The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived censorship and biased moderation practices. Many users express frustration over account management issues, such as difficulties in deleting accounts and unjust bans, which contribute to a sense of being silenced. While some appreciate the platform's diverse content and sense of community, the overwhelming sentiment is one of disillusionment with the site's environment, described as toxic and unwelcoming. This dichotomy highlights a pressing need for improved moderation transparency and user support to enhance the overall user experience.

This site is nothing more than a platform for toxic people, who do nothing but abuse people. The mods are horrible and Reddit support is a joke. The sub-reddits are filled with nothing but hateful snowflakes, abusive jerks, and creepy pedophiles. The support groups are anything but supportive and the advice groups are nothing more than amateurs trying to act important. Avoid this Site like the Plague if you value your sanity.
Don't let your kids on here!
This is an online forum to ask questions. I found it hard to use. Things that should be simple are complicated. You are given a limited time to have your question open. After a time, Reddit will close your question and no more answers will be accepted. This is a very stupid policy. I asked one question about Star Wars two years ago and no one answered even though it indicated that it had views.
Mostly people posts asinine jokes that are very dated and I get tired of reading them. You may use this if you have a burning question that is popular, otherwise I recommend that you try your luck somewhere more reliable.
The most common use for this site is the IAmA for professionals or celebrities who have a unique experience and offer a chance for people to ask them anything. Example: I Am A movie star, Ask me Anything.
I need to add that this site discriminates users if your opinions do not agree with their unenlightened administrators. Find a better forum for asking questions. Yahoo Answers was much better and will get immediate responses to any question.
FINAL COMMENT: Reddit does not believe in the freedom of speech, the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. They are unAmerican because they do not believe in these ideals. Reddit administrators harass their users when they censor them. I have firsthand experience in this. They are the perfect candidate for a for a class-action lawsuit.
Reddit is another bad site that has alot of cyber bullying going on and when you report it to them they ban you from the site and subreddits. People should be aware of this and keep our kids and teens safe and off Reddit. There's too many cyber bullies on their and the law and Reddit ain't doing nothing about it we must stand up against this
This is another site that is confusing to me. When browsing the site it reminds me kind of like a not a blog but a community communication site. I cannot remember what they are called. But anyway I was actually blocked form one group for what reason I am not sure and I could not find out why.
The best website to find detailed humified information about literally anything, from cars and sports to rocket science. The community is also amazing.
It used to be a fairly good place to engage in discussion but the power of being able to silence others got to them and now it's just a meeting place for far left screamers to go and shout their outrage at everybody else. Any dissenting views quickly get censored and silenced. A platform for people who hate, so long as you hate the "right" people.
Try this for yourself: Post the simple phrase "I like Trump.", whether you do or not, and see how fast you get attacked, abused and banned. Three words. It doesn't matter where your views lie nobody of any political or moral standpoint or view should ever give any credence to a platform that so quickly and brutally jumps on you for not simply repeating their own mantra.
The admins are pretty hardcore left-wingers, and endorse subreddits that harass and attack people the admins don't like.
They ban braincels for inciting hatred and violence while they literally just post funny memes while IncelTears bullies men and they can stay.
I was banned from a page by r/verdammt without even being able to defend my post. I told them the ban was typical, so they answered back and then muted me. I found this 'person's' page and sent them a message further explaining my post, and my account was suspened for harassment. On top of that, I could not reply to the suspension or appeal to admins. Freakin pathetic! I honestly wasn't liking it anyway.
I was banned after being in for a month. Not only was the moderator rude and nasty, but l was told that he/she did not have to tell me a reason. I was shocked at the level of rudeness. This site could not be monitored professionally.
My account was suspended for vote manipulation because I upvoted the issue impacting my VPN service (on their VPN subreddit) when I was on that VPN. I appealed the decision because it was obviously an error on their part but the site mods ignored and kept it in place. The site mods hide behind a veil of anonymity and have no accountability on the site. They are not trained or knowledgeable and do not give any response as to why they permitted the full length of the ban. They do not care about the end users but do care about censoring for their sponsors and owners (Tencent chinese conglomerate).
The sports steams sucks. They never work. They lag. And constantly load. I ended up just getting cable. Reddit you're trash
Recently joined Reddit because it advertises itself to be a space where freedom of expression and diverse views and opinions are represented unlike the other social media platforms. Incredibly, intelligent and thoughtful comments (if not positive and critical, yet in good taste) are immediately sent to a bad karma vote list. Meanwhile, I have commonly seen pornographic (literally) comments heralded as positive Karma. I just don't get it. Just like FB, IG and to a lesser extent Twitter, Reddit is only concerned with Likes and nothing too thoughtful or realistic. The ultimate in Low Brow Social Media.
So I just put a negative review of Mercari on reddit under the Mercari conversations. So I was banned. I guess only positive reviews are accepted which is why their rating on that site is high. I used no names or inappropriate wording, I only told my story and now I'm banned from adding anything to the conversation. So ridiculous!
I had my account banned from the site while I was arguing with a racist and trying to challenge his racist/antisemite views. 4 comments or so into the argument, my reddit account is suddenly banned with no explanation or prior warning given. I had not violated any rules or written anything disrespectful, so I suspect that an admin banned my account just because they didn't like what I had to say. The nazi guy was not banned and his account had been on there for quite some time posting racist BS everywhere, so that's acceptable, but apparently disagreeing with a nazi is not.
I had an account for 9 days, made a few replys, and then on my 1st post I was attacked as a creepy conservative, yet that personal attack isn't against the rules, likely due to how the 10 yr user phrased it. As other reviews have stated this site is really just become crap. It is not worth the expenditure of energy to type a post or reply.
Don't waste your time use MeWe instead.
Used to like the site but then people would downvote you before any open conversation can be made about your comment. It's a stupid feature.
Goodbye Reddit.
Tidbits and snippets of chatter in a community of diverse and eclectic minds. A taste of literary curry, olive oil, garlic, ginger, paprika, cheese, sprinkled over a barbecue of discussions and mustard topics. Truly a feast for the open mind.
Want to place ads on Reddit website? Good luck with that. It is not only that ads have no conversion at all, it is even worse: they deliver some ads, show me a total of 18 Dollar used for ad placements, but keep charging me with 20 bucks week by week. They just take my money. For nothing. Support responds? Zero. Or a useless link to a support page with no relevant content. There are some other reviews about their advertising system, one was a real professional test with 250 Dollars spend, and ads submitted by very experienced online advertisers. Result: ZERO leads. No idea how they are even possible to show (or to pretend to show) ads some 10thousand times without getting just a single lead?
After however many years of dealing with the far right cesspool that is The Donald, reddit finally said enough.
Despite the fact that the users can still use the site, and that numerous other conservative and right leaning subs exist, the whining children of that sub rushed here to tell everyone how horribly left-leaning the site is because they *eventually* don't truck with open threats and racism.
I'd give fives stars but reddit really should have done it sooner. Still, seeing everyone crying that they don't get to suckle Daddy Trump's button mushroom in full view of the rest of the site has made it worth it.
Probably one star if you hate people who aren't American by birth, or if you didn't know or can't handle the notion that the 1st Amendment applies to the government, not private enterprise.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
