Rooms To Go Sells Cheap furniture and offer a warranty on the furniture they sell. The company they use, is worse than the furniture they sell. You call Guardian and it is like pulling teeth to get someone to answer, once Guardian answer, they put you through all kinds of hoops, to put in a claim. They said they will call back, and no one calls back, we will have to initiate the call again. Once the claim is approved by Guardian, then we have to fight with Rooms To Go, to find out if Guardian approve or disapprove. My wife has an email from Guardian that states, they will call within 5 business days on December 9, on replacing a table, and we are still waiting for that call. Rooms To Go use that warranty company, that offer terrible services and there is no recourse taken. Instead of Rooms To Go taking the lead and try to be a liaison between customer and the warranty company, they continue sending us back, acting like it's nothing they can do. Rooms to Go use Guardian for their customers but allow Guardian to bring down their reputation. The warranty company is not concern about the customer, but it is about the bottom line. If Guardian cannot perform the service that cause them to be in business, then they need to stop offering the service!

Bought our sectional a little over a year ago. One of the arms has broken for a SECOND time, the first being shortly after we purchased it. A tech came out and repaired it but now that it's broken again we are told it may not be covered anymore bc after a year it's not longer covered by RTG warranty but a 3rd party. We also have a small tear in one of the cushion covers and were told that's not covered at all! What a joke! The salesman assured us we would not be working with a 3rd party but failed to mention that was only for one year. I'm afraid we are now stuck with a broken sectional with a tear that will only get worse and it isn't even 2 years old

I purchased the Cindy Crawford Home Westover Hills Brown 5 Pc Rectangle Dining Room Set; the furniture is fantastic, well-built quality. However, what is important to note is that the chairs have no pre-stained protection agent. With that being said, I would not purchase the furniture protection by Guardian because their policy is supposed to cover incidents that can cause stains to the fabric. Still, they will send out a cleaner who will make minimal effort to clean your furniture, and depending on the significance of the incident, in my case, an incident that covered all the chairs, they will ask for a photo and deny it the claim. In the end, we had to buy all new chairs. The accidental coverage warranty is a waste of money!

Insurance protection
September 30, 2021

I've tried several months to initiate a claim for my purchase. The insurance company that Rooms to go uses are unprofessional and have not answered several emails that's have been sent. I uploaded pictures of the damage item as they requested, but NO response.

Melbourne FL location: 1st I was brought the wrong ottman. I had to schedule another pick up and delivery to receive the correct ottman. Now the delivery time for the couch has been moved 4 hours out! No phone call--just a text message. I called the store and was told rescheduled again and the delivery will be the last one of the day at 9 pm! Unacceptable customer service. Waited 6 weeks for the couch and now waiting again. I was told nothing could be done--Manager is supposed to call me back. Will be the last time we shop at rooms to go. I guess my bedroom sets will be making another furniture store very happy...

One star is for sales person at store, once you bought the furniture, the delivery& installation etc are very pathetic, handled unprofessionally.
Never buy WARRANTY! They don't keep up their word.
We feel cheated, we bought our first home furniture and now stuck!
Rooms to go should have never done this!

Rooms to go does not back their warranty. Never buy anything with electrical units.
My couch electrical unit caught on fire and burned my couch.
They are refusing to replace due to their faulty electrical components.
Thank God my house didnt catch on fire and all I have left is a couch with a burn mark.
Dont buy their products!

Still waiting...
February 13, 2021

We purchased a queen bedroom set and mattresses from Rooms to Go in November as my daughter's Christmas present. (She had been sleeping in her convertible crib!) We made full payment at the time of purchase. We were told the mattresses, bed, and nightstand would be delivered about two weeks later and that the dresser and mirror would be delivered in early March. At that point, I was very hesitant to order something that would take five months to deliver, but my daughter really wanted the set. The bed, nightstand, and the box springs were delivered on time. The "in stock" mattresses were not in stock when the delivery was made and came a few weeks later. The bedframe had a slight defect, so the store indicated that it would be replaced when we received the dresser and mirror. A week or so ago I got a call from the Rooms to Go warehouse that our dresser and mirror would not be delivered until June 4th. We are supposed to be returning on vacation on that day, so I need to call and reschedule. Who knows if the headboard will be replaced. I called and spoke to our salesperson. She said we could return what we have and select something else, but nothing similar is in stock. So, we paid $3k for furniture that hasn't been received, and customer service that is almost impossible to reach. At this point, I want to demand a refund and start over, but my thirteen year old daughter loves the miserable bedroom set. We would go look for another set at the store, but we are expecting a historic ice storm in Houston. What I want is a refund for what I haven't received until we actually receive the furniture. It is completely unacceptable to pay for something that will not be delivered as promised. We paid in November. We are going to receive this furniture EIGHT MONTHS LATER at best! I have noticed that the company's ads have started saying that delivery may be 2-4 months out. Buyer beware. Delivery is probably going to take much, much longer than that.

Received a two-piece sectional set from RTG in Feb. 2020 - by March 2020 it had runs on nearly every cushion. Sent photos of the damage to Customer Service per their policy and they never even attempted to contact me and follow-up. Had to sit on the phone for hours over multiple days/calls just to get a real person on the phone and thought it was finally being dealt with when they agreed to send a technician to assess and take more photos. The technician arrives on Jan. 19, takes the photos and tells me the damage is definitely covered under my one-year warranty. Literally told me, "the good thing is, RTG has to do something because this isn't on you" and says I'll get a call in 3-5 business days with next steps.

Cut to the Maury Povich meme: "The lie detector test determined that was a lie."

No one ever called me back. So of course, I wasted another few hours of my life on hold trying to get ahold of Customer Service. Even had my mom calling them to see who would get through first, which happened to be her. And LO AND BEHOLD! They decided to go against the word of their technician and tried to blame the whole thing on me. Lied and said they HAD called (y'all know damn well you didn't!) then offered to send out another technician for a second opinion (why, so you can ignore his assessment too?) It truly seems like they are actively trying to screw me over.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE. Save yourself the time and money and just go to IKEA.

Dresser with mirror
November 18, 2020

Lied about delivery date of dresser and mirror. Purchased headboard and frame and was told verbally that the dresser and mirror will be delivered the following week would be that tuesday. Never received a verification that it would be delivered. Since it was not confirmed that it is being delivered we canceled the order to be refunded for the dresser and mirror. We confirmed verbally that the order would be delivered that tuesday not December 15 2020..

Purchased a motion sofa and recliner on May 27,2020 - this set was advertised in the Memorial Day flyer. Almost $3000 for both pieces, and set for a Sept delivery. I paid a cash deposit of over $300 while my credit went through - I had frozen my credit and needed to release it. Got it all squared away June 2. Was advised on June 6 that between the purchase on May 27 and the credit finalized, it has been discontinued. In reading all the other reviews, looks like this is a blessing in disguise. Horrible way to do business. Waste of time but I can still shop elsewhere.

If I could give them 0 star I would. The problem is not only this location but also the customer service. When you go buy anything they tell you they cover damages when actually the DO NOT. I do have a sectional that's cost me over 2k and one of the recliners is defect. They don't want to cover it because I moved! PLEASE READ THIS SO IT WONT HAPPEN TO YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO ME: ONCE YOU MOVE FROM HOUSES THEY VOID YOUR WARRANTY! BE VERY CAREFUL! Now I have here a sectional and a kids bed that they do not want to do anything about. AVOID THIS PLACE, ANY LOCATION. Bcse the customer service is horrible!

I bought a living room set and was not informed about the delivery date. I had to reach out to them and they mentioned that it has been scheduled already and not even informed me of the date. They said that their website says it when I placed the order but the website and confirmation email gave a 12-day window. Their CS went around and around about they have communicated and this is how their process works and if I want to reschedule, it will be another weeks away (I already waited 1.5 months since I placed the order). Bottomline, you have to bow down to their delivery date and time unless you are willing to wait another month or so. Take note, I paid the delivery service.

I bought 6 leather dining from them in 2010. Since they were for our formal dining room which we use only a few times a year, the tearing and cracking we saw were not from the usual wear and tear from use. Of the 6 chairs, 3 are in very good condition, but the other 3 shows cracks and tear at different locations on each chair. I took them to the store manager, and since the warranty was for one year, he could not do anything. But he suggested I send pictures and details to *******@roomstogo.com I followed his suggestion and sent the pictures of the damage. All I got was a note saying that the chairs were out of warranty. I at least expected them to contact the manufacturer and see what they would do since the damages on the 3 chairs were from improper manufacturing and materials.

If all Rooms To Go is going to do is consider the warranty date, then they don't need this special web-site for appeals.

I recommend buying your furniture at Kane's which has a life-time warranty and has been cooperative on my purchases there.

Bought over $2300. 00 of furniture. Scheduled delivery for 1st day, a week later. They called a few days out said it would be between 9am & 1pm. Day of delivery at 9:10am they called said they are running late, now between 11am & 3pm. 3:15 I left for my trip. At 4:50pm they called and said their driver finally called in and had 2 more deliveries before mine, probably around 6:30 ot a little later. They showed up and were pissed at me that I wasn't home. Had to wait 2 days before I could call and reschedule delivery and then they said it would be 8 days before they could get back out to me, and no time frame, I had to be home during their delivery hours of 8am to 9pm. I got a full refund and will never walk into a RoomsToGo ever again.
