The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding product reliability and customer service. Customers frequently express dissatisfaction with the performance of devices, citing issues such as poor video quality and connectivity problems. Additionally, the customer service experience is notably negative, with many reviewers reporting long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and inadequate support for troubleshooting. While some users appreciate the initial functionality of the products, the recurring themes of frustration and disappointment suggest a pressing need for the company to enhance both product quality and customer service responsiveness to improve overall customer satisfaction.

I regret buying our Ring door bell camera and chime unit. It constantly drops out, often doesn't work even as a door bell and the battery life is very poor (less than 1 week between charges). I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
My stickup camera could not be charged anymore, so I called customer service to notify them of this problem and was told not to worry, that they would send me a new replacement camera at no charge to me.
Shortly after, I received an email notifying me that this replacement was ordered and then a second email telling me that it had been shipped with the tracking number and other details.
So I waited, expecting a delivery within the timeframe they showed which was 7-10 business days. After waiting longer, approximately 15-20 days, I called them and after they kept me on hold for nearly 1 hour, they finally said that it might take a little longer for the delivery.
I was quite upset at that information, but as there was nothing I could do about it, I just calmed down and continued to wait.
Then, after a little over 1 month, I get an email from them telling me that the warranty had expired and that they wouldn't be sending the replacement after all.
This is the type of service you get from Ring.
I only now just read the reviews on this company and I see that nearly all of the many reviews give the same 1 star rating that I'm giving them.
If 0 rating were a possibility, that would be my rating.

If you are thinking about Ring, DO NOT DO IT! The customer service is TERRIBLE! I had to call 5 times and never talked to anyone who could understand a simple question. My device has been hardwired for 3 years and now doesn't have a live feed. Still records activity all day, doorbell rings, everything other than the live feed.
I talked to 5 agents and it literally sounded like I was calling a nightclub, there was people screaming and laughing in the background, there's no possible way the agent could even hear my issue, and they didn't really care to try.
If you have a problem, just go to YouTube or Google because the support number is absolutely USELESS!
Had an unidentified person and 2nd person driving a vehicle that approached our front door. I went to answer the door and they walked away immediately. I walked down the driveway and the driver backed down the driveway after seeing me approach. Definitely either a porch pirate (steals packages) or was checking to see if anyone was home and if the house was occupied. My wife tried to post the ring video of the person on the Ring website, but Ring said they would not post the video because it went against their company policy of not wanting to offend anyone and make false accusations. There is a reason why crime is at an all time high and these woke companies are making it worse.
Since installing their prototype, it's had a number of Boy Scouts on Bob a job stopped by police, a number of people who wanted to ask for directions arrested on suspicion of some invented crime that was never going to happen, even my own friends calling for a coffee were identified as intruders and spoken to by police and now it's lost me all my friends, thanks a bunch ring.com
I bought my ring for peace of mind while we were in Florida, but the device is driving me crazy. Constant false alarms, buzz buzz, there is someone at your door. This happens day and night, maybe ten or more times a day. Never a picture or video and when I check history there is nobody.
Rang ring 3 times no help whatsoever, the first lady said she couldn't help me and the last guy said he would check something and call back in a few minutes, still waiting two days later
The new Ring Doorbell cam doesn't even work. Not with WiFi repeaters, not with voodoo spells, not with rituals involving rubber chickens... NOT. AT. ALL. I have never owned such a worthless POS in my life. The company should be sued for fraud and forced to pay back all of it's customers!
Absolutely no helpful and honest customer service. See all poor reviews. System is slow and not fit for purpose. Should not be on market. It is slowly getting worse. I would not be shocked if it eventually stops operating. Keep away from this below standard company. Images attached are common issues. Slow or no loading
Had a major issue today and needed to retrieve the video/can't because their is a major issue with people being able to log into their accounts. The service is constantly down, you go to view something just to find out that it is not available because of one issue after another.: Purchased a $20.00 cameras for indoors, it is cheaper a month and I do not have issues with retrieving footage. My husband paid over $100 for this Ring Doorbell. DO NOT PURCHASE
I bought the Ring Floodlight camera. The camera actually worked well. It was the only ring device i had so service was only 30 per year. The siren is a joke, it is practically a silent alarm. And the communications were awful. I actually could overlook those two things as i liked the camera functions. HOWEVER, the floodlights broke within 2 years leaving me with a pointless device. I've now read countless accounts of the same thing happening to others. My neighbor's ring doorbell broke in 2 years also. I won't be buying any more Ring products.
Okay, so you have probably seem reviews online and have an idea of the picture and sound quality. Sound is not great, picture quality is okay. It's functional. However, RIng offers "theft protection" (i. E. replacement of stolen devices), but that's not really covered in any detail in any reviews, and here's why: you don't know how worthless it is until you've actually had a theft. Here's the terrible news:
If your Ring devices have been stolen, Ring requires a police report in order to process your replacement. So you get your police report and start to complete a form online. That form will require the serial number from each device. Did you record the serial numbers when you bought them? Most people will not. In this case, you lose. You will not get the device replacements.
Additionally, let's say you registered the devices on your account, but you removed them (say, for tenants to use). Then you get the devices back. They will ask the tenants to release the devices from their accounts. If they don't, you lose again. You cannot use the system because you essentially gave ownership to the tenants. Yes, if you registered the devices on your account, Ring should know the serial numbers already, but they refuse to use that data. They want the data FROM YOU. You must be the provider of the data. It really feels like a scam in order to make it extremely hard to file for theft protection.
I flushed like $500 down the drain. My next security system will not be a Ring. They need to get their act together.
Dont buy that trash!
By the time the thing finished loading all your stuff will have been stole and sold on the streets!
Pure waste of money! -100 stars!
Absolutely 100% peice of trash!
The alarm gos off ring don't notify anyone they charged for protection plan when there junk go bad but won't honor it if you want security get at or someone who is honest rung is neither honest or reliable
Placed an order online, that same day they deducted the amount from my credit card and weeks later I'm getting daily emails saying it hasn't shipped yet, but the emails don't say when it will ship or how to cancel the order. I called the bank to dispute the charge 2 weeks ago, and still getting the annoying emails. Earlier today I called Ring customer service and the rep kept telling me the order would ship in 3 to 5 weeks, and I kept saying I had already found the item at a store and bought it so I don't need it to ship, I need to cancel it and stop the daily annoying emails. When he finally understood I just wanted to cancel the order, he kept me on hold for 15 minutes so he could process the cancellation. I asked for an email confirming the cancellation and so far I have not received it. I hope I don't get another "your order hasn't shipped yet" email again tomorrow!
I was trying to access my account and they kept asking me to contact Amazon in order for them to give me access to the account. 4 hour later, the issue was not resolved. I would recommend NOT buying Ring products from amazon or Ring.
I followed all instructions to setup and register ring account. Initially I got access from phone ok then all of a sudden I can't access doorbell and it wants me to login again. But now my password no longer works! Have to go thru setup again and now have to go thru several so-called verification steps. I ended up with about 6 emails and 2 text messages plus another half hour of wasted time before I could get in! Worst f---ing software I've ever seen.
So, I'm trying to watch a YouTube video and your AD popped up 7 times! And the video was only 20 mins long... Just as something cool was about to happen in the video, Your AD would start! Are you serious?!?!?!?!?!?! Why? Get a life Ring! No one wants your camera! Anyone could just knock that camera off the wall with a hammer! Ha Ha Ha Ha. Waste of money for something so easy that could be broken or taken..
I have already given Ring doorbells a bad review for very poor performance and charging customers extra to turn on security functions of their doorbell which they ought to own. The notifications kept stopping, so that I was not aware of battery use level, kept defaulting to not working, had to be charged too frequently, took a very long time to charge, and worst of all, always fails to work in very cold weather. Having suffered enough aggravation from Ring, I came up with the perfect solution to all the many exasperating technical problems. It's very easy. Take a screwdriver. Unscrew the Ring doorbell. Take the components, put them in the bin and buy a different brand of doorbell. May Ring never ring in my home again.
After sending back a faulty spotlight cam, Ring agreed to a refund. My bank never received the money. Ring refused to help. They got their camera back, and I'm out $179. There was no way the bank nor I could talk to a human at that company for help. Never buy this product from their website. Their support for refunds is a train wreck.
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
