Literally tried everything to find two roommates: Facebook, College Site, Craigslist, Couchsurfer, word of mouth, and nothing worked to find the roommate I was looking for (young woman about my same age). Two weeks on Roomies and I have two amazing roommates!
I paid 30$ on this site to get my property posted. I waisted my money after a week or so and didn't get any offer at all. Sone one lied about me and the support sucks team banned my account. It's so so frustrating and waste of time. Be careful guys this crap will take your money abd waste your time. I emailed the support team to get my account back and still never heard from them.
Was given 8 days to find a place to stay with my large sized dog and i stumbled upon roomies just in time! I'm a 19 year old female and I called every single homeless and violence shelter in the state and not one would take me. The system is awful. I was at a loss and was convinced i'd have to throw away all my belongings and just walk down the street with my dog hoping for a blessing. I have roomies to thank for me not being on the street with my dog. This is an amazing place to go if you need help with rent or need a place to stay. 10/10 recommend
Roomies is an awesome alternative to Craigslist and NextDoor.
While I did not find a renter through Roomies.com, it was a good find and I enjoyed the people and conversations that I had with potential renters.
Seemed like I had to reach out more often to invite looks at my ad than I had enquiries which was surprising. But I enjoyed the experience and chatting with interviewers. Thank you. I will keep Roomies in mind for the future.

I have found two great roommates using Roomies. It was easy to create a listing and find compatible and like-minded people to share the space.
Overall, I highly recommend the platform.
The set-up - structure of the website is excellent. The function of it could be greatly enhanced by the Site Mgr. Conducting a timely removal of people's ads for a room that have been up there for over 2-months. Required Identity Verification is a plus. Aside from that, great job.!

Listed and found a roommate in about 2 weeks. Got a short stay of 2 months. The experience was quite painless and the roommate is a pleasure to talk to.
Roomies.com is a legitimate source for finding housemates. There are others with similar names that cost money and you're never able to connect with others until you actually pay. Roomies.com is free and is my best source over the years to connect my place with quality housemates.

Due to life's circumstances a longtime roomie left to move on to another life with a partner. Shortly thereafter another longtime roomie passed, I was devastated. I placed ads on several sites which were free to use without requiring you to pay extra! I placed the ad on Roomies and found 2 new roommates here! Sparks flew and we knew! Its truly been a good situation for all concerned! Personalities have blended well and everyone truly likes the others! It's a great environment! Thanks Roomies! Great site!
Other roommate websites claim to be free but you cant message other users without paying so its effectively useless. This website is great, I got a lot of traffic for my ad and found a roommate in a few weeks after talking to about 15 people. I had a much better experience here than with roommates.com.
I have had wonderful experiences finding tenants. I highly recommend this website! I have had several tenants found here and all have been excellent.

Roomies is a great site to find roommates because of it's diversity and quality of people who use the site
The site may be fine, but be diligent with who you rent from in here. The lady I drove 2000 miles to move in with, didn't own the property, she leases it. She didn't want the owner to know. Just make sure you're dealing with an owner, not a tenant
