he was polite and knowledgeable. I He sent me the stock numbers to place the order. I will use this company for my future needs.
I have not finished install but both reps I have worked with were very helpful in placing my order and getting accessories that fit the system.
The customer service department sold up central vacuum parts that did not fit. We even gave them our central vac system serial/model number before our original purchase. To correct the issue we placed and additional order that still did not correct the problem. They were suppose to ship us 4 powerhead tubes and we only received 3. Also we did not receive a manual. They did not not disclose their return policy and now have lost $265.00 in return shipping fees, restocking fees and other penalties. I have been trying to get a detailed copy of my return receipts for 3 weeks now and still do not have the info I need to submit to our cooperate office. I will write another review outlining all the charges we were charged. I have never experienced such poor customer service im my 10 years of purchasing experience. It was clearly an error on there side that we received parts that did not work/fit. Having to pay $265.00 (checked the refunded credit card amount and we paid return shipping fees), is in my opinion thievery! I will be disputing and reporting this!
Don't go here if you are unsure what you need to order for you central vac system. Their chat representative helped me pick what I needed - it was the wrong thing and then they charged me restocking fee and I had to pay to ship it back. Out almost $200 with nothing to show for it.
I was uncertain of not buying brand name for replacement of my Nutone central vacuum system accessories. I bought the Platinum accessory kit. The piece for hardwood floors has very little suction. It will pick up dog hair and dust, but is not strong enough to do anything with a small piece of dog food. I am used to my Nutone that had such great suction that it would literally pull a sock on the floor into the hose. The bare floor accessory for this kit is useless. I had to order one from Nutone. It works beautifully.
I called to let ThinkVacuums know of the problem so they might could correct it. Pretty much a waste of time. They said they would note it on my account.
I also like to give companies a chance to do the right thing before I write a negative review.
The positive is the reps are very helpful when you call to order trying to determine what your needs are.
But I will not be purchasing anything else from ThinkVacuums. Maybe they have enough business that they do not need repeat customers.
After contacting several vacuum parts companies I had an extended chat session with representatives at ThinkVacuums to replace a carpet powerhead. Despite assurances the powerhead they recommended would work with my system, their recommendation was incompatible. I cannot recommend this company.
Well, my experience with them has been unsatisfactory. In Jan 2020, I bought a replacement filter for my central vac. Fair price, and delivery was good. But in Apr, my vacuum failed, and it was due to dust and dirt getting in the motor, which was due to an incorrect fitting of that filter. In May, I emailed them with photos showing the filter was faulty, and asked for a replacement. No response. In Jun, I emailed them again. Heard from Dan in Jul that they would not send a replacement because the first one should have fit properly and "due to the amount of time that had passed from the original purchase date."
Robert the owner referred to the fact I was an idiot when I did not purchase the turbo brush that is what you need to vacuum a rug after he talked me into a $600-700 purchase. I didn't know I needed it after I spent over $700. Then after he insulted my intelligence he put me through to Abby who would take my credit card # for another $119.
My question is why didn't he tell me this at time of purchase?
By the time I talked to Abby to give my cc# I was in tears. She called back to get cc#! AGAIN and when I said in tears that she and owner had been mean she hung up on me.
I will never ever recommend these people at Think Vacuum to ANYONE ever. Hopefully resolved after chat and additional phone calls and emails.
Another update on this retailer. I purchased a few small items for my central vac. The wrong items were shipped. I returned them for a refund. It took them more than 3 months to process a refund with me asking each month. Secondly, when I was looking to buy a new central vac unit, they were quick to recommend a unit without even asking me if my circuit breaker would handle the amps it used. I did not buy from them and I'm glad. They are quick for the sale but don't really help in the buying process.
I Wish I saw their rating before I purchased from them. Terrible customer service, the absolute worst, they sent the wrong vacuum and then charged me a restocking fee, btw it too them a month to refund me for the wrong vacuum they sent me. I would never buy from them again, don't know how they stay in business.
Vacuum handle does not fit into base. I have notified company by chat and email several times. I am constantly put off by reps saying we are looking into it. I've Asked for replacement, assuming this is a lemon, or a return. Cost a lot.
I read the reviews below and have had a totally different experience. This is my third house with a central vacuum system and Think Vaccum has been more than helpful. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Each time I speak with a member of their sales team they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I've had to make one return which was easily taken care of... I highly recommend Think Vaccum's.
I am retired now but got up to SVP over 55 people managing Key corporate clients for two billon in annual reevenue. I know excellence in customer service when i see it and i can tell that with Think vacuums it starts at the top as it must to set the example for all to follow. Our Hayden central Vac of 18 years died and i wanted to replace it quickly. I digged deep in the data online and decided on the Drainvac brand for quality of build, power and features as well as the motor brand used expected to last. Well i went to the Thinkvacuums.com we site and ordered the Powerhouse model as perfect for our needs. Guess what, i mispelled my own email address in the order which caused a delay. A day later i inquired as to the status of the order The customer service Manager Juan and in minutes he had me corrected and my order in process. I, using the model number of my vacuum, received all the wrong parts, bags, belts and the like. I logged on to the website and entered a chat. Wow what a poor lag time in the chat. I discovered that there was a restocking fee and postage was on me. Manager Juan referred to me as Buddy. What a poor company.
Called to confirm that they had the part I was looking for in stock. Spoke with a sales person who confirmed the part was in stock. Placed order and received a different part. Called to figure out what happened. They claimed the part I ordered was discontinued and they sent a replacement. Very rude and not willing to fix any of it. I would stay far away from this company. Worst customer service ever. They want to blame the customer for their mistakes. The owner is claiming I did not look at the details before ordering. See the attached photo. They did not read the details of my order!
Ordered a new hose and accessory kit for our central vacuum that ThinkVacuums.com stated online would be compatible with our system. We ordered the kit, had free shipping, and received it about two weeks later. When we opened the package and tried it out, neither the hose or the accessory kit were compatible with our system. Also, the hose seemed to be used! When we called ThinkVacuums.com the first time to try to return it with their "Hassel Free Return Policy," they wanted us to replace our central vacuum system rather than simply returning the hose. The NEXT time we called them we got the go-around again but after awhile they finally issued us a RA number to return the package. When we went to ship the package we found out that between the cost to ship the package of wrong parts back, and the restocking fee, we would be paying them to take the close to $100 order back! Very disappointed in their products and their customer-service department. Please, please save your money and order from a reputable business.

We bought our Central vac system online from them a yr ago. They sell great products. You can't beat their pricing on units, bags & their accessories are the best in the industry. I've tried other bare floor tools that just do NOT work. Their's DO, especially when it comes to picking up dog hair! I ordered a replacement tool, was sent the wrong one, but NO PROBLEM. I emailed them & now have the correct item in the mail the same day, at no cost to us! I'm a lifetime customer.
Juan really helped me pick the right system for our new home. Awesome service. Really appreciate their care and concern.

Answer: They carry the best as i was able to determine after a great deal of research. I was looking for quality at a reasonable price not a cheap unit. THere is always cheaper to be found but not cheaper and better
