Worse company for customers service. Purchase an amplified DS18 speaker and the extended warranty. It did not work so I contacted them for a refund. They decline the refund and will not let me make an online request for an exchange. So my question is if you're not going to stand behind the product you sell why sell it?
They will not return defective merchandise under any circumstances, they only make you pay shipping for another defective item. The ONLY way they will return it is if you don't open the box. I got a dead amp and I installed it the next day and the lights wouldn't even come on. Asked to return yet because I "connected power" i couldn't return even though it was obviously defective.
Company refuses to send me an rma and refund (they tricked me and sent me an rma slip, then I find out another one was being shipped, this was after i told them I DO NOT WANT IT). They will ONLY send me a replacement, which I do not want, its obviously junk. This went on a 300w amp. Sonic, learn from crutch field on Cx support. Last purchase I make with you. Will be sticking to amazon and crutchfield. I spoke to supervisor on phone as well, telling her I was calling my credit card company and writing this review. She did not care. This is a company that does not care.
Not a company of their word. Bought 4 jl audio c5 525x speakers with promo for two 100 dollars gift cards which I haven't received till this day.
I have purchased many products over the years from sonic and I will not be spending another dollar with them. I purchased an amplifier that was defective. I sent an email asking what I should do as the output wattage was about half of what it should be. The customer service rep responded once a day for about 4 days but only asked basic questions. Never introduced themselves, never asked my name or how they could help. After the last email, I woke up today to an automated email from Sonic saying that an RMA was opened for me. Nothing from the rep, no explanation, no conversation with the customer asking what I was looking to accomplish, nothing. I called to speak with someone and the woman told me that I needed to complete the RMA to get a new amplifier. I explained that I already ordered a different amplifier because the current amplifier wasn't performing and I didn't trust that brand anymore. I asked if we could move the RMA over to a refund instead of an exchange. She said she wasn't able to do that because they can't sell it as used. I said, you are willing to send me a brand new amplifier as an exchange, why not just keep that new one as the return? So now, I have an amplifier that doesn't work, I have to pay $18.95 to ship it back to them, so they can send me another amplifier to which I then have to sell to someone locally. (That was her suggestion, that I take the replacement and sell it to someone) Save the headache and don't buy from them. Amazon will let you return with no questions asked.
I order a speaker from them. It took about 5 days to get to me which wasn't bad. But when I considered to return the item I had to pay for shipping and wait for them to do there process of the return. I sent this item early may of 2022. Today it is may 23rd and I called to see where my refund was and was told that there's only two guys that do it and they have been out. Ridiculous! Then she tells me that she will push the return through and I should receive a refund in 3 to 5 days. Exactly what they told me last week. I would not recommend this shop.
Said it was delivered and fed x said it was delivered and never received it now they won't replace it I spent all this money for nothing
I ordered a Rockford Fosgate Stage II for my Harley. The order was placed on 3/22/2022. The web site indicated 2 to 3 weeks for delivery and when speaking to the sales person on the phone (it was a called in sales order) that it was in stock with the manufacture and I should have it within that time frame without a problem. I have checked on their web site for updates and nothing was present indicating delivery. When calling in today I was told it was a special and they take 4 to 8 weeks. If I had been told that on march 22nd I would never have placed the order. I didn't have 8 weeks to wait then and I don't today. My advice find anoter place to purchse whatever it is you are looking for, if you ever want to receive it! Mike in Texas
I was excited that they offered 2 day shipping with a promise to have my package by the 8 of April and after order was complete all of a sudden it said I wouldn't get package till the 11th just like that it was the same as free shipping and waiting the same 5 days and saving the 70 dollars they charged me for 2 day shipping they told me its not there problem that FedEx can't ship it to me by the 8th they didn't care that they advertised i would have it by the 8th not there problem didn't bother to help me.
In the fine print: "Any sign of use - including installation, scratches, or other signs of use such as physical marking, screw holes, or similar. Tags, stickers and other manufacturer labels removed or tampered.
Missing parts or the original product packaging is damaged or tampered. "
Oh, and the approved RA I received, it's invalid. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
They will not refund your money if the parts don't fit, even if they say they will.
Ordered a radio, after more than a week, asked the status. Was told they weren't sure. But they had taken my money. A week later I'm told it is delayed as they have low stock. I ordered one. So I asked to have the order cancelled. Weeks went by. I called and asked again to have it cancelled and was told to expect the refund in 3 to 7 days. Two weeks later still nothing. And they stopped responding to me. Then I contacted my credit card and they are dealing with Sonic. So I can't recommend using this company for anything.
Do NOT waste your time buying anything from this so-called "company". We returned the wrong product that was sent to us, paid the shipping etc. It's been several weeks of us calling and being told all would be rectified. Never received an email(a) NOR refund! Be VERY CAREFUL!
Do not buy from them, they will not provide what they claim to have and them stall to get a refund processed. If the excuse they gave me is true they do not need to be in business anyway. The item I ordered has been waiting for 18 days to ship, the excuse they provided was the system for getting the items is down and they trying to get it back up. That system was able to print a shipping ticket but not get the item. Then its hard to believe they do not have a manual back-up for system issues, they just need to shut down and leave the online sales to better companies. The sad part is I ordered the open box item to ensure it was in stock since it was needed fast, that did not work out as planned.

Update, Sonic told me that since I waited longer than two months to qualify for a free return, I will have to pay shipping to send back my product (two very heavy boxes). However as mentioned earlier, I did not receive the speakers for over a month after I ordered them but the countdown started the day they were ordered.
I am so frustrated. In the beginning of November I ordered two sets of speakers for my daughters truck for a Christmas present. I told him the year of the truck and he told me what I needed and they put them in the mail. They use FedEx and FedEx lost them for a month so my daughter didn't get them till the middle of January. Well they sized the speakers wrong. The reason why I ordered them from sonic was so that I would get the correct size but they were the wrong size. I've already called twice to return them. The first time I was told the return had to be approved. I waited two weeks and never heard back so I called again today. The person that I spoke with was rather rude. She told me that she would send an email with instruction to return them and I would get it today but I never did. Because of this negative experience I've decided to go ahead and take the truck to a professional installer who will put the right speakers in but I can't do that until the speakers are returned and I get my money back. This company seems very unprofessional. Not only do they Not know what speakers I need, but customer service is poor as well.
I like listening to music and I always try to take care of my stereo system in my car. However, recently this stereo system was broken by my buzzed friend, who decided to play tricks with it. I told him that he would pay for the half of the new system because it was broken because of his buzzed actions. He agreed and we faced this service, where we could buy a new stereo system for my car. Fortunately, we found here stereo system which I needed and I ordered it. It was delivered pretty fast and we have already installed it. I believe if my friend wouldn't so buzzed, I would never acquire such a cool system.
I bought 4 speakers a sub and an amp for my son for Christmas from SE. The amp was bad, tried to talk to their tech support but no answer or call back, tried emailing nothing, tried customer service no answer so I ordered another amp from them it worked for 2 days and it broke. Finally got a hold of customer service they told me to send both amps back that was over a week ago and they will not refund my money or send a new amp. Looks like I gotta get a lawyer
I looked for a headunit that has built-in GPS navigation. When I use the filters to show the stereos with built-in GPS, some come up. When I look at the ads for the stereos that interest me, some parts of the ad says it has built-in GPS while the other parts of the SAME ad says navigation uses your phone. Really? Finally found one that says "built-in navigation". I bought two, on two different orders. When both orders arrived, I installed one and upon poweron, I quickly noticed there is NO GPS on the damn thing. I requested an RMA on both orders -- one opened, one completely unopened. They denied BOTH RMAs. What the kind of crap is that? I will never shop there again.
2 months ago, I ordered an amp that was supposed to include an amp installation kit. Paid for next day air but they didn't send order for 3 days even though they had guaranteed it by 7 the next day. They did refund the extra shipping about 15 days after the order delivered but I still have not seen the wiring kit and they have quit responding to emails. TWO MONTHS and I have just written them off at this point. Lesson learned, no more Sonic Electronix.
Answer: Because they don't have it in stock. They are notorious for posting products they aren't authorized dealers for and not keeping an accurate inventory of what they do have leading to them having out of stock items available for sale but they cannot fulfill the order because the company that makes the product doesn't sell to them.
