I installed a dometic refrigeration system that did not cool. Calling salt services (authorized service center) was a big mistake. After 2 no call no shows they finally arrived with much prompting. The first thing I was told was I was going to be billed regardless of if it were a warranty issue. The oaf of repairman put a couple ounces of freon in and surmised it was an installation error and would be expensive. With a little research the issue pointed at a plugged cap tube which can happen quite easily if a piece of copper or anything flakes off and plugs the tiny orifice. I called Dometic corporate and they were great. Kudos to dometic. They immediately sent out a whole new unit because salt had overcharged the system. In short
Salt services is not an honest or reliable business and i wouldne recommend them to anybody. Dometic on the other hand deserves 5 stars. I told them about my experience with salt and they said thats not how their reps are supposed to do business and would investigate.
