Quora Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of Quora appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction about the platform's moderation policies and perceived bias in content removal. Many users reported experiences of censorship, particularly regarding political views, leading to frustrations over a lack of open dialogue. Despite these concerns, some users still appreciate Quora for its diverse range of topics and the opportunity to engage with a global audience. However, the prevalence of scams and low-quality content has raised significant concerns about the platform's integrity and reliability, suggesting a need for improved moderation and user support.

I enjoy spending time on Quora but there are too many trolls, especially China trolls. Honestly, the Quora editors are either not able to control this or they are controlled by China. It is very sad. So many good writers have left. Soon it will be a ghetto site if they are not careful. Very biased site.

Definitely not a good site at the time of this writing, and seems like it hasn't been that way since long. If people are coming here to seek knowledge, buyers beware, I don't think you'll get much of that. Some trivias and insights here and there but you'll get lost in the sea of garbage pretty quick. I think Quora doesn't realize that its value directly comes from quality of contributors, so if you don't even get that right the site is doomed to fail. Or maybe they just don't care. *shrugs*

Anyway, if people are here to seek entertainment, you're up to a good start. Reading through some obnoxious twats writing these long theses on issues no one cares about could be funny for a minute or two, but word of warning you might want to do that near a loo because there is a chance you'll puke your breakfast out on the third minute or fourth.

It's also entertaining to see folks worshiping the BNBR rule like it's a real deal. Don't people realize BNBR rule is complete and utter bollocks? It's just a different way of saying political correctness. I could think of your typical scummy Euro politician who will easily went through that filter without even trying. Let that sink in for a moment. This makes the site completely worthless as a reliable source of information. When some facts and knowledge can be deemed not nice or not respectful when they're in fact just facts, it defeats the whole purpose of the site. It's utter rubbish.

Quora has Moderators that are supposed to control content i. E. no hate speech, no insults, limiting curse words, etc. In practice, those who are Conservative or Republicans have questions and answers deleted on a routine basis. In just one day, I had 23 answers collapsed, some of those answers had been posted for over a year. I suspect someone(s) didn't like what they saw, so they reported my comments and Quora collapsed them. My appeals were rejected by the moderators. I had 62 comments collapsed in the month of October 2019, some of those had been seen by over 47,000 people and had been posted for over 1 1/2 years. No matter to the moderators, they collapsed them all.

Currently, I have been blocked from commenting on Quora, with no explanation.

I suspect it is a question I posted in Quora that asked,"Democrats: How fair of an FBI interview do you think Mike Flynn got when before the meeting a FBI agent said," "What's our goal? Truth/Admission or get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?"

It seems the Liberals and Democrats didn't like that question one bit. I was immediately blocked from commenting, without any reason given. At quora, Democrats and Liberals are all in favor of free speech until they see or hear something they don't like

I never used this app, but they keep sending me spam, even if I "unsubscribe" on their page. I am thanking Google for letting me block Quora's emails.

People said the site has left-leaning biased but since I'm not into politics I can't comment on that. What I can tell you Quora is indeed a terribly biased website when it comes to handling disputes. The moderation is so terrible, I am not even sure you can call it that. I've read somewhere the moderation in Quora is like empowered trolling and honestly I don't think I can argue with that because it is true. You can do no wrong and get the shorter end of the moderation stick and someone who's clearly abusive towards you can get away with bullying you or other users and doxxing their profile to ruin it for them and receive totally no punishment.

Bullying, doxxing and witch hunting is very common but since the site hide some stats like downvotes, it might be difficult to tell if that's being done at all if you are a new comer. But it's not hard to see that vibe if you use the site regularly. I think they could do well if they use new upvote/downvote system like the one Reddit has instead of what they have now. But I don't think they will ever do it and I definitely know why. Doing so will spell disaster to the site's overall credibility because then everyone can see the irregularities being hidden all these times.

It is clear that in Quora they have a policy that applies or not depending on whether the subject bothers or not to Quora's personal agenda, which says a lot about the lack of democracy of this social network. The best thing you can do is block Quora in search engine results with plugins such as uBlacklist or others.

Quora is a good idea and some aspects of it are fun and informative. But the Moderation is brutal, broken, arbitrary, unresponsive, misguided and nonsensical. After using the site for months, I had a good following and about 650,000 views on my content. Then one day I got edit-blocked because Quora said I had multiple accounts which was wrong. I appealed and they apologized and restored my privileges. A week later, same thing, edit-blocked for having two accounts. I wrote again an appeal and asked them what was going on. They banned me for life. No explanation, no option, just bye-bye! You can't sign into your account, can't message any of the friends you've made goodbye. It's like this weird medieval excommunication. They don't care, there is no one to write or speak to, just a form response listing the possible things that get you banned and that you must have done one of them.

Reading other reviews here, you can see that hundreds of other people have experienced the same thing.

My advice? Reddit. Or any other site because if you invest in Quora, there's a pretty good chance you'll find yourself in the same situation.

Very bad site to try and have a nice discussion about anything, Very FAR LEFT LIBERAL site, not open to having a sharing of views, I have been kicked off three times now, if i made a statement and it was wrong, i would thank the person for correcting me and move on, i would also say god bless, I would suggest this site need to be inspected by the attorney General as it is not a free speech site. DO NOT USE!

The moderators don't know the meaning of the word. They must all be atheist liberals. They harass Christians (some moderators more than others, and some Christians more than others) and have deleted hundreds of my posts. Then they gave me a warning about possibly being banned because I'm repeatedly violating policies. I ask you, What policy could the example in the photo below possibly have violated? It doesn't. It's just straight-up harassment from godless tyrannical moderators. -- Biblical truth with Scripture citations, Biblical archaeological photographic evidence (i. E. Noah's Ark on the top of Mt. Ararat in Turkey with Genesis 8:4 Scripture citation), video evidence, etc. also violates their "be nice be respectful" policy, because nicely and respectfully proving to someone that they're wrong is "offensive" and violates their BNBR policy. Scripture that does not approve of cults, homosexuality, the occult, etc. will certainly be deleted. On the other hand, cults have free reign (i. E. JWs for example). Atheists have free reign. Satanists have free reign. Islam has free reign to lie their butts off. Quora truly deserves to go broke. And then they have the audacity to use your posts on the internet without your knowledge or permission as an example of how great Quora is as a source of information. -- If you're not a liberal, you won't be on there for long. For 3 fabulous years of ministry, they collapsed a ton of my answers (which still allows people to view them). For about a week, they would blur my posts and post a "warning" that clicking on it would reveal "sensitive content" (it was the Gospel!). Then they began to delete them, one after the other, relentlessly. They finally figured out how to rid themselves of the problem of me once and for all: It's called "blocked."

Edit: Went back quite a few months later, and I was able to post. I was a on real roll, praise God. No complaints, no problems. It only took about two weeks until they blocked my account again - without warning this time - and once again for baloney, worse than the first time. They have no idea if that's my name or not. They have never seen my identification, and they never will. I must have pissed the devil off fierce! Pats myself on shoulder, praise God. Good job! (View the photos starting from the far right.)

I have posted on Quora and found that it is controlled by special interest groups. For instance, Democrats gain control to crowd out Republicans. How is it done? They SIG uses 100 accounts to REPORT FOR VIOLATIONS any content they want removed. And the stupid bots and mods comply. For instance, I posted some verifiable facts about Jehovah's Witnesses, and that group has a special office that REPORTS with over 50 accounts. They are successful in getting undesirable facts about them removed so that they can continue their door to door propaganda campaign.

It is blatantly obvious that CCP has been targeting this site to shape the public opinions about China. It is excruciating to see that the site now creates an atmosphere of a totalitarian regime that absolutely no critical comments can be made towards CCP.

They are nothing but bullys. They delete your comments if your not a admin, they have nude pics on there from admins, but if we were to do that we wouldnt be able to. Alot of pedophiles are on there. Alot of little kids. Alot of sexuality explicit stuff.and what you say dont matter it gets deleted. If a admin is wrong and you disagree you get deleted.if you say something nice and they dont like it you get deleted. Alot of false information on there. I pusonly think no 10 yr old should be on there. With what goes on. Not cool! I wanted to help people but because I'm not a top writer or a admin or moderator most my stuff gets deleted or I violated quora policy with one of there $#*!ed ideas. If a admin says the same thing as you do on another topic yours gets deleted. I wasted alot of time on there. I'll be deleting my stuff after seeing they didnt take a nude admin down but deleted my comment about the nude admin. Thank you

Quora, the place where people can get away with writing any comment, spread propaganda or harassment, be offensive as long as they don't use the word $#*!.

However if you, God forbid, call someone out when they blatantly offend you using hypocritical and passive aggressive lingo, your comment gets deleted because it's straight to the point.

If I can't write it there I'll write it here. Quora can go $#*! itself along with it's employees who should get killed for being stupid $#*!ing imbeciles who can't judge nor care to judge properly.

I've tried it for awhile now and found it almost impossible to reply to most posts and found it heavily overmoderated. It's nothing more than an echo chamber for liberal world views. Any dissenting opinion is quickly shut down. One supposed Christian site is run by a new ager pushing his reincarnation theology and outright blasphemies against the word of God.
