Stocktwits may have been created to allow investors to share ideas but the site is inundated by verbose commenters who spout words that, to the novice investors, sound like they might know something about stocks, BUT THEY DON''T. The site is essentially useless. Knowledgeable investors have long since left this site. Overall monitoring of posts on this site is very haphazard.

There's little to no real information on this site, just a lot of meaningless cheering and booing as mentioned by another review. The suspension system is broken, you can get away with constantly harassing and abusing other members, but if you do random things like voicing some specific opinions, you will get booted.

Stocktwits is too quick to suspend someone for minor infractions without telling the person what they did wrong. They say, in their email, that they will respond in two to three days to an inquiry about correcting a mistake made so that one can be reinstated but this is a lie. Once you are suspended its permenant and you never hear from them again. Shortly after mentioning how insiders may be manipulating the market I was suspended without explanation. I suspect that if this was the reason why then it makes me wonder if stocktwits is comprised of a bunch of elitist snobs who are using the stocktwits site as a platform for monitoring stock sentiment so insiders can adjust stock prices accordingly. Otherwise why would they suspend me? Bad business practice not responding to email.

I wouldn't take any direct advice from anyone on this site but it does work very good as a sounding board for ideas. This site could also potentially be used to pump particular stocks up which is a bad thing. However I think it's a great place for traders to get together and exchange ideas without all the political crap that is everywhere else. I am relatively new to the site but so far I am happy. There is a free and a paid version.
