This is with regards to the medication/treatment given to my aged mother who was admitted for angioplasty of left limb. The consulting vascular surgeon was extremely efficient and an excellent medical professional but we had a harrowing experience with the SICU team. The Head ICU/RMO, nurses and the housekeeping staff from the night shift were a rude and unprofessional lot. Right from administering prescribed medicines for Diabetes and BP in wrong dosages to giving her multiple tablets (4 Nos) of un-prescribed medicine (Restyl 0.5 mg), they did it all. To add, she was tied to her bed with blanket and gauze roll to prohibit movement and left in unhygienic state for hours.
The diaper bag and diabetic footwear were missing at the time of taking discharge. When confronted all they had to say was SORRY. So much in a span of 12 hours!
How do you trust them with medical care?!
My mother has developed phobia for hospital admission as an aftermath.
