Been purchasing bread over 5 yrs. This was my 1st delay with my order ever. So that is good with relaying on receiving their supplies to always to be on time.
Bread arrived in a small and neat box packed beautifully. All bread was super fresh and tasty! I wanted it to last longer but it seems evaporating.
Purchasing online was quick and easy. My bread is delicious! I'm so happy to have found this company. It's the only bread I can actually eat! Makes breakfast perfect.
I received our delivery and my daughter and I excitedly opened one loaf of the sourdough and one cinnamon to taste them immediately. The packaging was nice, breads were in tact and not damaged. Loaves were smaller than I expected. We made grilled cheeses with the sourdough, and toasted the raisin bread and ate it with butter, as their site recommends grilling or toasting the breads for best flavor.the sourdough had an interesting flavor being very sour and dense. I have not had bread made of millet flour so maybe it's just something one gets use to. We both developed gluten sensitivities in the last two years and have not been GF our whole lives. Maybe this flavor is better for people who haven't had regular bread? The raisin bread was a little better, but again, we found lacking flavor. It would be better with cinnamon and maybe some sweetness. We but again, maybe it's better for people who haven't had regular bread before. I usually don't write reviews, especially if they are unfavorable, but I just felt compelled to because of the price point of these products. This was a splurge for us and I don't want others to spend this much and be disappointed.
It might just have been Fedex, but the delivery time kept changing. Even within one day the delivery was on its way later thqat day to the next day, and back again.
I love the sourdough toasted. It has a great sourdough flavor and even though it doesn't toast to a crunch, with butter or avo melted on, it's a healthy yummy treat.
I ordered on January 16, 2026.It was shipped on 1/23/2026. By the time it got to the post office after February 3rd, I had traveled. So it took almost 3 weeks to reach my address.
Then it sat in the post office until the 14th. I received it on 2/14/26 and the bread was moist so I threw it out.
This bread is everything I want in bread period, and even better that it's gluten free! My order took a while to get to me, but the bread is absolutely worth it.
I emailed you immediately after receiving my order so I can return it. I'm not happy with my purchase and it says on your website 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Would you kindly send me a return label so that I can send it back?
Bread took a couple weeks to ship out. Loaves are extremely small and the texture is no different than other GF breads that are cheaper.
I appreciated the update regarding the delay due to supply issues. Once I did receive my order, which arrived a week after shipping and took longer than I expected given the contents, I was surprised by the smallness of each loaf and the density. The sourdough was dry and cracked on the bottom. I prefer the cinnamon and raisin but each of the varieties lacks flavor and freshness. Sadly I will not order again. I was really looking forward to an organic gluten free option.
I ordered the bread on January 17th and it did not arrive until February 7th. There were no updates regarding the delay. It took 8 days to get here via USPS. This may be Simple Kneads usual turnaround time, but if it is they should tell their new customers.
I am trying to live to see my youngest grandchild graduate from high school (I will be 95 if I make it) so I am trying to eat as healthily as I can while observing my food intolerances. I was delighted to find this bread that uses ancient grains (even Ethiopian tef!). I especially like the pumpernickel bread with Jarlsberg cheese melted on top. Jarlsberg is supposed to be particularly good for bones. I also like sourdough for sandwiches for when I take road trips. Eating gluten free on the road can be a real struggle. The cinnamon raisin makes a great breakfast bread along with split pea soup and maybe kimchi. It is fun to be adventurous with breakfast and seeing what people eat around the world in the morning (from a grandchild's book) encouraged me on that path.
Pros: Healthy bread & no hybridized wheat gluten-free.Very healthy. No glyphosates
Cons: texture is different takes getting used to. Tastes healthy and bland had to add butter and jam or peanut butter, crumbly falls apart. Cost roughly a dollar per slice. Expensive small loaves.
It took a little bit longer, but I understand it is amazing bread I love it healthy. You don't feel heavy after eating it and there's no additives or preservatives definitely will be getting this.
Unfortunately, this bread was completely inedible. It was like eating sand. The sourdough and raisin were both extremely disappointed. We took one bite of each and were forced to throw it away. I was so excited to find gluten-free bread made without seed oils, but was deeply disappointed overall.
This order was delayed due to supply chain issues. Communication was sent out, which was helpful. Have received order in good condition.
Maybe because I'm new to gluten free, but the bread was too gummy. I toasted it like the instructions said and it was soft and gummy. I tried again and toasted another piece twice, with the same result. I guess I'm just not used to the lack of gluten yet.
It took 21 days for me to receive a shipment after ordering. This is not acceptable and I will not be ordering from Simple Kneads again.
It took a while to receive my quinoa bread, but I really think it was because of the bad weather across the country! Finally received it and had to have a piece immediately and it's really yummy. I have made a grilled cheese sandwich and it turned out great!
Answer: Sure. I bought 4 breads and keep them in the freezer.
