Damaged Property
August 10, 2023

Sudenlink damaged my main sewer line to the main from the city.
They have not ever returned my calls that have been going on for over a month.
My business can not operate without restrooms'. The damage is documented with West Cedar Creek utility. We have camera inspections that show the damage. I get the same answer every time I call. Someone will get back in touch?

Their domain registration information is incorrect, the "abuse team" probably takes the complaints right into the trash, no action is being taken to stop criminal hacking activities in their network. America's Finest... They should be shut down for supporting criminal activities and ignoring their obligations to act on complaints.

Horrible
September 1, 2022

Recently bought a new home. Waited a week for suddenlink/ optimum to come out (understandable time). I have the best package the offer in my area which is 1 gig download. Worked pretty good for about a week. Now the internet cuts out ALL THE TIME. Have to reset modem non stop. I do not have cell phone service where I live so I have to 100% rely on this pos internet in order to take calls for work if I get called out. I just can't figure out that we're in 2022, cloning animals, coming out with all these inventions and new medications…. And suddenlink can't figure out how to make their services work. How has another company not stepped in to take over the rural areas at this point? Would gladly give my money to another company without hesitation. Complete $#*!

No connection
July 26, 2022

I literally have to unplug and replug my router 5-10 times a day just to get a connection and when I do it lasts for maybe 1 hour. Awful service, awful customer service and I can't wait until my contact is up.

No service
July 22, 2022

I called sudden link and let them know that I don't have any service for cable and internet since mid month. A technician came out and could not fix it, because technician told me the hub station is on your neighbors land. I cannot fix it. You talk with your neighbor and set up appointment for me to come out again so I can fix it. I stated I am not going to watch my neighbor when he comes home and go to my neighbors house to set the appointment for you so you can fix my cable and internet. Now suddenlink will not refund my money. I think suddenlink robbing their customer. I already paid in advace for the month. I have not even had service.

If I could give Suddenlink NO STARS I would. Or even negative stars. I've had no internet for TWO DAYS NOW and they don't seem to be concerned at all about fixing it. Unacceptable. (Note: they are changing to Optimum so avoid them too! Probably to get away from the name Suddenlink that's associated with SO MANY unhappy customers and bad reviews).

Their service is TERRIBLE. I have not had internet now for 2 days. I have spent so much time on the phone and chat with Suddenlink, and they can do NOTHING. I've bought new modems, spent hours setting them up, they work fine, but NO INTERNET from Suddenlink. Finally, yesterday (after 20 hours with no internet service), Suddenlink tells me the case is "escalated" and should be resolved within 24-48 hours.?!?!?!?! One to two DAYS? For them to repair/resolve their own internet issue? Like most people I work from home and this is completely unacceptable. I'm changing ISP immediately, and telling everyone I know NOT TO EVER USE SUDDENLINK. Their service is a joke.

I have had Suddenlink at my house 5 times this month to fix my internet being sporadic. Today a tech was supposed to show up to give me a new modem. He comes into my house without tools or the modem. My cable was working fine.

He says he needs to go into the attic, why? Only he knows. While he was in the attic my cable went out and even my sporadic internet. He returns and says "you have had wires", and we do not fix that. He then saunters to my door.

I call the office to complain. The lady I spoke to was not helpful. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After requesting 5 times I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told she was on a call and would call me. This was at 2:30 pm, it is now 12:16 am and still no call, no internet or TV.
Stay away from Suddenlink, I pay them 170 dollars a month and I get this service.

Signed,

Soon to be ex customer

The worst
July 11, 2022

I have been waiting on new service for 2 weeks since relocating. Poor communication, poor customer service, and they have been paid in full since 6/13/2022. Please explore all options before choosing Sudden link for service. The 1st tech told me to go get firesticks because the job would take too long. The attorney general needs to be notified of their practice. If I am having all these issues I am sure the elderly and disabled customers experience the same service.

0 stars. The is absolutely the worst, most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. No exaggeration. Do not use them! After many hours, on hold with these people everytime you call it is extended wait, 55 minutes as we speak…and still holding Today, after transferring numerous times, each giving an account number and telephone number, all this hold and they don't even transfer that. Then they tell me to speak with a supervisor it will be 2 - 4 h hours. Canceled this service and mailed the equipment back in early April, called and got a final bill which was paid April 29th and now 2 months later they are sending me another bill for overage in an apartment we had moved out of and confirmed equipment was returned and received by Suddenlink on my last call of over an hour back on April 12th. They ARE HORRIBLE. Rude and unprofessional. How can I leave 0 stars?

Sudden Link is one of the most terrible internet services. It is constantly lagging and losing service. The upload speed is always inconsistent as well. I stream on facebook for video gaming. Do yourself a favor and avoid Sudden Link at all costs. It would be a huge mistake on your part.

Hi

We been using Suddenlink ever since we moved down to Regina, Kentucky.

Years later, BAM, Suddenlink charges over $200 per month JUST for scams. High Speed Internet? All we got instead was refurbished equipment that came out of the damn RIVER! They've gotten fined $2.2 million dollars for their ignorance not too long ago. But they probably haven't even paid it. My family uses the internet for social media viewing, article reading, watching YT videos

But me personally, I'm a content creator, without the proper internet, I can't stream but I can record/upload videos. But their services has been so $#*!ty lately. It's gotten to the point where people are cancelling their services with the provider. It's ridiculous. Hell, over THREE WEEKS AGO. Suddenlink's sent in one of their newest so-called "contractors" over to my place and here's what they did. In the photo tied to this review, you can see that Suddenlink's newest so-called "contractors" came over to my place to replace the copper-wiring cable with fiberoptics and this is the $#*! that remains on our lawn. A spool of fiberoptic cable following by three $#*!ing pylons. They need to be banned from the country for LIFE! Cuz this $#*!'s ridiculous. I'm not paying over $200 per month with this $#*! in my lawn.

We got all excited when the Suddenlink Sales Rep knocked on our door! I don't have a problem with the TV, the internet service or sales! The first main guy that came to install our service ripped our vent off of our house because, he didn't want to take his behind under the house! I would have had more respect for him if he had just said that he didn't want to go under the house. Between my husband and myself we have talked to 7 different people all promising to do something with 24 hours. 3 WEEKS later my vent is still unrepaired and at this point Trouble Shooter sounds like my only option!

Too Many Mpologies!
March 23, 2022

My internet has been out for 2 days. My cable became disconnected from the house and run over by a car.
But yet they told me they could see my modem (because I always ask) when I was rebooting it?
Their fix was for me to bring my modem in to the store to get it swappped out... pretty sure that wasn't going to do me any good.
I work from home. Virtual calls, Teams call, zoom calls. You name it.
1.5 days later the service guy came arrived but he could not climb on the ladder and make the connection due to wind. Isn't it always windy in Amarillo?
My next appointment is now two days later.
Everyone at the lower levels you talk to understands your frustration... they say … you have a right to be upset... but you can't talk to anyone who could change things because they won't call you back.
One of the WORST companies I have to deal with.
And don't get me started on the whole dial in que…uuuggghhhh!

Unfortunately Suddenstink is the ONLY internet provider in our area. I really wish they would let other companies come in and give them a run for their money! I live in a town where I think 95% of us, if not more, would jump ship and go with anyone else. Service cuts out all the time, they charge WAY TOO much for their crappy service and their customer service is a complete joke. You can't even go into a store to cancel anything, you can only do that by calling "customer service". How this company is still in business is beyond me :(

Horrible
February 25, 2022

I have never been more disrespected. They lied about giving me a credit. When I called them on it the gentleman became disrespectful by insulting my intelligence. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said there weren't any around. I asked him his name. He said his name was Romeo. When I asked what his last name was he said he didn't have one. He was quick to say if we didn't pay he would cut is off. We've had 9 technicians at our home. We've jumped through hoops and this is the treatment we continue to get. If you have any other options do not go with Suddenlink or Altice One. The only reason why I have to deal with them is because I have no other choice. Horrible company.

HIGH SPEED CRIMINALS
January 16, 2022

They just suck!

Unfortunately the best (read ONLY) option in the area. Signing up with them is like signing up to run a marathon after you put the time training to run the marathon and then finding out after you run the first mile of the race that you have to add a 5 lb weight to your ankles every mile. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I have a 100mbps connection... Speedtest says under 10 on a regular basis.

Update December 2021:
NO THEY ARE NOT AWESOME TO WORK WITH!

- Nobody in customer service can articulate a sentence in English.
- Website says no outages, Phone says outage.
- Suddenlink employee cut the cable to my house... 3 weeks have passed... still not fixed, despite trucks being spotted in my neighborhood and 2 canceled appointments for "safety" on sunny clear days?
- They overcharge for services they haven't provided.
- They won't allow existing customers to change to lower priced plans that provide faster speeds.
- Their technicians will tell you they don't have the infrastructure to support the plans they sell.
- Despite multiple outages for more than a week at a time, they refuse to issue credit...
- They want me to pay $60 for an "appointment" scheduled 2 weeks out which is due to problems that they are responsible for... wtf?

MY BILL IS OVER $200 a month consistently with overage charges despite being out of town for several months!

SO F'ing CROOKED!
There are supposed to be laws to protect consumers against such monopolized practices... but they are literally the only company in the area which offers this service.

I was one of their first highspeed customers... I have been a customer for over a decade. I can say there has been ZERO improvement. In fact it has gotten worse. Suddenlink definitely gets my vote for WORST COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA!
