My a/c broke. A scheduled tech came out two weeks ago and said they would replace my unit. Since then, two unscheduled techs have come out. One said they would replace the unit and a second one said they would repair it. I can't get anyone to verify anything on the phone. I have two fans in my work from home office and it is 93 degrees, my bedroom is 95 degrees. It's very uncomfortable with no end in sight. I've paid Sears for the warranty for twenty years. When I need them they failed miserably. Save money, frustration and hour plus wait times on the phone. Find a different vendor... Update Sears called an hour after I left this review and said I should have a new unit soon. I will update the review when I have new information... They did not deliver a new unit, they did not fix the old unit. Sears scheduled appointments on June 7th and June 8th. I took off two days from work. No one called, no one came. There is no record of anything. Definitely do not use them as a vendor. I don't know what will happen next. It seems that I will go through the entire month of June with no a/c,

They were booked through CCHS home warranty service and they never showed up nor did they contact me instead they lied about having the correct phone number; recontacted CCHS who confirmed that my phone number was correct. Sears wouldn't RS and they told me they didn't have anything available. CSR is rude and nasty

Sis
May 25, 2022

My Kitchen Aide freezer and refrigerator is down since January 2022 which is covered under sears maintenance warranty.
Every time I call tp schedule a tech to repair the unit has been a 4 week wait before a technician will arrive.
Incorrect parts are ordered and delivered to my home and again wait for another 4 weeks or so.
This is the worst service one would ever receive from any servicing company?
My family had been without a working freezer/ cooler for almost 6 months and no sign as when it will be repaired.
Please I will never ever purchase sears maintenance agreements and do not recommend anyone to do so.
It is nothing but waste of money and time?

Terrible service
May 18, 2022

Hard to contact. Give out inaccurate information in chat. No response at all from their help email addresses. We sent many follow up emails. Terrible customer service. Won't use them again. The only good part was the service techs were polite.

I've waited 2.5 weeks for them to look at fridge. NO SHOW! Now it's going to be 3 weeks until my new appointment and they didn't even bother to call me, just a new email. No one else will touch a Sears product, so no choice. 6 weeks without a fridge. Who knows how long to fix it after that. Warranty will expire before they finally do something. Worst repair service ever, probably one of the reasons there is no Sears anymore!

Beware of the warranty racket and high rates. Tech came out, had the part on truck repaired refrig in less than an hour. Charge was >$400 dollars unless you sign up for warranty at $50 month, then $248. Warranty covers all appliances in home so I signed up. There was a problem with their system accepting my check so I had to give them a debit card- they don't take AMX. Fortunately there ended up being a routing number problem so they don't have access for other charges. Later in week the repair part arrives in the mail. The return past number did not work. Many phone numbers/calls later I never get an answer as to what to do with this part and was I charged for it. I will continue to pursue this and make sure the warranty is cancelled, although I will be charged the higher rate. I found the part on line for $5.00- so anyway you look at it the charges are ridiculous. Pleased with repair, all else is price gouging and deceptive practice, as they don't mention warrant or price difference until you are stuck.

TERRIBLE SERVICE GUYS and INEPT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AVOID AT ALL COST.
I am a friend of Elaine Valois (93 yrs old) here on Kauai. After the 3rd missed appointment for repair of her gas range I offered to check it out and repair it for her. What I found was shocking and disturbing.
The service guys committed fraud replacing parts that weren't bad, which failed to fix the problem and they put things back together wrong with wires not in the right places/pinched, failed to put the mounting screws back in the drip pan (just setting it in and leaving it) and then took or lost the mounting screws... then later they wanted to replace the same parts again when called back! They ordered the same parts to be shipped to her house and then missed 3 appointments scheduled to install them. This has been 2 years of not having the gas range fixed... smelling of gas and working off and on, very unsafe. The problem was an igniter that was going bad.
Then trying to contact Sears on the phone was a nightmare and they didn't even know what to do about it when after FOREVER on hold they couldn't help because they didn't have a fraud prevention unit! Service order #s: *******, **************, etc, Sears home services via A&E Repair.
AVOID THESE PEOPLE!

Had service for ice maker. Told cost of new ice maker was$600. I question the amt and was told they are this expense. Once they left I found the service appraisal the next day. The part was $210. Service charge was $450. Took less than 10 min to replace broken ice maker. I feel lied to and scammed. Sears good name is totally being abused. Untrustworthy service! Do not use service for repairs.

When I made the initial call I was told my equipment was under mfg. Warranty, when the repair man came he claimed the refrigerator was not under warranty, said it's $1200. 00 - when I called to complain I was told they would send a "Senior" repair tech out for a second inspection.
Worst customer service - worst ever! They tell you it's covered then get you when they come out - bait and switch!
STAY AWAY!
I will never ever buy another Kenmore product! Shame on you Sears!

The tech was here all of 10 minutes and charged me $146.08. There were no parts used and the only labor was a few knocks of a hammer. I have never been this violated before!

My washing machine not working since November 2021. A 3rd party company -Peninsula Appliance Repair (Ph# 650-363- 2334) who represent SEARS to service it.
Replace the parts 2 occassion but still not able to fix it. Poor & untrained technician who doesn't know to fix a washing machine.
Until now, April 2022 called SEARS for replacement since under agreement & contract that if the washing machine cannot be repair SEARS will replace it.
Talked to customer service and every person will give a different version & stories.
SEARS are good only to collect our money but failed to comply their commitment to have a happy & satisfied customer.
Everytime will do our washing to a laundromat we have to spend $90. We have to do it 2-3 times per month. From Nov to April we already spend a lot of money because we are fools believing the false promise.
Avoid to have a business with SEARS or any company under SEARS company & Peninsula Appliance.
Today, decide to buy a new washing machine.

Stay away- Just 1 big scam all around!
April 20, 2022

Had my local guy come out, he was able to figure out that it was the main mother board. Said it was not available. Wife called Sears since it was a kenmore range. They said they had part (they even transferred her to the part guy who also said they had it) she made appointment. Earliest was in 2 weeks, they canceled it and we made another appointment a week later. We asked about part again and they confirmed it will be on truck when tech came out. They canceled again but could come a few days later, again we asked about part they confirmed they had it. Tech came and before I would let him in I asked about part. Guess what it was not on truck! He said they had it in stock and said he had to check range first. So I let him in, he showed me part and that I had to pay for everything ahead of time and part would be sent to me. Then a tiny empty envelope. Called was transferred to 3 different people and was told that it was coming in another package l, took over 50 minutes to find this out. Waited a week, called back again talked with 3 different people again and finally asked to talk to supervisor, was transferred 3 more times. Was told they would n get back to me within 24- 48 hours (was in phone again for over an hour). Never got a call back! Called again asked to talk with supervisor and went through the same multiple transfers and again was told someone would call me back in the same 24 to 48 hours. I refused and wanted confirmation that they actually had part. Waited on hold and finally got confirmation that they do not and is it is no longer available. I was told I would get full refund, they did not, charged me for service call. Oh I was on the phone for over 1 & 1/2 hours. I would like to note that almost everyone I talked to, really pushed for their major rip off home appliances warranty, even the repair guy. $50 a month and only get 40% off on their rip off repair pricing. This whole process took over a month and a half to find out the part no longer existed, ordered a new stove and guess what back ordered for over a month!

Repairman came to home of 93 year ood because she was having trouble with stackable dryer. The repairman cleaned it out...$199.00. The customer asked him about sound in the washer. He opened the door of washer and jingled simething that made the noise and said it was on it's "last legs" and would cost over $1000 to fix. This little bit of requested help cost another $199.00. Shame on you, Sears, the for this $400 bill. NEVER again will I use Sears repair.

Abysmal company
April 8, 2022

My landlord has a Sears Home Warranty contract, with repairs handled by Sears Home Services. The following is based on two repair experiences, once on a washer and once on a dryer. (1) Extremely difficult to get hold of a live person on the phone (2) When I do reach a live person, they promise to help but cannot (3) I scheduled an appointment, but Sears rescheduled outside of the time window without my approval to times when I was not home. (4) The service itself seems to be jobbed out to local service companies.

This "service" is living off the brand reputation of Sears from the old days when it was a solid company.

Absolutely awful company. We have a 5 year warranty on our washing machine, that was purchased a few years ago. When we finally needed to use the warranty that we purchased the following happened: March 2. Came and diagnosed washer with oil leak underneath (washer still useable) March 13. Came with new part but realized he needed to take middle part out and could not get it out so told me he is going to order the middle part. (Washer still worked) March 22 came with middle part, broke out the middle piece and could not get bolt off. Then told me he was going to put in for a new washer (washer don't work now cause he busted out the middle piece) called sears and they said they will send me a voucher for 50$ for laundry mat! (Never seen it to this day) So called March 23 to see status and told me that I have to wait 48 hours to hear from them. So the same day called the technician that was at my house Sean was his name and he told me to call his office which I did *******966 and talk to Kiersten. She said she put the claim in right away. March 24-26 called sears and got told had to wait 3-7 days. Again waiting. March 28 called Kiersten and got told the claim is getting put in right now (which it was supposed to be put in on the 23). She said wait 3-7 days. Wait again?! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, this warranty is not worth the money and the company as well. I ended up purchasing a brand new washing machine, because I have a family of 7and needed to do laundry, from Lowes. I would never recommend Sears, they do not live up to their word.

I've been trying to fix washing machine since 1/6/22 and it's 3/24/22 and it's still not fixed. I waited weeks for a part to be delivered, then technician discovered two more parts that needed to be replaced, so I'm back at beginning. Customer service is friendly but overall incompetent. Standard to replace is so restrictive you will never get a replacement. Stay away you're better off without them. The hassle and stress is totally unacceptable.

Integrity ZERO!
March 8, 2022

Ordered parts for a microwave. Set appointment window 8-5. Took the day off, tech couldn't make all of his calls so scheduled for the following week after I took the whole day off.

Next appointment a week later 8-5 window, took the whole day off, van backed in neighbors driveway across the street at 2:40, left to get my daughter at school 2 miles away at 3:15. He watched me walk to my truck. I was back in 15 minutes. While gone, no call, no text, just a picture of my door and said no one home.

This company or this tech sucks.
This is clearly not a one time incident.
