I had a bad experience after a visit to a practitioner. I tried to write review on ratemds.com to share my experience and it got taken down the next day. I tried it three times and the same thing happened. It appears to me that ratemds charges medical practitioners to allow them to manage their own reviews. Do not trust. It is totally a scam.
WLIA is more than amazing to work with. They are so prepared to answer every question and made me feel so comfortable with my decision to move forward with Gastric Sleeve surgery. My surgery was Nov. 13,2015 performed by Dr. Michael Orris. He did an outstanding job. I've had to call his team at WLIA several times with questions the week following surgery and they were so kind and helpful. Knowing now what I know I would do it over and over again. I highly recommend WLIA."
Not only do Doctors write their own reviews on this website but if they are Plastic Surgeons they pay a fee to get bad reviews taken down. I tried to write a review for a cosmetic surgeon who botched up his work on me and it never got posted even though I tried multiple times. Then later when I tried again I kept getting the message 'someone from your location has already posted a review' even though my review was never posted. Do not trust ratemds especially not for plastic surgeons.
Doctors write their own reviews on this site. Apart from that RateMDs sells packages to bad doctors which allows them to remove bad reviews. Scam!
AS SOON AS A DOCTOR GETS A NEGATIVE REVIEW, THEY WANT TO SELL YOU A PLAN FOR 200 DOLLARS PER MONTH TO REMOVE IT!
SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME!
SOMEONE SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS FRAUD COMPANY!
This is a site encouraging and allowing people to post whatever they want, true or not and never verified. Most of all in their very own Youtube video offering help for their website the second part of the video tells you all about their very own doctor marketing and physician online reputation management firm for medical practices. Sounds the same as a business selling new tires spreading glass all over the roads!
They don't respond to inquiries and they refuse to provide an address or phone number where they can be contacted.
The Rate MD website allows fraudulent anonymous posters (who are not real patients) to submit comments that are lies. They don't always require posters to sign in, so there is no way of knowing whether or not the poster is a real patient. There is no accountability. The poster could be a competing doctor. They also try to hide. They don't respond to inquiries and they refuse to provide an address or phone number where they can be contacted.
Discovered a fictitious regarding our office encouraging other patients to visit another practitioner. When we sent an e-mail to "ratemds.com" requesting removal of this fake review, they edited out the practitioner's name and left the negative, false review. "Ratemds.com" will not return ANY telephone messages. It is disgraceful that anonymous, false reviews are allowed to be posted without retribution; plus they alter the review to suit their site.
RateMDs.com is a terrible and dishonest site, it does not verify anyone whom writes a review. Anyone can write a review about any doctor they wish to whether they were a client or not. I think the site should be shut down. It is a very big scam ruining people's careers.
I rated healthgrades.com. I encourage all to read all reviews regarding this website. My personal review of that website was not very favorable. However I would like to submit a review regarding the website rate mds.com.
Ratemds.com seems to be a trustworthy website that reflects the TRUE opinion of patients and their experiences with certain doctors. Before submitting a survey you must sign an agreement to provide the truth and are held accountable for any false statements. This is a good thing because it deters fraudulent writers from submitting false information out of vindictiveness. Ratemds.com posted my review as written and has not deleted a review that I submitted around the same time that I posted a review on HealthGrades.com. Once again, I encourage EVERYONE to read ALL reviews on THIS website regarding HealthGrades.com. Patient ratings regarding physicians and healthcare facilities is free show in that it may save someone's life. HealthGrades Ma.com does not hold individuals liable for what they write. Therefore, you are more likely to obtain a true reflection of the doctor being rated. I personally give ratemds.com a THUMBS UP. Those with nothing to hide have no problem posting a review on ratemds.com. This is what consumers need because someone could have a life threatening illness and end up selecting terrible physicians to oversee their care.
IN A NUTSHELL, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE WEBSITE "RATEMDS.COM" TO provide truthful and accurate information.
Answer: Yes, it is true. They don't actually even have to pay--they can just send an email and ask. And thy can review themselves because no one needs to validate who they are or set up an account.
