Psychology Today Reviews Summary

The company has garnered significant criticism regarding its therapist directory and customer service, with many customers expressing frustration over unresponsive therapists, misleading profiles, and high fees without adequate support. While a few positive experiences highlight effective therapy and valuable tools provided by certain practitioners, these are overshadowed by a pervasive sentiment of disappointment and distrust. Many users report a lack of accountability among listed professionals, contributing to a negative overall reputation. I was searching for while to find the perfect therapist for my kids who was passionate and a specialist at what they do. MSB Counseling Services Inc. has been a true BLESSING! The dedication, resources, and just compassion she has is just incredible. It is very hard to find a professional in any field who is actually passionate about what they do and always want to do the right thing no matter what. I recommend MSB Counseling Services Inc and rate it 10 out of 10. My family had found a new friend.

I contacted a therapist from here for help with my daughter, In the beginning, before therapy and up to the 1st session all was well... what i didnt know was that her true self would jump out so quickly.
There was a delay on her script getting to the pharmacy because the Mom and Pop Pharmacy she was accostomed to using, our insurance did not approve them, so we had to try to find a way to get it to my daughter. 2 days past no script no meds, several phone call were made to her and she was trying to find a way to get it to us. I was unfortunate to be placed on the call on Sunday because I was going to the area where she practise, so after trying to arrange a meet up to collect the script, Dr Wilkinson started shouting at me and told me she was doing us a favor by trying to get the scrip to us. i experience a level of anger and disrespect from her like i have never encountered before.
The therapist is Carole Wilkinson NP DNP Psychiatrist Nurse Practitoner.
She had a problem getting her script to the pharmacy and thus there was some frustration on both ends.My daughter asked me to speak to her and MAN! She was extremely rude, unprofessional and actually disrespected me and talk to me like she was dealing with a 15 year old. To make matters worst, I met with her to collect the script and this person Did not turn off her car engine, Did not get out of her car and did not greet me, She pushed the script through the window and sped off like she was on a race track. The level of rage and anger was so profound that I kept wondering if any other client has experienced this.So concerned, I do not want anyone else to feel like a piece of trash after interacting with this practitioner. I have veen wondering why I was treated like this and cant see any justification for same behavior. Point is SHE IS THE THERAPIST!. So how can you treat a customer like this?

Dr. Tanya Pekker
July 10, 2020

I know Dr. Pekker long time.
When I met her I was in really bad shape.
She is helping me to deal with my every day problems, my personality.
How to communicate with people and what to do next in my life.
It is very helpful and encouraging.
Deal with my family, work, personal problems, my childhood.
She really understands me and can give me great advice, making me think from different points of view.
After every session I feel better and can do my homework.
I really recommend Dr. Pekker to people who need help. Make a first step to your healthy life.
Thank you Doctor for everything.

At first, you think that's a decent website and you can truly find someone to start therapy with. I found a guy named *, who mentioned that he was experienced in a particular field and that's the reason I contacted him. Once we had our first session, I realized that he didn't have a clue why I approached him on psychologytoday.com and he had no experience as mentioned! The next day he changed his experience field on psychologytoday.com where he removed some skills from his profile. They play with souls there, do not trust this site!

Hello Dear,
I am writing to you to make you aware about my experience while attending family counseling with- Nicole Marie McNeil at Clear Perspective, LLC-Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC. The reason I decided to make you aware of this issue is not only because of the horrible experience I encountered, but because I would not like for this to happen to anybody else, specially innocent people. I feel it is the right thing to do. And if I became a therapist or counselor I would never treat my clients this way.

Unprofessional, Disrespectful Therapist

For five (5) months my husband and I participated in family counseling with our minor daughter who has many psychiatric disorders and behavioral issues. The Therapist Nicole Marie McNeil, was unprofessional, rude and disrespectful to me and my husband.

Nicole works in concert with The Division of Family Service Children's Division. She was biased and in favor of our minor daughter. She was laser focused on all of the comments, feelings and wishes of our minor daughter.

Nicole never honored our observations, experiences, input or wishes about our minor daughter. She cut us short when we spoke, was very rude and rarely called us by our name. She will quickly say our daughters name, the foster parent name, the case worker name and all other people's name from Children's Division. She insulted us by stating that we only have conditional love for our daughter and we do not understand her psychiatric and behavioral issues.

She had the gall to write not one but two (2) letters with hurtful intent to the judge overemphasizing her beliefs how bad my husband and I are. This is 100% not true. We do not recommend using Nicole McNeil as a therapist or counselor.

Please find attached the letter Nicole McNeil wrote to the Lincoln County Juvenile Court.

Thank you.

Respectfully,
A former client

Arrogance.
December 4, 2019

I read an article on their site about how mental illness is due to chronic self-absorption. The same writer, Leon F Seltzer, wrote that trauma victims should get over it and quit making things all about themselves. It's a big talk from a little boy who's never been traumatized or mentally ill.

They are literally costing me my business. They are now blocking every Insurance Company that tries to contact me. There is no way to unblock. When I asked for support they told me to give out my real phone number which then would be given to clients. Why even have a number with you! Also sporadically getting messages when a client calls. They have become unreliable and almost useless! Extremely poor customer support and have no interest in solving any problems. Just collect our fees! This company is shady at best. Located out of the country so they do not have to pay taxes!

Fake IQ test
January 20, 2018

I took an IQ test from the test section. It promised to give me a basic snapshot for free, but the snapshot was incredibly vague. Also, the test was ripped off a different also fake website.
