Society preformers academy was the best experience and my daughter life she learn lot and she will definitely we go back next year Joe Lorenzo and Amie are the best team to work with ask family we learn new things and is a new whole world and experience and my daughter life we love and recommend it 100%
As an amateur to the whole experience you and your staff was available with an answer for EVERY QUESTION (even when the question was asked a coupleof times LOL!). We was never turned away and welcomed with excitement and superb professionalism. With that I will like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. My granddaughter Treasure Sermons will never forget this opportunity and the smile that the whole staff put on her face will always be a photo etched in my head and heart
We love SPA! They took my 6yr old daughter right under their wing(s) and taught her a lot! They are patient, professional, and fun! They most certainly helped to boost my daughter's confidence and made sure she was ready for self tapes and auditions! With their help she's been getting through with flying colors! We're so grateful for the experience.
My daughter has been in SPA for some months now and she loves it! She has learned and grown so much. It's been a pleasure for her working along side professional and knowledgable coaches. Joe Lorenzo has been nothing but amazing!
Thank you for giving all these kids the opportunity to shine bright.
I will be honest, this industry felt a bit intimidating, especially as a parent. As a result I unknowingly have resisted fully supporting the deep passion my daughter has for acting (that has not changed in her near 16 years on this earth). We come from a small community in BC Canada, the options feel more limited. Stumbling upon Society Performers feels like finding the most precious gem. At first the option to train and learn from a distance was the gift but so quickly it's been about SO much more. The opportunity and empowerment offered mixed with honesty and guidance truly left us in awe that a program like this actually exists in this industry.
There is a humble confidence, an integrity that is felt from Joe Lorenzo, the owner and his entire team in both their US and Canadian divisions. This was felt through texts, zoom and validated even more after spending a week with them in person. These are really good humans who genuinely care and at the same time are truthful, who lead with their hearts AND have the expertise of decades; decades of learning, relearning, unlearning, decades of showing up, rising again each day, decades of relationships, decades of integrity. And they have chosen to share this with our passionate kids + teens. It's such a big deal.
There were two things that have come up each time we hear agents, casting directors, managers share tips for inspiring actors … 1. Take classes always, keep practicing like an athlete practices for game day. Keep expanding yourself and your craft. 2. This profession is a journey, over years and years with so much to navigate and experience so be sure to enjoy all the pieces, fall in love with all the pieces.
That is what makes Society Performers such a gem. It offers all of this and more. It is a community. A family. A lighthouse, a hug. It offers honesty and also requires work, heart and passion. It offers a safe space to grow with a multitude of classes + coaches and to feel so supported on the journey, there has been no question left unanswered. (The deeper we venture in this industry, the more we realize how huge this support is) One other huge gift is the friendships and genuine group of performers + families in SPA, uplifting and genuine joy for each other. I can't imagine a better team to have on this path for my daughter Emmah and our family too. In the words of Emmah when asked about SPA, 'my world has expanded 1000 times in the best possible way'. What more could we ever want for our children :) So very grateful. 5 star plus.
My daughter and I recently attended the 2022
Nationals in Hollywood California! She has learned
To walk the runway, act, met new friends, met her
Favorite celebrities and got a chance to work with
The AMAZING STAFF of Society Performers! She
Received attention of several agencies that added
Her to their callback list. This program has been
Nothing but amazing and has changed our lives
Tremendously! This is a quality program that I
Recommend for anyone looking to enhance their
Child's creativity and connect with 5 star personnel!
SPA seriously rocks!
If someone were to tell me years ago that 7 agents called me back and were interested in working with me I would have said your insane. But it's the truth and Society Performers did just that. I've only been in the program for about 6 months now and it has completely changed the way I look at myself everyday. Society Performers has the best of the best coaches that teaches you the ropes of this business and it truly is a family there. This whole experience has truly changed my life.
If your wanting acting classes that cost over 2k for online and only 4 mins of training each class with a coach then it's for you! ( you can learn more from YouTube for free) This is nothing but a complete money GRAB! It's so unorganized, you don't know who's class your child is to sign in with, show cases get canceled without notice and your supposed to just wait for a email when it's been rescheduled. (still waiting)
There's times no coach's are online and they give you no instructions on what to do for showcases. The showcase is nothing but a joke. Agents don't even show up to them!, and the one that does (not a real agent btw) tells you to keep taking classes $$ as it doesn't matter how many commercials/movies you do it's the classes that matter on your resume. If you want to get your child into real acting go to Additions! Auditions! Auditions! Don't waste your money on this your child will get nowhere and you'll be broke in know time.
Update to your response:: My son is Braun, I also sent in the billing information to confirm we paid for the second package. There has been multiple classes we have tried to join with no coach, along with no emails letting us know who's class he would be joining each day. No weekly email saying who will be coaching classes for him to join that week. (nothing was sent to spam as I also checked) I've sent emails and txts to John asking what class will we be doing with no reply back. It got to the point my husband had to FaceTime John to ask what it is we should be doing for scripts, monologues, and commercials as there is no instructions at all on what our son should be working on. I had to keep emailing John for our sons last showcase as to what we needed to do to join. The showcase was late over a half hour waiting for a agent and only 1 showed up (9:30pm) just to tell everyone to keep taking classes. My son was ready to do the June 20th showcase but that was canceled without an email. I emailed John then he told me it was canceled stay tuned for another email still waiting. Classes are great for learning but how is it that experience doesn't matter on a resume only classes matter? It's like telling Tom Cruise his movies don't matter on a resume it's the acting classes that do. Tom cruse NEVER took acting classes. What I've learned in the month of having our son enrolled was it was very unorganized and paying over 2k to spend 4 mins with a coach in each class seemed more like a money grab that's my experience! Thanks for your reply back..
SPA is a great academy for young aspiring actors. Experienced coaches who take the time to identify each students talents and bring the best out of them. My daughter is learning, growing as artist and enjoying her classes.
We absolutely love Joe and his staff. Everyone at Society Performers is positive, encouraging and teaches my son how to be his very best and what he needs to do to reach his goals. We are so grateful for all they do!
After auditioning and being accepted into the Society Performers family, we signed our 7 year old up for the "Oscar Program". We knew he loved to perform, and wanted to give him the opportunity to hone his skills and decide if this was definitely something he wanted to pursue. His program required a 1 hour class 5 days a week for 6 weeks, and "homework" between each class so that he would come prepared. We weren't sure what to expect, especially for a kid so young. What we saw was truly incredible. His teachers were patient, yet strict and professional. They did not accept excuses, and pushed him to do the best work he was capable of. The notes from each class were insightful and pointed, and the environment was so professional you almost forgot these were kids. When he completed his program he had improved so much it was remarkable, we were really blown away!
Not only were we able to confirm that he was driven and capable of heading down this path professionally, he left his showcase's with a management contract and has been steadily auditioning for serious roles ever since.
We couldn't be happier with Society Performers and the great work they helped to bring out of our kid! He is thriving while doing exactly what he has always wanted to do. We couldn't have done any of this without Joe and Society Performers!
This Academy is amazing! The powerteam behind this organization is amaIng! My son just started training a month ago and he has already learned so much and has impressed us all. If your child is interested in this industry this is the Academy to attend
Society Performers is THE place to be when you aspire to become a young actor! Their coaches are very experienced and give clear & constructive feedback. Their staff is super responsive & helpul, and Joe Lorenzo is just the BEST - He guides you well and is very kind & respectful. My child is in good hands & after just 3 months with them, he has already booked a movie role! We are SO proud of him, and thankful to SPA - You guys ROCK!
My daughter is 12 and has had the best experience at SPA. From the moment we entered the place, they have been super professional and responsive. They are experts in their field and have helped my daughter tremendously in just a short amount of time. The coaches they have to work with the kids are the best in the industry and Joe Lorenzo himself provides the most outstanding customer service, advice, and expertise there is. We are beyond lucky to have found this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you SPA for all you do!
My daughter had the best time learning from all you Coaches. Would definitely do it all over again! Monthly parent meeting was so informative.
I have been reading reviews and I don't understand how some people are saying this is not a scam! They put out a notice stating they are auditioning kids for XYZ and sell you an amazing story when you get to the audition. They then send an email that night stating the prices of their packages to train your child. The more money you spend, the more agents your child can "meet." This is not an audition this is an academy to train children. The packages start at $1k not including the photo shoot that is required. You are tearing these kids down, not building them up by giving false hopes.
We are very blessed and happy with Joe Lorenzo and all his society performers team A++++++ our son Alexander Maximus loves and has learned so much! His confidence levels way high now. Many call backs. Alexander Maximus keeps working very hard trying to achieve his dreams and Joe is like a family member to us, always helping, caring, I just don't have words to describe how humble he is and puts our concerns, questions, anything upfront. Maximus and Edge Entertainment Management are working together and thank you to Joe and Society performers his dream and passion for what he wants to do and be in the future is right ahead! We love you and we are happy to keep our son learning from all the amazing coaches you have. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope to meet you in person one day soon!
I honestly felt like I wasted money and time putting my child in this. I was skeptical at first about putting my child in it but read nothing but good reviews. Everything is done via zoom and ok i get it it's covid but 1300 dollars later and a month of zoom classes later plus a showcase with "real talent agents" I have nothing to show for it other then a half $#*! review from a talent agent no call backs and no really worthy of me spending any more money. I would say they are real and they do put you infront of talent. But the basics of headshots making a resume and showing us how to do a self tape can all be googled as well as auditions for things can also be googled save your money any real chance of stardom will not cost thousands
I cannot say enough great things about society Performers if you're looking to learn more about getting your kids started in the entertainment industry this is definitely the best way to start hands down! They help train your kids and prepare them to put them in front of talent agents at showcases which is by far the best way to be face to face with talent agents rather than just being amongst hundreds of submissions in their emails. Joe Lorenzo himself is in constant communication with all the parents and very helpful when you have any questions or concerns. Joe Lorenzo and his team are absolutely amazing and we are very grateful for this experience.
I highly recommend Society Performer Academy. We started this journey with our daughter in September knowing little to nothing about the industry. My daughter has always had a passion for acting so my husband and I took a leap of faith and it has been an amazing experience. Joe and his team are phenomenal and extremely professional. From acting class (virtual and in-person), photo shoots and showcases, they've held our hand every step of the way. Kaysen has now become more comfortable with monologues, scripts and commercials.
Her coaches Emily Nelson and Day'nah Cooper are amazing. They both offered different techniques and expertise which has been invaluable in learning different approaches. The criticism is professional and truthful. As a parent I felt comfortable with feedback, it was honest, raw and helpful. They provided a friendly, safe and structured environment. The classes are very fun, helpful and the children and staff wore their mask. I also attended an informational seminar online for parents that are new to the industry, it was very helpful.
Kaysen has received several callbacks from her showcases and Joe has been one call away to help with every step. He has been so engaged in our journey, always accessible, quick response and checks in after each step of the way. If you're serious about this business and really want to see your child blossom into their full potential, I highly recommend SOCIETY PERFORMERS ACADEMY. SPA is amazing.

So since we don’t know your real name. We don’t know who you are. And how to address it with you. We have received no correspondence stating any of the above from anyone. Please email [email protected] so that i can help you with your comments and concerns. Let’s address it: there’s almost never been a moment where kids have shown up to a zoom class and there hasn’t been a coach there. If there has it was a very rare last minute change that needed to be made and was emailed to the client. Again it’s very rare. Based on a tech glitch etc. As well as Sometimes if classes get a little bit larger, the coach will immediately text another coach, and then they split the group. So that kids get more time. As for the Agent showcases. There’s always two on. Always too professional agent/managers on there to watch the kids perform. Never has there ever been a time where kid has shown up to a showcase and we have not had an agent on there. As for giving you advice to stay in class, that’s probably the best advice anybody could give you. And that doesn’t mean you have to stay in class with us. Just means that an actor Hass to keep training. I’ve had clients that are on series. They shoot 22 episodes which is about nine months of the year. And then they go back into a class. Show if you think there’s any actor out there that’s working that learn how to do it via DIY or video on YouTube you are sadly mistaken. I urge you to email me. Joe Lorenzo. The owner. And I will happily address all of the concerns above. However to just go on and lambaste us for this, not even come to us first for any sort of help/ remedy, It’s just not how you do business.
