The overall reputation of Quora appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction about the platform's moderation policies and perceived bias in content removal. Many users reported experiences of censorship, particularly regarding political views, leading to frustrations over a lack of open dialogue. Despite these concerns, some users still appreciate Quora for its diverse range of topics and the opportunity to engage with a global audience. However, the prevalence of scams and low-quality content has raised significant concerns about the platform's integrity and reliability, suggesting a need for improved moderation and user support.

I sometimes read Quora emails out of boredom. One woman wanted to call her baby Khutie Pie because, it was unique. My reply was that I said - poor baby having a stupid mother. I was unable to comment after that because I have violated their rules. Some of the swearing on the site would make a sailor blush, the stupid questions people ask and the long winded answers, these are the people who should have their rights on Quora to be taken away. I guess Quora want idiots on their site to keep them in business.
Quora sucks because:
When they don't think you use your real name, they ban you from their site. And you can't change your name.
You can't deactivate your account 'til 6 days.
Do not have enough words to comment about your own question
It's good because:
You get to learn other people's veiws (some not so helpful)
Freedom of speech! (Sometimes)
Great questions (sometimes)
After being a member for a few years I finally deleted my Quora account and it felt so good to do that.
Quora pays for questions and the number of answers they generate and that is where it falls down for me. The number of idiotic questions is just unbelievable. People ask questions and don't even bother to read the answers. These questions are often provocative, in an effort to drum up more answers. There are also very annoying people who only focus on commenting on the answers others have written. I have been harassed countless times, even to the point of being threatened with violence, over nothing. This provided the last straw for me, one guy kept coming back at me in the comments section and when I asked him to leave me alone (in those very words) the moderators deleted my comment and not his, which was much more aggressive. I appealed and lost, which proved the moderators did not even bother reading what had happened, so I simply closed my account. The other guy had written no answers at all and just focussed on commenting, whereas I had been writing answers in two languages. Quora is filled with pseudo intellectual haters and I regret ever wasting my time on it. I'll never, ever go back to it.
I have been on quora for a little while now and I have had no bad issues or experiences with this site. I have met a lot of other great members and I have definitely found some great answers to some questions that I have been wanting to know for a long time. There are a few things that seem kind of different on this site but overall I am very satisfied with it.
It started as a promising idea. It was, as long as it was exclusive and limited. Now, we have hyperproduction and hyperinflation of Quora Spaces.
Spaces earnings beta program is not worth commenting on. Totally irrelevant suggestions. Spam submissions.
I'm afraid that the "purge" of Spaces that don't meet the minimum criteria in terms of quality and number of followers is inevitable.
I would like to see the statistics of how many questions from India gets highlighted and paid compared to questions by Americans. This site has been hijacked by foreigners and they are getting paid disproportionately at the expense of American questioners and answerers while they make most of their advertising dollars from the backs of American users.
When you get popular and big enough with enough followers or readers to threaten or question their hidden Indian monopoly like reviewer Mark W. You will be sanctioned suspended or deleted by very opaque moderators working in their tech department. Brings up another question. How many of these moderators working in their tech unit is Indian? Do the original founders of quora knows their site has been hijacked? Do they care?
Quora is home for some of the most sick, immature, arrogant, narcissistic and creepy people I've ever seen online. What's worse, people take everything way too personally and seriously over any perceived slights. It gets to the point where I can be sure some of these people are only compensating for something lacking in their life for being so censorious. You can imagine the usual demography of introverted, shy and awkward and nerdy people who have trouble standing up for themselves irl acting like they're these chads and the moral arbiters of truth and reality on the internet because they never have to deal with the consequences you normally get for being disrespectful, conceited sonuva b*tches if they're going act like that in any real life scenario. Having watched Black Mirror before, my observation only led me to see some users resembling character Daly from USS Calister if you catch my drift. Tip to Quora users you probably want to stop taking yourself way too seriously, it's just a god dang website. Tip to visitors, the website has plenty of good information but the amount of misinformation can as bad as it can get and wrong information can get a lot of upvotes just because it's posted by popular users. Just be careful and think for yourself, check other sources and don't trust anything being said just like that because it has a lot of upvotes.
I would not waste my time on this site. You are supposed to express your views but there are certain guidelines that are misleading.
I have only seen 1 of my posts. It's not a legal site to post information on.
Was simply looking something random up and found myself on Quora. Had never used the site, had never heard of it and quite frankly was just in a hurry to read a quick question. I'm usually very careful about my sources, this moment has haunted me since. Their so called facts seem to be cheesy articles. They have inundated my mailbox with so many ignorant "articles", been trying to unsubscribe but that's not been working too well. They also redirect to other sites, probably theirs in order to inflate their views. Quora blows.
There is no actual, free debate on Quora. The so-called "moderators" censor almost anything which does not support a "politically correct," leftist point of view. Appeals are futile. And, it has become much worse over the past several weeks
Unbelievable they emailed me and blacked me from answering or asking question bc they claim my name wasnt right like wut its trash i have been emailing quora back and forth anf im about pissed off
The questions are either pointless, ridiculous, or straight up trolling. While the answers are either unnecessary long, biased, or just completely nonsensical. And don't try to disagree with anything these self-centered said, although most of the time they won't rage out, however they will mock you like street thugs and disgust you with their cringy superiority complex, which are somehow worse than outraging.
Also, what kind of website forces you to give and show your entire real name all the time? Isn't that already in the area of privacy invasion?
My last review was intercepted and not posted.
Quora is full of hacks via google. They work in concert with adult websites and telemarketers to share private info and hacked data.
The details of my experiences are too many to list.
Several key Quora members from Atlanta and Forrest Park, Ga have paid me a visit to "have a looksie".
All data recorded. Names, cars, addresses, all from these scum that have been following persons like myself. All radical leftists telemarketing scum.
Quora? More like cesspit! First of all, the moderation is utter garbage. For political discussions, the mods often remove all the answers and comments that are deemed as politically incorrect according to their agenda. The music community there is incredibly toxic, especially Kpop discussions, where various fanbases spread toxicity. Twitter stans are already extremely irritating, but they are only rookies in making you feel annoyed compared to K-Quora. The site is also riddled with pedophiles and stalkers who prey on teenage girls. Fakery, fabrication, and flaunting are also frequent.
The most annoying part about Quora is that the website always sends messages to my inboxes, despite having banned the website numerous times on Gmail. If I log out of the website, there is a big banner indicating I should log in to it again, which is undeniably annoying. I initially signed up Quora for helping with my chemistry assignment, but what came next is waves and waves of toxicity and junk, and it makes me very stressed. Very very stressed. I know Quora always pops out when searching for something on Google, and please don't use it. I beg you, you will thank me.
The only good thing I experienced with Quora was its real time backup - drafts of posts. Almost nothing was lost, despite countless times that the app stopped working. I'll leave it at that. Perhaps my situation is antagonistic to Quora's robots but I doubt it.
I've seen many reviews, but "Left" is not one that I share. Right, Republican, Communist is what I describe this site as. Republican Communist Right Moderators.
These Quora Guidelines and the "Moderator" people who completely erase what has been said in comments answers or questions is only politically motivated and violating my freedom of speech. I speak the truth about Trump having screwed this country up so much, I speak verifiable facts with evidence, and these people take down my questions comments and answers. It doesn't even need to be a Trump flavor it could be anything, and the users and these Moderators have way too many privilages to be able to silence anyone for any reason. No wonder the color is Red. I think Republicans own this company. This company needs to be investigated. All of my work, completely deleted because of some angry Trump person months ago.
All your rights are completely out the window on this site.
Most of the garbage topics in Quora are written by Chinese government lackeys and stooges. Pathetically stupid commentaries holding and supporting the totalitarian dictatorship's line while criticizing western democracies.
Very one sided opinions that heavily lean towards new atheism and the political left. The website also has unnecessarily restrictive rules. Sometimes contains good impartial answers, but these must be fished out of a sea of extreme bias.
This is a bad place for a free country
A poorly managed company with questionable motives
Paid questioners( QP Program) that often post nonsensical questions to generate useless content that fills the feed of subscribers>
LIberally biased and controlled...
Quora users are copying a significant amount of Stack Exchange questions to Quora, without permissions.
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
