The company's reputation is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and a frustrating return process. Many customers report long wait times and ineffective communication, leading to dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. While some reviews highlight the quality and comfort of the products, these positives are overshadowed by complaints regarding incorrect orders, inadequate support, and hidden fees related to returns. Overall, the sentiment reflects a growing frustration among customers who feel misled and undervalued, prompting them to seek alternatives from competitors known for better service.

SHOES.COM has the most unjust, worst customer service you could possibly receive. Buyer beware! If you buy from them and the shoes don't fit, they charge a restocking fee unless you buy another pair. So I did buy another pair, sent the first pair back, and they have refused to give me my money back! My son wore them for less than an hour to see if they would work and they were too tight. So they say they are "worn". WORST COMPANY EVER! I'm making this public so share it, folks. They are awful!
I needed an item in a rush. Checked Amazon and the other sites but to no avail, the delivery was quoted for Monday. Shopped further to find Shoes.com. When purchasing the product it noted GUARANTEED DELIVERY ON SUNDAY'. Today on Sunday, it says the item is being delivered on Tuesday. I called customer service and even spoke with a supervisor who took the call but took no action besides sending an email to UPS. She did not call or care about my concern. My warning to those who are reading this is to not count on this company's promises. I will refuse the package upon delivery and never use this company again. I told her about the promise and the WRITTEN delivery and she did not have any empathy for my situation. I paid extra to have this delivery only to spend my Sunday writing this review.
I got ripped off at shoes.com would not take back sneakers. The first time I didn't know policy, but the second time I made sure they looked clean. According to many people on this site and the bbb it seems like a common occurrence.
Went online to order shoes and it would not take the card even though all was good but never could finalize sale and they still charged me. Chat said they would reverse the pending charge but would take several days. Will never use them again.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! MY HUSBAND IS BED BOUND AND NEEDED SURGERY IMMEDIATELY. HE NEEDED 9E WIDTH SNEAKERS JUST TO BE ABLE TO STAND FOR APPROX 5 MINUTES IN TOTAL. I PAID THE $20 ADDITIONAL FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING AND INSTEAD THE COMPANY SENT THEM BY GROUND 3-5 DAYS SHIPPING. WHEN I CALLED THEIR RESPONSE WAS "THEY DON'T HAVE A TIME MACHINE TO GO BACK AND CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE". IF I WANTED TO PAY ANOTHER $138 TO GET THEM IN TIME FOR THE SURGERY I COULD DO THAT. ALSO THEY WILL REFUND THE $20 AND I SHOULD GET THAT IN 5 DAYS. ALSO THEY BLAMED UPS (I contacted UPS & they provided written proof it was on the senders end).
THEN THEY BLAMED THE MANUFACTURER. WHEN I REQUESTED WHO I COULD CONTACT THERE, PAUL STATED THAT WAS INTERNAL INFORMATION & HE WOULD PROVIDE THAT. PAUL GAVE ME AN 1-888 NUMBER HE GOOGLED. NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY DIDN'T ANSWER. FIRST AND LAST TIME USING THIS COMPANY. SINCE I NOW HAVE TO BUY THE SNEAKERS ELSEWHERE & RETURN THE MISSING IN ACTION ONES FROM SHOEBUY, THERE IS A RESTOCKING FEE I WILL HAVE TO PAY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
I have ordered from this site several times and did not have an issue until I needed to return several items purchased for my kids for Christmas. Unfortunately I ended up with 4 pairs of shoes that were too small. I went on the website and chose to exchange these items for the correct size. To get a refund for exchanges, you need to purchase the new items first, then return the other items using a label that is sent via email. Once Shoes.com receives the items they will issue a refund. Per their policy "All original packaging should be included. Place the shoes in the original shoe box and ship the shoe box back in a separate shipping box (either the original delivery box or a shipping box with no other exposed labels)". What is not mentioned is that they consider the shoe box part of the product and if you ship back the product using only the shoe box they will not honor the refund because taping the box and putting a shipping label on it is considered a "damaged product". I now have spent hundreds of dollars on shoes that don't fit as well as new shoes thinking I was going to be refunded.
I escalated by concern to two managers over the phone who offered no assistance as well as an email to customer service which was unanswered.
It is unfortunate that the company would rather spend the money to ship these items back to me and lose a customer than to repackage and resell. I suppose it does not matter since they were already paid for 8 pairs of shoes...
Orders size 1 uggs boots models November for a Christmas gift. Arrived and box said size 1. When wrapping dec 19 turns out the contents are size 11! Def knock off or aftermarket as there is a red mark through the tag. No one will return my emails (conveniently no phone number avaialbel) Google shopping said its beyond return period... I just want what I paid for!
This site is most definitely fraudulent. I was naive enough to ignore the 98% of negative reviews for this site and stupidly purchased a pair of "Doc Martens" oxford shoes a few weeks ago. Not only did I not receive an order confirmation email (first red flag), but I didn't receive a shipping email either (second red flag) nor was I able to get a hold of a customer service rep before OR after the item was received.
The nightmare continued when I received an obviously counterfeit, completely fraudulent pair of "Doc Martens" oxfords in the WRONG SIZE and WRONG WIDTH. I own several pairs of DMs and I KNOW what real ones look like, and what I received was most definitely fake -- how disgusting. I should've been wary of the negative reviews but I digress. Anyway, after attempting to call their awful and nonresponsive customer service line and trying to reach out via email, I received absolutely no response, and ended up having to settle the dispute via my bank and I'm still debating on filing a complaint with the BBB. Don't believe the positive reviews -- even if there's a slight chance that you'll receive a real, genuine product, you're working against the odds with this sham of a company.
P.S. Returns are not free, and even if you try to return a pair of shoes, they'll make up a story about how they can't accept shoes that have been "worn", even if you never took them out of the box.
I would rate them a big 0! The shoes look nothing like the pictures and had to get PayPal to get my money back coz they wouldn't let me return coz it was past the 30 days. They do 30 days from the time you order, these shoes come from China so it takes about 3-4 weeks to get them to begin with! DON'T ORDER PERIOD!
My husband ordered my running shoes off this site, after finding an amazing deal. After he placed the order, and the money was immediately debited from our account, he still hadn't received a confirmation email, so began to research the site. Right away we started freaking out after reading all the horrible reviews. We made a call the bank and try to cancel the transaction, as it was after hours for the company and we couldn't get through. Our bank wasn't able to cancel, but told us that if we were unable to cancel the order with the company, or any other problems with the transaction, they would be able to open a dispute for us and get our money back.
The next day my husband was able to get a hold of the company and they sent a confirmation email right away. Still, we had all the reviews we read in the back of our minds, and still weren't too sure how this would turn out for us, but did take a gamble as we did read SOME good reviews. The shoes shipped within a day or 2 of placing the order. I've read other reviews that said the shoes they received were Chinese knock-offs', so I made sure to look up detailed photos of the shoe we ordered to compare when my order arrived, and my order actually shipped from Louisville, KY, so that also calmed our nerves.
The shoes arrived in the original Saucony box, and looked brand new. They are NOT knock offs. Aside from the anxiety from the bad reviews we read about the site/company, we had a VERY GOOD experience. We felt it was necessary to write this review, due to so many bad reviews that we did want to let other potential buyers know that the site is not all bad.
I bought three pairs of shoes. Two pairs did not fit. I never wore the shoes and tried to return them. They would not take back a 60 dollar pair of shoes because I accidently threw out the original box. They said they are not the manufacturer and that they would not be able to return them to the manufacturer. I will not shop with them again but with the original manufacturer. Learned my session.
I Purchased a pair of Ugg boots from cozy boots $254.00. On arrival I noticed the quality wasn't the same as the ones I purchased from Nordstrom. I took them to Abbadabba's local official dealer for Ugg boots. We compared tags and also scanned the tag in the boot I purchased. Nothing came up. When I contacted the owner of cozy boots, which is a home business the person on messenger was rude and blocked me. I've sent them back and contacted by credit card company. The manager gave me a written statement that the boots are a knockoff.
I purchased a shoe online thru PayPal, they charged my bank account twice. They said the first try was to verify the account is correct, but the hell why their charged a second time? I called twice spoke to 2 different girls that sounded like they're in another country, then I asked to speak to a manager the second time who told me he only see one charge. Told me some type of policy crap that didn't make any sense whatsoever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF. DO DON'T IT, THE QUALITY ISN'T EVEN WORTH IT.
I have purchased shoes from shoes.com in the past with no problems. Now, there online ordering is broken and will never come back after submitting mailing and billing information. So, I tried to call the order in and spoke with a gentleman who did not know how to deliver the greeting nor how to ask for the order. After 15 minutes, I gave up trying to place the order.
I called two more times with similar experiences. Meanwhile, my special coupon for 25% off for one day expired! When I finally was able to get someone who could take the order, U was told that the coupon was no longer valid, but that they could give me a discount for 15% instead. When I spoke to a supervisor about what had happened, he called me a liar!
What a scam! Send people coupons that they will not honor and then call them liars!
Just like all other reviews. I wish I would have read these reviews before having these rude disrespectful people ruin my day! Absolutely rude and disrespectful. I will never buy from here again!
I have looked at different shoe sites on line looking for Bernie Mev items and this site advertised a really great price for the shoes I was looking for. I ordered the shoes and was dismayed at the $ 30. Shipping fee and the length of time to ship the item. I must say that I am a Canadian purchaser so I realized that exchange would apply but I was shocked at the exchange rate on the shoes and shipping fee and the outrageous duties that were applied to the order, so my $80.00 shoes ended up costing almost $200.00 with the exchange rate and duties. Shame on me for not looking further into this company. I can only hope these shoes fit as they are a birthday gift for a friend who has long admired my Bernie Mev shoes. Reading some of the reviews I am concerned about the return policies. Buyer beware the company is not on the up and up.
I bought a pair of sturdy Rockport world tour shoes, only wore them 4 times and the bottoms fell off both shoes, only worn inside and never got wet. I called to ask about returning defective shoes and was told that I was 4 days over the 60 day return policy so too bad, no customer service or flexibility. I had been a longtime customer with over a dozen purchases, no more, never buying from them again.
I hate them. I returned my shoes exactly as they shipped them. It took a week for my shoes to get back to warehouse... the worst is that its been two weeks waiting to see my refund... I have called 5 times now. They are hopeless they know nothing! I talked with the supervisor and he was a little annoyed, well Im more annoyed that they have very POOR service and they dont know WHY the warehouse is taking forever! Soooo what do you know shoes.com!? Honestly ITS not worthed!
I informed these folks that the sandals hurt my foot to the point that I had a huge bruise. They were expensive Vionics. Because I did not the sandals send back in the original box, they refused to take them back. I will never buy from these scam artists again.
Ordered a pair of shoes and tried on indoors, sent back for return. Shoes arrived back in main stating the soles were too dirty for resale. Brand news shoes without a scratch on them, if you wore these in a shoe store, Shoes.com would deem them used and non-returnable. Beware. After this experience, interesting glancing through these reviews, seeing how many customers are experiencing similar situations.
Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
