We bought shades from Select Blinds 12 years ago. No problem, then.
A few years ago, we had three encounters with that company. In two instances, they screwed up a few things, indicating that their customer service had worsened.
Recently, we needed to replace some of the old shades we bought 12 years ago. We created a new order using the dimensions from the original order. Two of the shades came about 6" too short. My take was that screw-ups happen, so I took two pictures and, with a few lines of problem description, sent an email to customer service.
I received a response not signed by anyone by name, but that anonymous person requested me to go through a troublesome procedure, including creating an account and taking a video so they could verify that I was not lying.
That anonymous bureaucrat addressed me by my first name. It is a known way of intimidating a person. Calling a stranger by their first name manifests that the unknown customer service individual is the person with the authority, and the customer is like a child. Offended by that patronizing, I rejected it on the principle. They screwed it up; I am an unsatisfied customer and want the product replaced with the one I paid for.
Following that, I received four emails suggesting that I might be lying or could make an error in making measurements. All emails used formally proper phrases but were demeaning in the message. One could easily notice that the anonymous individual who harassed me, instead of addressing the problem, used templates Select Blinds has for handling customers' complaints. As the old saying goes, the fish starts rotting from the head. The anonymous individual who tried to put the burden of their mistake on me was following the directions from the top.
To summarize, our recent three encounters with Select Blinds caused problems that their customer service could not resolve to our satisfaction. On our last purchase, instead of correcting their mistake quickly, they put a lot of time and effort into harassing their long-time customer.
It was our last purchase at Select Blinds. We want their other potential clients to know about our experience before placing the order.
Blinds are great. I made a mistake selecting inside blinds versus outside…so part of my order is useless. The blinds I did measure correctly are great.
I like that the website is user friendly and also liked the samples. The shades came in well labeled and packaged and they were easy to install.
Ordered for a CHRISTMAS PRESENT and was very pleased with the quality and workmanship. They look Beautiful at the windows and provide privacy and allows just the right amount of filtering light
I would suggest that people measuring for their blinds keep in mind that the company makes the blinds half an inch narrower than what you provide as a width. If you have curtains that doesn't matter. If you don't have curtains then there will be a gap large enough for light to come thru between each side of the blind and the window frame. This is not good if you bought black out blinds.
Otherwise, we like the blinds.
Made installation difficult—glad I ordered blinds 1-2 inches longer.
I called customer support to notify them the shades looked like they had been used. Sent pictures of the defects and they said they would check with QC and follow up with a resolution the next day. I NEVER heard back from them. Super dissatisfied with the product and lack of follow thru.

I'm a repeat customer. It continues to be an easy process and highly recommend it.
I ordered my blinds in the wrong size. Customer Service was so helpful and took care of my problem with kindness.
Order took a lot long to receive than expected. But came and fit perfectly!
Easy to get samples. Fabrication and shipping was quick. Two of three blinds ordered were delivered with issues that make them unusable. The weights on the cell blinds are sheared to one side leaving the blinds crooked when open - simply unusable. Spoke with customer service twice with no help offered - told it was likely a shipping issue. Spoke with warranty staff member who provided a video for me to fix myself - this was not effective.

Second time I buy with this compagnie. Very nice 5 custom blinds of which two very large ones, easy to install. They came fast, well packaged and I benefited from great savings. Very happy with the products and the services

The blinds rollup mechanism is lame on some or snapps too fast. No latch to pull them down. The stand off the wall despite having selected the ones that should go along the walls. The wallmounts stand off.

Easy instructions, nice selection - would with for more colors though, but very fast and selfexplanatory webpage.
Pretty fast shipping for custom blinds. I would say the quality isn't quite as good as similar ones from Lowes. It's a little tough to pull down and push up.
Answer: Semi scam. They do not honor 3 yr warranty. My claim, 6418454 was literally IGNORED with non response.
Answer: They won't accept returns. I ordered shades, which the pictures from their website clear show have a hidden bracket in the same color as the shade. We got bright white brackets that curl around the front of the shade and will be very visible to everyone in the room. They will look like a cheap knockoff.
Answer: I ordered on line from Home Depot. Better quality that Select's private label brand and quick delivery. I received perfect quality shades in 8 days. Select kept delaying and was up to 3 months delivery and counting when I finally was able to cancel.
