I ordered MURAD eye resurgence cream. I called MURAD after reading bad reviews... I wanted to make sure it wasn't fake. MURAD says if it doesn't have a hologram seal, it didn't come from them and that the beauty place is not an authorized retailer. I called the beauty place and was told by Lisa that they open the product for quality assurance and put another seal on... and that the bad reviews online are no good unless they come from bizrate. She also said that MURAD is just saying bad things about them because they don't like the lower price. I call bullcrap... I'm going to attempt to return it but will be surprised if I get my money back. BEWARE!
I ordered an expensive large bottle of a product I have enjoyed using previously, Neocutis Journée. The airless pump broke and I cannot get the product out. The manufacturer said to return it to point of purchase and it would be replaced at no cost. However, when I contacted TheBeautyPlace.com, they said it was beyond their 30-day return policy and refused to replace it. Update: the manufacturer, Neocutis, informed me that the BeautyPlace is not an authorized retailer, and therefore would not replace the defective package for me, either. **Buyer Beware: I'm out $116.**
I ordered a bottle of LA ROCHE POSAY ANTHELIOS 60. First, it was delivered via FedEx in a brown box but the product was wrapped in a UPS bubble envelope. Second, the label was placed on the wrong side of the bottle. Third, the QR codes were sliced off of the front and back labels. I sent an email with photographs to The Beauty Place to request that they send me a prepaid return label and with specific instructions to keep all communications written. They left me a voicemail a few days later to state that all of their products are genuine (even though subsequent email communications I had with La Roche Posay confirmed that they are not an authorized dealer) and that the manufacturers occasionally change product packaging so my order does not qualify for a prepaid return envelope. Their voicemail, however, did not address the fact that the QR codes were removed from the package. I have disputed the charge with American Express.
The below is being posted as a response to the comment left by Jennifer R of The Beauty Place:
1) The Beauty Place never addressed why the QR codes were removed from the labels.
2) My request was for a refund and a pre-paid label return shipping. While they did send me a return authorization (immediately after I emailed them to say I was going to dispute the charge with American Express), they never sent me a pre-paid label to return the product.
- Not sure how ignoring to address the two issues above is "... attempting to assist you"
- Why isn't information available on their Bizrate page on the 'return process"?
Hi Alvin,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our products are authentic and genuine - we firmly stand by that statement and have a loyal consumer base that are satisfied with their products and orders. According to the order details, customer service approved for a return to be processed for a refund. We are sorry to hear that you opted to already submit a dispute via your credit card company as we were attempting to assist you. The reviews placed on SiteJabber do not reflect the experience our customers accurately and encourage customers to research our company fully: http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/merchant_detail__mid--198339.html?rf=sur OR

Once again, we apologize that your experience was less than satisfactory.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
The skin ceuticals product I ordered arrived promptly. It is definitely fake. I compared the packaging and product with the one that I purchased full price at the doctor's office. Shame on me for not reading the reviews prior to ordering. Just trying to save $$$$. Bad decision.
Should be no stars but it won't submit without a star!
This is the first and last time I will ever purchase from the Beauty Place. My item arrived broken and the company insisted I was at fault because they "check all items before they go out". I'm waiting to see if they will send my refund as they did not offer to replace it with a working item.
Dear Rachel,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the experience you had with us. We assure you that we just wanted to attain more information on the damaged item and in no way meant that you were at fault. According to the notes on your order, we covered your return shipment expenses and a refund was issued on July 27th and should reflect within 3-5 business days.
Once again, we apologize for any misunderstanding experience.
Sincerely,
TheBeautyPlace.com
I recently ordered 10, eight ounce containers of Peter Thomas Roth lotion. What I received isn't even close to the real thing! I spent $90 and desire a full refund. The lotion I received is of a watery consistency, very cheap with no scent. Peter Thomas Roth is a very rich, moisturizing lotion with a very clean, masculine scent. What I ordered is definitely not the real thing as I've been using this product for 15 years! I've open a case with PayPal and hope to have it resolved ASAP!
I ordered product over a week ago and still have not received. I tried to log into my account and that password will not work ( I know it is the correct password). I requested the link to reset password and never received the email as stated on the website. This place is a joke. Do not waster your time ordering from here.

I would not even give them one star. I agree with the other reviews about poor customer service, fake products, etc. Would strongly recommend against using this website.
Buyer BEWARE!
The Beauty Place sells BOGUS products.
The Jan Marini products that I paid close to $100 dollars are BOGUS.
The "supervisor" Danielle did nothing to rectify the situation.
THIS COMPANY IS A SHAM.
Let's take em down!
THE BEAUTY PLACE IS A FRAUD AND A SHAM.
STAY AWAY
Dear Sheila,
We apologize for the poor experience with your purchase. TheBeautyPlace.com does not sell fake product and we stand by that statement.
According to the order notes, Danielle did approve a return on your order and you received a full refund on November 13,2014.
The customer service representative and supervisor assisted you fully with your order.
In your conversation with the customer service representative, it was said that it would be escalated to resolve the matter as a courtesy. You received a phone call and an email stating that the return was approved, the instructions for the return and that a refund would be issue which was the resolution requested by yourself and was to your satisfaction.
This review does not accurately the entire customer service experience or returns policy process.
We wish you the best.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
I ordered TNS serum, eye cream and moisturizer and got all three for less than the TNS serum cost me at my doctors office! Great customer service, super fast delivery and NO shipping charges! I love The Beauty Place! I will continue to order all my products from them!
I agree with the customer service, it sucks. When I placed an order there was a 15% coupon but it didn't give me the 15% off when I placed the order. I called and she said there wasn't a 15% off currently, I told her I wasn't dreaming the coupon code and she said we don't have one, I told her to cancel my order and she hung up... wonder what will happen
Dear Rhonda,
We are truly sorry for your unpleasant experience.
There are other codes live on the site today and the code for 15% off was not one of them. We do apologize for any confusion and an email response was sent to you. The customer service representative did not hang up, the line went quiet as she spoke - these are the notes on your order.
As requested, your order has been cancelled. Please refer to the email sent for more information.
We wish you the best.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
They have horrible customer service. The "manager" was literally yelling at me in the phone and called me a liar when I called them out on there's obagi products. I have definitely learned my lesson and now I'm out of $220 on FAKE OBAGI! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE they are scam artists just trying to get your money.
Dear Desiree,
We apologize for your experience with customer service and note that we understand your frustration. As for the Obagi products, we assure all customers that we do not sell items that have been tampered with and do not sell fake products.
As stated in our Return Policy, we do not accept returns on any used or opened items. All returns require that items be in their original packaging. We do encourage customers to read the policy prior to making a purchase and encourage them to contact us if they have questions concerning this policy.
If the items are damaged or didn't arrive in your package, refunds/replacements are gladly done but TheBeautyPlace.com strictly abides to their policy to be fair with all customers.
We wish you the best.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
They are putting fake product in their empty containers, and selling them to
Unsuspecting people. My most recent case in point... Dandrene Shampoo.
The contents of the container, which they sold to me for $50.00, is definitely
Completely bogus... I know because this was pulled on me before. And they corrected it then, only when they got caught. I actually forgot about my past dealing with The Beauty Place.com, and accidentally ordered again, from them. I've used Dandrene products for years., and there are a lot of very bad online sellers out there. Please AVOID this seller and spend your hard-earned money wisely.
P.S. They are extremely difficult to contact after a sale... maybe impossible!
I purchased a $80 CHI Turbo Auto Digital Ceramic Spring Curl Iron in March and by October the spring on the top lever under the handle slipped out of place and isn't holding my hair tight between the lever and the barrel. I contacted thebeautyplace.com and at first they said they would replace the curling iron. The next day they said they would not, that I had to deal directly with the manufacture of the curling iron (Farouk). When I called Farouk to ask for a replacement they said they could not give me a replacement. They said there are counterfeit products out there so they can't guarantee the iron if it's not sold through an authorized online retailer. The beautyplace.com IS NOT an authorized online retailer for Chi. I've never spent $80 on a curling iron in my life, but thought all the good things I'd heard about the Chi brand and the ceramic barrel would be worth it. I've bought $20 curling irons that have lasted several years and this one only lasted six months. SO mad! I hold thebeautyplace.com responsible!
I placed an order on this website two weeks ago. I ordered skin care products and thinning hair shampoo for an awesome price! They emailed me a confirmation when I processed the order, and then got another email confirmation when the order shipped with a tracking number. It was regular service. I live in California and I got free shipping with UPS. I received shipment in 4 days! Surprised but very impressed. Will order again.
I recently purchased this product, received it and noticed that the texture was brown and clumpy, which is not what it is supposed to be. It SHOULD be white and creamy. I contacted the actual Macadamia store and they said that their formula has not changed and that the product should be white and creamy. They also said they have been trying to get thebeautyplace.com website to stop selling Macadamia Hair products for a while. This site sells fake products. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE! The prices are really too good to be true! I called and said the item was defective and they said they would email me a return slip. I never got one. I have called multiple times. This company is crooked and have bad customer service!
Great prices for their hair products and they always have deals (free gifts, with purchase, etc.). Good customer service & pretty quick shipping. On the down side, some of their popular products are often out of stock, but if you keep checking, they'll eventually be in stock. And most importantly, free shipping for purchases $50 or more - even to Hawaii (a rare find)!
Dear GG.,
Thank you for the positive review! We changed the free shipping amount to apply to all orders $49 and up, Hawaii still included!
Note that we are always trying to keep our inventory updated and customers can always contact us if they are wondering when a product will be back in stock.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
Answer: Nope - they sell fake products. Do not spend a single dime. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Answer: Hi Barbara, Yes, TheBeautyPlace.com is up and running. We are not sure why the website is not responding for you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our customer service department at 877-990-1112 M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
Answer: Hi, Trina all of the products that are sold on TheBeautyplace.com are authentic, new and unused. Since we sell Skinceuticals well below their retail price we are not licensed or authorized by Skinceuticals. A lot of skinceutical products do not come with a expiration date, instead they have a shelf life. Some products like the SPF's do come with expiration dates. If you do need a date you could always call our customer service department and they could help you further with that information.
Answer: Hi, Jacqueline Thank you for your question and we understand your skepticism. All of our products are genuine and authentic product. Also we do not sell products that have been tampered with or are expired. Below we have provided you with our return policy. https://www.thebeautyplace.com/return-policy Thank you, Jennifer
