My computer was running so bad that a site's wouldn't stay up for more than10 seconds, pop-ups like CRAZY. A few days later I got a phone call from " Microsoft " sounding very professional and concerned about my computer.{ they new of the problems I was having} They asked me to access my computer and press the window's and ' R " keys, a box showed up bottom left corner of the screen. In that box they asked me to write? I fore get what it was now. An "Event Viewer " window appeared showing me the problems in my computer. Softwares had expired, windows programs had stopped working and hackers were in my computer, very concerning and scary. They told me that my computer would probity stop working in 5 hours, with the pop-up and the way the computer was running it sounded possible. They asked to access my computer to fix the problems before it crashes, I did, stupid me, the out come they wanted me to buy their software to fix the problems I was having. Then it hit me that was one of the pop-up's causing my problems. I called Microsoft and they said " we would never phone you, we fix any and all problems through a windows update " and yes they have had others call about the same SCAM. I hope this helps anyone.
