Susan T provided me with excellent customer service! She was very patient and listened to my issues then clarified how things would be resolved!
The doctor lacked empathy, compassion. Prematurely ended session and would not listen to full complaint.
Give it 2 stars simply because movie opinions are fine but the fact that it says you get a free movie when signing up is BS plus customer service sucks! Said he couldn't even find my account after I have already rented movies off the website and got up more points and all for nothing
Update: I've noticed the dishonesty in this company as they delete your Google Play reviews, save their image and not their customer.
The original concern:The customer care team could use a lot of work. When reaching out to their *******@redbox.com email, the team doesn't acknowledge your inquiry. I waited two weeks for a response and have attempted a 2nd email and at this point nothing. It shouldn't take 2 emails and an app review to receive a response. I would rather spend my money somewhere else at this point.
Come on redbox we have done business for 20 years! Stop acting like suddenly I'm going to beat you outta $4.00! It took an hour of you bs to rent a movie off our account
Overcharge you when a movie is supposed to be free. The charges are extremely confusing. Then when you call to fix it, you can't hardly understand what customer service rep is saying.
They will charge your card without you knowing so please watch! They charged my card 100.00 $#*!ing dollars, I'll never sue them again
I rented red box for 3 days, they said I kept it more and dipped into my account for 8.25 when I was suppose to be charged 6.75 total instead of 10.50. Rent from here with a card you barely use.
While you can rent online on demand or at the kiosk, the code they gave me when I signed up doesn't work. Additionally, the kiosks touch screen is so dirty most places, you can't get the cursor to move and you won't want to touch it without gloves. The rental prices are good but the kiosks are treacherous. You can see the thick layer of grease and fingerprints all over the screen. It's unsanitary. Made me not want to take anything home anyway, who knows how sanitary the discs and cases are. When I tried to rent using my code online instead, I just get error messages. Ended up using another rental service.
I am a registered nurse and rented the movie Red Rocket out the Comedy section of red box. I have traveled for many years for work, and I work in the ER and ICU. I have seen a lot in my 45 years. This movie was pornographic and promoted underage sex as well as the exploitation of young girls and women. I find it disturbing that red box is promoting an adult film with this content and will do my best get the message out. There are enough horrible things in this world, and you contributing to the demise of not only families and children by allowing this to infiltrate our homes, but the demise of this country who needs positive encouraging programing and support to enhance moral and ethical behavior in todays world. From one front line worker, woman, parent, child, sibling, and partner, and woman of faith, I request that this movie be taken out and that Red Box clean up its act and monitor more closely, as well as think about the effects of the content of these movies to our family unit, and country. -Thank you, Kimberly V. RN
I returned a movie and the Redbox machine offered "$1 off your next rental" which I immediately agreed to use. After swiping my credit card to pay for my next rental the Redbox seemed to hang up for about 3-5 minutes and would not respond to pressing any buttons, etc. The machine finally came back with a message that the "discount code has already been used", which I thought was related to the hung-up machine somehow making an error. I felt that Redbox Customer Service would correct the mistake so I went ahead and reentered my credit card and got charged the full amount, no discount. When I later called Customer Service the Rep told me that this was a "legitimate charge" and refused to credit the discount. I told him there was NO INDICATION that the code had already been used when I initially went ahead with the rental and that it appeared to be a machine error. I told him the whole thing was a scam. IT IS A SCAM. Redbox should refund the full amount of the rental.
We recently added Redbox to stream movies. There is no way to add parental controls to prevent rated R and worse movies from being viewed. I was watching a fictional movie about a serial killer and one of the characters showed up at a guy's house, stripped down and her entire naked frontal side was visible even though she was slightly standing in a dark corner of a room. Before that, I had watched 2 other movies that dropped the F bomb multiple times. I'm fine if grown adults want to watch these type of movies but I'd like to have the option to block that type of junk from my t.v.
Also, in the middle of streaming, the volume changed a lot, at one point I had to have the t.v. On 18 volume to hear the movie and then the ads would blast loudly when they came on
A Redbox gift card is a gift of aggravation and frustration. After you navigate their upside down web site, and are finally able to rent with your gift card credit, be advised, it can only be used for kiosk rentals. It is not accepted for On-Demand rentals or purchases.
I got a gift card for Redbox and because I live in the year 2022 I don't own a DVD player but I cannot use the gift card to rent a movie online. I even called Redbox assuming that there was some way to use the gift card online and was informed that their gift cards only work on Kiosks. What year is this really? This gift card is a piece of garbage!
This company was ok in the early days but they must have lost to much money with there crappie production that they cut budget on support. You call you get a call center in Asia who knows where but the quality of reps is absolutely sub par. You sign up for promos and then you have to call over and over to get those perks they promise you. Just getting worse. Another thing is that kiosks are disappearing from stores left and right, specially Ralphs locations. Interesting what will happen if Kroeger purchases Albertson if there rest will disappear 2.
Red Box is a rip off! I received a Gift Card and went to use it for streaming and the the gift card would not work, called the customer service and they said that gift cards are only for the kiosks and not for streaming since I already added it to my account they are not able to refund it to the person that bought it for me. I will never use the gift card because I do not own a dvd or blue ray. I asked if there was any would they could put a credit on my account and take the gift card away. They said they would give me 2 promo codes for streaming. The promo codes are for $2.00 each not even enough for 1 streaming movie and the kicker is you can only use 1 promo code per movie can't even use them together. Will be renting from paramount plus or prime. Will not use Redbox again and will not recommend
Never again will I go through Redbox call them to tell them two of their kiosks are down at Winn-Dixie and 7-Eleven not wanting to drive all over the place to return three movies I'll call and they basically tell me they're still going to charge me was a waste of time to even call. A very scamming business to my opinion!
Got ripped off! Trying to buy a movie sign up whatever and I guess you $#*!s don't want money!
It is highly unfair to think that every rental from one of Redbox's Kiosks will be perfect. The vast majority of ours have been. However, the last one (rented from one Kiosk, and returned to another. 5 miles away next morning like we have done in the past) did not get registered as a return. A few weeks later we received a notification in the mail that we had an over $30 charge for the non returned rental. My wife was the primary renter for this movie, and she & I both called in to talk to Customer Service separately. Neither of us could provide the near impossible amount of information for Redbox to look into the mistake. We were told that they COULD look into this return, but would NOT since we couldn't satisfy to their standards that we were the actual renters (We did provide CC information, Redbox subscriber information, All tracking/ID information from the invoice they sent us). Again, I can handle issues popping up with services like this. I am just highly disappointed at the almost obvious steps Redbox corporate has taken to keep from having to solve their mistakes. Our family is now part of an ever growing list of people that are severing all ties with this corporation. Too bad Redbox has not learned the lessons of Blockbuster and Hollywood Video.
You spend over $2 for one night of a movie and then it barely even runs. It's probably on my end (crappy USB blu-ray player), but you'd think they could manage to get working DVDs?
I do like the deals, though.
