I spent several of my hard earnd dollars and have absolutely nothing to show for it. It a gambling site. I did not realize this. The hook you in and get you going and when you get excited thinnking your about to win a product at a cheap price 20 other bidders jun in and take it from you. They are making money from chumps like me, who buy credits and get nothing.

I watched the bids on the site for a couple weeks. Mostly gift cards to various stores of $25 was going for. 30 cents to 1.50... As soon as I tried it, bids jumped to like $5. The ones I didn't bid on... 30 cents. Sounds like bots bidding against things people bidding on to jump up prices.
I tried bidding on a couple other things... same thing.

I bought a few item through this site. The items were a couple of memory cards and a Lego set. I tried bidding on items such as laptops, tv's and cameras. It seems like a waste of time. It looked like I was going to win as the time ran out. Then it seemed to glich and a new bidder was winnig. This happened several times likely to increase the amount of bids. I assumed when the bids exceeded the retail price of the item someone would win.

Sure seemed like bots were bidding. I can't prove it's a scam but I did file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Don't use Quibids unless you have the money to lose.

I started on this site a few months ago, it used to be very good, I won quite a few items, Then they started sending used refurbished crap for the auctions... stay away from this site, some lawyer will file a class action suit against them and and up shutting them down... you can't change the rules without notifying your customers!

While some people may get some great deals it is a total rip-off. Because it costs you. 60 each time you bid, they ultimately receive 2-5 times the high retail value of the items being sold. It is way worse than a casino. It may be legal but it is unethical. Go spend you money at a casino. You will be better off and have a lot more fun.

One more thing: Please be aware that quibids.com is bribing people to post positive reviews here.

I LIKED THE SITE
June 8, 2010

I LIKED THE SITE. Unfortunately, the auction can go on forever. It is kind of like a war of attrition-whoever hangs on the longest wins. I have use my beginning bids and have won nothing, but I am sure that I will get the hang of it soon

Sure you might be lucky enough to be the one who gets a product for cheap, but there are a lot of other people who don't win. It's easy to forget that for most items you bid on, it costs you a $1.67 to increment the bid by only 1 cent. Your 45 bids for $27 doesn't go very far. Then they suck you into bidding on more bid cards, what a business. Has anyone calculated the profit they are making on each item? Add it up yourself, let's say an iPad sells for $120 on Quibids which would be a great deal for the winner. But it adds up to $120 x 100 cents on the dollar = ******* cents or ******* bids at $1.67 per bid = $20,040 total made on the $120 sale. And the iPad only cost them maybe $900. Holy #&!@# that's $******* in profit, wow, I gotta get into this business.

This website gives you a lot of fun and you have a chance of coming away with some cheap stuff. For just pennies on the dollar, you can purchase TV's, video game systems, housewares, sporting equipment, and all sorts of stuff if you are the winning bidder. If you aren't the winning bidder, you can apply your bid total to purchase the item at the full price. Have fun!

A lot of people are skeptical and say they spent too much money on an item. The one thing people should know is this: Only bid on items you are willing to pay full price for. Moreover, you should ALWAYS do the math on a product before you start bidding. Find out the maximum number of bids you should use while keeping in mind this shipping cost. You should always save some money using this site even if it is just a couple of bucks.

I think you need to understand that yes, you pay for every bid. But every bid doesn't always cost $. 60. If you were to win a 100 bid voucher (normal cost $60.00 100 times $. 60) for say $10.00 then your bid cost dropped to $. 10 per bid. So by winning bid vouchers for less than the normal cost it allows you to bid on other items many times without the high cost per bid. I won an electric lawn mower valued at $399.00 for $9.70 I placed 12 bids with each bid costing less than $. 09 because I first won several bid vouchers to get my cost per bid down. My total cost for the mower ended up to be $10.78 plus shipping. I would have paid shipping anyway if I would have purchased on Ebay. So I don't think this is a scam at all it's just knowing when to hold em or when to fold em.

I like QuiBids
June 8, 2010

I like QuiBids. I understand you win some and you lose some. Its all part of the game. You have a better chance at winning an Auction on QuiBids than you do winning big in Vegas.

Basically it's a gambling website. People trying to get something for nothing. If they offer something you really want, it might be worth buying a bunch of bids and trying to get it. But again how much is your time worth? There's a lot of bidding and those 60 cent bids disappear fast.

This is NOT a scam
June 8, 2010

This is NOT a scam. What people have to realize is: BID $0.60 per BID+ shipping + item cost price that you pay.

Here is an example of what I have won... go look it up(I saved a ton):
Date Purchased: 06/05/2010 9:33
Purchase Type: Auction (#*******)

Order Status: Processed

Payment Information

Item Price: $0.30
Tax: $0.00
Handling: $6.99
Total Amount: $7.29

FYI- I placed 1 bid. Buying bids cost you money. If you are stupid with how you place your bid, you will lose your shirt. A guy from my jobs STINKS at Quibids. He has lost about $100.00 so far because the way he bids is dumb.

This is my favorite win so far. I LOVE this. (16gig usb drive.
Date Purchased: 04/19/2010 6:48
Purchase Type: Auction (#*******)

Order Status: Shipped

Payment Information

Item Price: $4.60
Tax: $0.00
Handling: $2.50
Total Amount: $7.10

I have won around 30 items so far. I am happy with the process. I enjoy getting good deals. I did spreadsheet to find out how much I actually saved, and after all was said and done with bids and shipping cost, I am saving about 15 to 20%. I bid for the fun factor. I haven't won a big ticket item yet. Feels good to pay 4 cents for a blue ray and 4 bucks for shipping... they are IMO the best deals and easiest to get cheap
