The site is easy to use, and I got my glasses safety and quickly.
I am so glad I came across their website. I saved over $350 just by buying from them and walking out of the Lenscrafter store. Their stuff is authentic, came in original box as promised. My box shipped from Hong Kong, but there weren't any issues in terms of time or anything. I would highly recommend SBG and am very close to purchase a pair of prescription sunglasses from them soon... their prices are so good, it's irresistible. Their customer service is also very good, emails are promptly replied to. I had a very minor issue which was resolved by a partial refund (although I would've preferred product replacement, ideally).
The prices are very competitive! But the shipping is extremely. I have made three purchases and every time it has taken between 6 - 8 weeks to receive my order.
I was skeptical like most about purchasing prescription glasses online. But after having a bad experience at my local Lenscrafters (I had to tilt my head to see clearly through the glasses they made for me and was told to wear them for a week - it never got better), I decided to try this company out. I went to Americas Best and got my eyes checked again (don't forget to ask for pupillary distance), and then placed my order with SmartBuyGlasses.
In summary, the price for frames and prescription glasses can not be beat. I knocked off one star for the overall time it takes to get the glasses (about a month total). They keep you well informed with tracking emails. I ordered three pairs altogether, and they all came from Hong Kong. Regarding authenticity, they are the real deal. I am happy with my purchase and will order designer glasses from them in the future. The total price was less than half of what it would cost me here in the U.S. (Chicago). If the price was a little less and customer service was better I would continue to patronize businesses here but come on? Gouge me on the lenses and send me home with the wrong prescription? Shame on you Lenscrafters and all the power to SmartBuyGlasses.com.

... very happy with my results... am an optical trained person and have checked out the glasses with Great results... the lenses were perfect, made as thin as possible, the curves helped contribute to these results, the anti reflective coating is of high quality, and the polycarbonate material is wonderful... my initial reason for using Smart Buy was the frame price but when I found out the lens price I was surprised... during the initial order process, a few days later I changed the prescription Without Any Problem. My changes were acknowledged and followed. All standards were followed with respect to quality standards & results were also enclosed with my glasses & cleaning kit. IF there is Any comment to add to improve my service I would have to say that an expected delivery time could have been stated more clearly for people. But I had no problem with that since eyeglasses are manufactured specifically for each individual. Have no fear, your glasses will be made Perfectly & the Price & Value are Superior. And NO, this is an unbiased review, I am in the USA & have No problem answering or responding to any inquiries. I was so happy to find the classic oversized YSL frames I had been looking for at Frames Direct for a fraction of the cost my local optical shop would charge for the frames alone. I have ordered myself a pair and my hubby. It was fast sufficent and had no problems whatsoever. My hubby lost his glasses. So i thought ide vuy him abother pair for his bday and cane in time and again had no problems. Dodnt have to follow up or anything thanx for the good service. Will def keep buying from u :)

I placed an order for two different pairs of Smith Scope ski goggles on Jan 29th. On Feb 3rd, I logged in to check the status of my order which noted that both pairs were "Backordered". I did not receive an email from SmartBuyGlasses to tell me this. I emailed SmartBuyGlasses customer service and they confirmed that the goggles were backordered and wouldn't ship for 1-4 weeks! (Please note that these goggles are STILL listed on their website as a dispatch time of "5-11 working days"!) This is extremely mis-leading. Also after reading from many people that things are shipping from China I wouldn't ever take the risk on their shipping times. I ordered the same goggles from another more trusted website on Feb 4 and received them on Feb 6. Without paying any extra costs in shipping. Now THAT is service. As a frequent online shopper, I expect shipment within 2-5 days and receipt within 5-10 days.
Note that after 3 emails with SmartBuySunglasses (they were trying to get me to buy a different pair of goggles instead of my backordered ones. No thank you), they agreed to refund my money and the refund posted on Feb 7th. WARNING, despite them saying they are US company - there is a Foreign Transaction Charge and this is non-refundable. So at the end of the day I lost my personal time emailing this company back and forth, and lost the $1.18 foreign transaction charge. Thank goodness I ordered elsewhere and have them in time for our ski trip. I will never use SmartBuyGlasses "USA" again.
The only shortcoming they have is shiping time too long. Customer service good. Whenever i sent emails, they replied in a very short time explaining my query. I am overall satisfied and would use site again.
These guys have very sleezy business practices. I ordered a pair of glasses from them and they immediately billed my credit card. Then they told me that my order would be delayed while they waited to get my glasses from their vendor. After waiting 8 weeks, they finally shipped them. When they came, they were the wrong size and they put the prescription in upside down. These were progressive glasses and they put the reader portion on the top of the lenses. When I complained, they told me I had to take them to my optometrist and have them write a letter saying they were incorrect. I told them I was not going to do this and stated I wanted a refund. I sent a total of 11 emails asking for an RMA so I could ship them back and that I wanted a credit. Every time they replied it was a different person who refused to read the original email request so every time I had to restate the issue. They do everything they can to stall giving you your money back! When I finally got an RMA, I sent the glasses back. Once I got the shipping notification they received them, I sent another email telling them they had the glasses and I wanted my money back. There response was that I had to prove they received the glasses back before they would credit me. Even after I did that, it took them over a week and two more emails before they finally gave me my money back.
Avoid these guys like the plaque, they are so sleezy it makes me ill. If I hadn't have lived through this experience, I wouldn't have believed a company could be this bad.

Eyes are precious and irreplaceable, so it is highly recommended to have an eye test at least every 2 years to be sure of your own prescription. There unfortunately isn't a way for us to determine your prescription without the actual details, so please do visit your local eye doctor for assistance with this. From time to time we may receive notification from our suppliers that specific pair / brand takes longer to be delivered. That's usually due to the brand's popularity /exclusivity or limited production line. In such situations we always provide several solutions how to resolve the issue.
If the customer requests to get full refund for the unavailable purchase, we will process transaction within 24 hours from our side; however it usually takes 2-4 working days for the bank to process transaction.
