Horrendous website, non-existent freedom of speech, you're only allowed to discuss the way they want you to, heavy censorship inducted by the cuckolding gestapo subreddit moderators, they outright delete and ban any posts and anyone they personally don't like, or any speeches that go against their agenda. I've never seen one moderator that behave sensibly on this site, you're not even allowed to message them or challenge them in any regard. In many popular subs, the opinions are controlled with bots that massly upvote/downvote posts in order to fabricate popular opinion. Reddit is the combination of everything wrong of the internet nowadays, any smart person should boycott this site and block this domain for appearing from your browser, we cannot allow reddit to monopolize internet forums.

Reddit is another big tech first amendment abuser. Run by leftists they will ban anyone speaking what they judge as hate speech. Hate speech is defined as opposing their narrative as they define it. Feels like NAZI Germany... avoid unless you do not want open discussion

I was on Reddit Wall Street Bets and a few other sub stacks…thought it was a place for interesting discussions and debate…NOPE…if you disagree or give an opposing opinion to the liberal millennials who overwhelm Reddit you are banned from commenting for time periods…they operate Reddit like the Chinese and Russians operate their own news feeds…if it doesn't conform to the narrative they are pushing…then you are censored or banned…THIS is the NEW AMERICA…don't disagree with what the New Democratic Party is pushing or their brown shirts will get you

Reddit is a liberal hate speech site. It is Stormfront for liberals. Their main demographic is hateful and unintelligent soyboys whose entire "social life" revolves around using this site all day and amassing millions of karma points instead of accomplishing things in real life. It is extremely racist and sexist. They ban innocent subs for fake reasons yet will not shut down hateful, violent, and pornographic subs that are against their ToS. There is also heavy censorship and many biased powermods control almost every main sub. The front page is complete radical leftist propaganda (most likely upvoted by bots) and they will remove and censor anything they want. Popular subs that don't actually violate their rules will be banned for wrongthink. The main users are a mix of the unintelligent hivemind (who will attack and downvote you for using actual logic) and bots. They even subscribe you to propaganda subs by default so it makes it look like they have more subscribers and so they can purposely push their content on you and try to brainwash you. The main purpose of this site, in fact, is to attempt to brainwash the more impressionable segment of the millennial and zoomer demographics with hateful liberal propaganda and double standards. Don't fall for it.

This site is horrible, it is addictive and ruins happiness. Get rid of it! It is full of people so horrible since they think they are smart but wasted their lives. I am trying to stop my addiction, but the few useful subs keep bringing me back!

Just saw a bunch of people openly promoting and defending herpes carrier to date normal girls, saying as long as there's no outbreak, it's fine to conduct sexual intercourse. This is the most f'd up thing I've seen in a while.

I was warned that stating that I didn't understand could you please elaborate in my words was inappropriate. I tried to reply as if it were communist China communication. For whatever reason I was still blocked with an error message stating something went wrong... this platform has gone from bad to worse in the worst way. I can't even say "I would like to view this article, do you happen to have the source?" Hmmm... reddit is no longer reputable in my book.

I signed up for reddit to get some answers about some internet issues I was having and they removed my post. Then a few days later I posted a question in "cars" asking about labor rates at dealerships (did NOT mention the dealership or location in post) because I thought I was overcharged and they immediately removed the review. What in thee hell is wrong with this site? I closed my account after fighting to find how to do so on their site. Ugh! Go somewhere else if you want answers.

Extremely rude moderators in some subreddits. Remove posts for no real reasons other than the mod disagrees with your view. Horrid liberal ethos that permeates almost every post/comment on the site.

Reddit is very difficult to use, and the moderators are rude and not helpful.

I just opened a Reddit account and attempted to post an opinion contrary to those on Wall Street bets. I was immediately informed that I was a bot and my post would not be allowed. They are apparently opposed to freedom of speech and have no place in their website for alternative opinions. Wasn't Facebook punished for blocking accounts for people in support of soon to be impeached Ex-President Chump?

African Americans and all others that value equality, fairness and inclusion should never visit Pine Orchard liquors in Ellicott City Maryland. Prior to this encounter, I was a regular customer because of the store's close proximity to my office and home. I stopped in on 1/29/21 to shop for a bottle of bourbon. The owner, Ms. Sun was extremely rude and racists when she told me that I could not touch the bottles to read the label because of the COVID pandemic. While I totally understand taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, there were a store full of white customers touching bottles and nothing was said to them. At all. She also went so far as to direct me out of the store. I took her advice and I strongly recommend others to do the same. It was a horrible experience that I wish no one else has to live through. Shame on you Ms. Sun.

They are paid by companies to promote only positive feedback. They also steal data from user as well. I'm glad to deactivate the account ASAP.

I will start off with what made me decide to post in R/rateme then eventually in R/truerateme.
My photo was getting used on yahoo answers. The poster would post questions with it like "why is she so ugly " and "is this a man" and answerers would reply nasty things regarding my make up, saying I did look like a man and all these awful things that crushed my self esteem.

I in the meantime had a reddit account for a while, I saw how constructive a lot of people seemed there. So a few days ago I checked out the rate me sub. Posted my photos according to the rules. Got no responses back. Then I discovered R/truerateme. I read the comments under a few other females posts, they seemed pretty fair.

So I posted a few of my perceived best photos in there. First post I was scrutinised for not using angles that most others were using, having a bit of make up on (which they made seem like a lot and said it was poorly applied).

So after I had a shower that night in my time, I wore more natural make up (ditched the Smokey eyes I usually sport for the night), I took a front view photo which probably wasn't the best I could've done but at this point I was so stressed and upset it wasn't gonna look good. But I figured it wouldn't matter as they claimed to just analyse the features of your face. And no I didn't expect a big rate I knew they had rigid standards so realistically I expected a 5-7/10.

Instead I got 2 ratings of a 2/10 and a 3/10. People telling me I wasn't my age just because the photo made me look older than usual. And others reverting back to what the Y! A people had to say, I look like a man.

Not only has my self esteem being completely crushed but I now have no drive to do anything because I feel hideous and undeserving to continue life.

Get read for detention camps to those who are too much of a 'threat' to this existing regime. Reddit is going to be the new Youth Group style snitching going on and anything said wrong will earn you a trip to the slammer and donate their body organs. The web has followed along with that model. All the 'filtered' comments are/have bee precursors to the uniparty. We don't have a 'vote' and haven't had once since Bush vs Clinton in the 90s.

Update 2025: I have tried to be generous and give Reddit a chance. I believe in several chances. However, Reddit deserves its bad reputation. So much censorship, so many bad subreddits with disturbing content that enforce harmful views, so many immature and unfriendly users, power tripping moderators who won't fix these issues, way too much disgusting adult content, and racist and sexist comments. I don't know why I ever wasted my time on this bad place. Save yourself time and use other sites or just go outside and live your life.

I tried to post on one of the threads. It was immediately deleted by the moderators because I used the word violent and said I was talking about something that happened several years ago. So long reddit.

Their moderators are absolute self-important morons. You try to help out someone with a problem they've posted, spend time composing a detailed response intended to be helpful and current, and it gets discarded by one of their bots - something having to do with "karma" and account aging. If you complain, some bozo moderator responds with blather about no one making you participate. Clowns. How clueless do you actually have to be to spend time trying to help people there, let alone even think of contributing MONEY to these idiots? 'Used to be a worthwhile website, but everything changes I guess.
