I attend the direct entry nurse MASTERS at St Catherine University in St Paul, MN. This by far was THEEEE worst decision of my life! The classes are so unorganized, that even the professors don't know what to do and 1/3 of the class is failing! Patho is being made up as the semester progresses and when we showed up for our first clinicals, they didnt know we were coming so we ended up sitting in their break room! It's like a Monty Python skit! Most of the instructors are over 75 and are locked into military-style teaching. Since no one actually wants to teach at this 120-year-old college, they are only able to find vo-tec teachers. Im sure they are fine teachers with high school age, but not teaching someone how to be a nurse at a masters level. The school is joke and it is clear to see this is their last ditch effort to gain money before the ship sinks. If you want to get into a direct entry nurse master's program, I strongly suggest another one of the dozens of colleges that offer the program.
