The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding warranty claims and customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled promises, poor communication, and inadequate support when issues arise. Customers often feel misled about warranty terms and express disappointment over the lack of resolution for product defects. However, there are also positive notes regarding the professionalism and care of delivery personnel, with some customers appreciating timely and careful service. Overall, while there are instances of satisfactory product delivery, the prevailing sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and warranty handling.

I needed a new sectional and have a very finite space. I first tried to buy from a local family shop, but they had nothing that would fit my space. I went to the Brick outlet in my town and was given the service of going to the counter and asking if they had anything that would fit my space No is all I received. Now I'm left with the internet, searching and searching. I find a six piece at the Brick that could have a piece removed and fit my space, as it was modular. I ordered and set up a delivery (that was extra). They allowed me online to pick a Saturday delivery, however, I get a phone call to rell me that they will deliver on Friday and Saturday was no longer an option. I had some vacation days left and took Friday off to have them deliver. They arrived with all six pieces still in the packaging that they would have been in the original port from which it shipped. They then proceeded to pop a piece through my door, damaging the door jam, shrugged and said "it won't fit". They left the pieces on my front lawn, had me sign their clipboard and left. This is furniture delivery? My door is no smaller than any other door. When I have had furniture delivered before, they would at least break down the packaging to a point it would get in the door! I managed, it is assembled and I am happy with the product. They do have good products but the service ( in my opinion, what makes us shop where we do) is, simply awful.
Bought high end refrigerator during their august tent sale day. Specifically required a no to exceed date as we are not here for the winter. Sept 12 delivery on the contract. September 14 contacted a brick was told that earliest delivery was November 29.
Want to cancel contract as they can't honor their contract terms. They came back a day later and stated it would be no later than sept 29. September 25 was contacted and told new delivery date was going to be November 29 again. Clearly the local establishment will either bait and switch or drag out issues to avoid cancellations.
I went to the store and offered a discount of $100. What good is a delivery when I will be away for months as of October. They countered we'll try to due better on the delivery. Clearly these people do not listen, either.
Demanded cancellation of the agreement and a full refund.
Contracted is now cancelled. First and certainly last visit to the Brick
I visited the Brick about a week ago to purchase a mattress. The sales rep - Joanne - was very helpful, but I found out later not fully informed about what the Brick can and cannot do in regards to delivery (in town - Huntsville, Ontario). I was told by her that it was the last day of the sale, and that free delivery was available for any product 499 and over, which the new mattress was. I thought on it and decided to get the mattress. I went back to the store and asked for Joanne, the manager told me that she wasn't in that day and that someone else could help me. I said I'd come back as she had helped me, and that I would stay with her (she did all the work - why not). He was very rude.
I went back to the store to seek out the sales rep - Joanne. Told her that I was going to purchase the mattress (this is a good week since she told me the sale was over - lie), and started to talk particulars. No to free delivery - lie ($89.00), if I wanted the mattress comfort guarantee I had to buy their mattress cover, and that it had to be on the receipt in order to take advantage of the 30 day guarantee ($79.00) - lie. Also, they will take away your old mattress for a charge $25.00, but then I had to put a 120lb mattress in a bag myself while the delivery guy watches, I am 62 old, and cannot do this.
As far as I am concerned, The Brick is in it for the money only. It is not the first time. I tried to purchase a TV, and paid for it and then had to get a refund as the TV never in 3 months arrived. BUT they had my cash, and tried everything in the book to keep it.
Never again, the reps don't know their stuff and the manager really doesn't give a damn about a. His staff; b. His customers.
Terrible company worked for them for over 5 years to be thrown out the door with nothing wouldn't recommend at all
I ordered a sectional from the brick. Love the sectional, but the left/right facing was confusing when ordering online. I looked at their pictures and ordered a right facing. When it arrived their team set up the sectional while I was upstairs. I looked and everything works and was in good shape so i sent them on their way. Upon looking at the layout I realize it's the wrong way (we needed a left). I immediately called the brick, as we haven't even sat on it, and they wanted to charge me $861 to make the switch because it was out of packaging and there were no defects. ABSOLUTELY NOT. They then called back and said $681. We were lead to believe we had 48hours to decide with the couch, not just defects.
I've ordered couches from many places and with it being brand new and just an exchange of parts, i cannot believe how this all played out, and that this is their policy.
Severely disappointed and will never give the brick another dime and I suggest no one else does either.
We purchased a sofa from the brick had it two weeks when the arm let go now they want us to have it repaired instead of replacing it will never buy another article from these people. Why should I have someone come in and have something that's brand new torn apart and fixed instead of replacing stay away from this place instead of throwing away over 3000.oo dollars like we done
Delivery was on time. TheBrick was consistent with updates & delivery time. However, upon delivery I was very disappointed to hear my marble dining table was broken & needed replacing. I was advised breakage was common for this item but there were lots in stock. After so much communication I was disappointed no one contacted me for replacement. I then started calling. No one at the Regent store where I purchased answers. I then cld call centre where after 15 minutes of putting me ok hold, they advised replacement expected 2-3 wks. Now they have my money, absolutely no more customer service. I know of horror stories from friends saying replacements can take up to 6 months with TheBrick. I will also state if this table isn't replaced by mid Sept as promised, I will return in person. I will post a daily review to warn others why not to buy from this store.
Terrible company! Purchased a new upright Galanz freezer and an extended warranty.Freezer quit working in the first year. The brick did not help me,explained that l had to call Galanz. It was not their problem because the appliance quit in the first year.Within 3 days Galanz issued a refund check for the freezer.l called the brick 3 times Requesting the money l paid for the extended warranty, l did not use.To which they replied,oh we have never experienced this.We will call you back with an answer. They never called me back.l called the third time and asked what is going on.Long story short her response was oh yes we got an answer today.(I called at 7pm they had the answer but didn't call me)call us at the end of the warranty 5yrs answer will credit it towards another purchase of 400 dollars or more.l said, you got to be kidding. You leave me no choice will have to call the consumer protection.l explained the freezer is not working and is on my back porch not working and Galanz has allready issued a refund cheque.Forva new freezer l have to take to the dump, but you guys want me to wait 5 years to refund my extended warranty which really isn't a refund.l have to make a purchase and the warranty carries over to another product.l told her l would be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. To which she replied that's fine.Wow, l said class act.No response l ended up hanging up.l will be fighting for mynmoney back.ln a way it's my fault. The brick screwed me on 2 previous sales.l swore l wouldvnever deal with the Brik again, but here lam getting screwed again!
Do not buy the extended warranty, whatever you do! They make it sound so great at the time of purchase as if they will replace anything... WRONG. We have a 4 year old couch that costs over $3000 in store and it started pilling badly. Well, because we didn't do the warranty claim at the first sign of pilling they will not honour the warranty. WHAT? Since there are multiple signs of pilling and ripping, they won't do anything. Absolutely absurd. Oh, and it took FOREVER to get someone out here, the guy would call but wouldn't leave a message and it comes from a random phone number so you have absolutely no idea they are even calling, then I got a lovely email from someone at the brick saying LAST WARNING, as if they were actually providing customer service and calling and leaving a message. I've been waiting on someone to call or email back regarding their ridiculous decision on our warranty and crickets. TERRIBLE customer service!
Daniel St Pierre assisted us with our purchase of a King Size bed, he was very knowledgeable about the products and worked with us to put together a package that worked within our budget. Helpful, courteous and professional without pressuring sales tactics. Great representative of the Brick
My husband and I went shopping today at the Brick as the tent sale was going on. We were wanting to buy
A new washer and dryer. Before we were in the store a very friendly employee asked if he could help
Us and we told him what we were looking for. He directed us to Angela Wong and she helped us.
A wonderful lady and helped us with choosing the right ones to buy. Such a personable and caring lady.
We were happy with the price and the service was great. Joy & Bruce
WE'VE BEEN SHOPPING AT THE BRICK FOR YEARS. RECENTLY BOUGHT SAMSUNG WASHER, DRYER, FRIDGE, STOVE AND MICROWAVE. AT THAT TIME ALL NEEDED FOR ID WAS A MEDICARE CARD. NOW DRIVER'S LICENCE IS NEEDED AS WELL. WE WERE TURNED DOWN FOR LACK OF THIS. THE SALESMAN COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL AND WE WERE THERE FOR 3 HOURS. IT TOOK 67 MINUTES TO BUY ALL OF THESE AT BRAULT& MARTINEAU AND ONLY WITH ONE ID!
I bought the mattress from Brick in 2019 and it's got very sagging. I sent claims in June & I didn't get any response from Carlos Carancio. I keep calling him left him mgs & emailed him so many times but never respond back. I spent almost $1800 on memory foam mattress. It's very saggy from middle. Me & my husband got back issues with this mattress. I need urgent help with it. Thanks
I am never buying anything from the BRICK ever.awful disgusting service.delivery 5 hours late.disgusting.and items arrived ripped and broken and no help
If you buy an appliance fom THE BRICK, your extended warranty will likely be with TRANS GLOBAL, one of hte worse companies in Canada. This means that you will have the time to grow old before your appliance is repaired. They are very difficult to reach, do not return calls, hang up on you and perpetually postpone the repair. Look them up and you will see. The technicians are not at fault for this. Most of them are friendly and professional. But because of their association with TRANS GLOBAL, THE BRICK is to be avoided.
Terrible quality, terrible customer Service Experience! A warranty that is useless, keep away!
After doing research and going to four different stores in our community, I found what I was looking for through Mary at The Brick in Peterborough. She was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I decided to call my husband to come to the store as it was a special offer for that day only and we needed to make a decision. We wanted a King Sized bed. With each of us having with different sleep issues, Mary gave us time to discuss things on our own. She came back when we asked her to do so and there was no pressure put on us. We had additional question which were answered to our satisfaction. The delivery was also within a week and the three gentlemen were friendly, asked questions to ensure we got exactly what we wanted, were quick and tidied up before they left. This was on a very rainy day, They ensured that we were happy before they left. My husband and I are very pleased with how this entire process happened and are very grateful to the Brick.
I had been shopping around but when I went to the brick a lovely gentle lady came over to me and offered her assistance to help me.\i told her what my search was for and told her my want and budget and she went on a search and found the exact product I was looking for. While she was searching since it wasn't actually in the store, I went around and saw a couple other items that I will definitely be back to purchase. The showroom is large and just filled with gorgeous items for every room in your home. The very nice lady's name is KIM MARCHBANK and I will definitely be back to see her for another purchase or two. Thanks Kim!
Answer: Brick has worst customer service. Their service department in New Market office are extremely pathetic.
Answer: They are a massive scam company. No customer service, no loyalty to their customers. Once you have paid, good luck receiving your merchandise on time, or getting replacements for the damaged goods. They lie through their teeth about timelines and promise things that never happen. They do not communicate amongst themselves, so one person will tell you one thing and the next has no idea and says it can't be done. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Stay away!
Answer: Many furniture companies out there who are more reliable in shipping products on time. Amazon and Wayfair were good (although, I had one Wayfair order which had some damaged pieces that Wayfair has not been good at replacing).
