I have been using text now for a while and have given out that number but for some reason they decided to permanently block my account for "violation". Problem is, that I appealed and nothing is happening. No response and no clarification as to what the violation is.
I have been waiting over a month for a response that they claim should have come within 1 week.
Very much annoyed at their service.

I've had my TextNow number for 4 years which says a lot. Not only am I able to use it anywhere in America, I'm able able to use it literally anywhere around the globe where there is internet.
After ordering a sim card for a mere $4 earlier this year, I tapped into a new dimension of data service. I enjoyed high 5G data speeds up to 10GB and it was marvelous. I can recall a particular day when there were network issues in my area and I was the only person with a stable internet connection within a 20 mile radius. That's when a lot of my friends found out about TextNow because they were surprised that I still had internet.
A drawback was the fact that I was unable to share my hotspot with friends, which really wasn't a big deal. Also, if you plan to use more than 10GB before the month elapses, that 2G connection will annoy you. The solution to this, of course, is to renew your data early. Fortunately, I've only needed to do that once. My data plan only failed me in a handful of rural areas where there were absolutely no cell towers. Otherwise, even with a single bar, I was able to enjoy high 5G speeds of data.
Overall, TextNow has proven itself to be a very good service provider, locally and internationally.
I've been using them for years and that's not going to change. If you want a phone # at a fair price this is the company for you.
Not to bad the communication is good on my side and a good network.
