Beware. They get you with a $1 report and then hide the fact that you will be charged $20 for a subscription. They are counting on people not checking their credit card statements. I imagine many customers do not even realize they are paying for this service. I was told that "signing up for the service was in the checkout" but I certainly did not see it. It is clearly designed to trick you into inadvertently signing up for the service.
I did a vehicle look up on carlookup.com for $1.33, was charged $1.40 to print the report and then charged $27.98 and $34.99 the same day by USAHOMELOOKUP.COM. I was charged again $41.95 on the same month. I was then charged $41.89, $41.88, $41.82 $41.95 and $41.92 by MYVINQUERY.COM *******403 TN on the next month.
Called card services to get the transactions revered.
Beware, read the fine print. They do not provide the service they say they do, and you will end up having to dispute their charges with the bank. They say you can get the first service document for $1, but underneath there is a hidden subscription for $50 a month, which you will be unable to unsubscribe from before they take money out of your account seconds later. You, in fact, will be completely unable to unsubscribe from them online, and calls and emails give the run-around. The "you can cancel any time" is a lie, and they immediately try to get as much money as they can before you realize you got nothing they were advertising. This entire site sets you up to trap you, and honestly, I should have known with the review listed way down at the bottom of the page right before you pay where they had the audacity to put a fake review that says, " this is not a scam!". How ridiculous. I also should have known when they only had the option to pay with a debit or MasterCard. Depending on how fast you realize your error and get to the bank, you may or may not get your money back. You also need to change your card number because they take your information and will not let you delete it from their records. I was warned at the bank that it was better to change my card due to the risk of more money being taken from my account due to how fast they started making charges. My advice before spending money on anything online is to check Reddit, yelp, and any reviews to see if things are legitimate, and always read the fine print.
So, this rogue agency said on their website that they are charging only 1USD to provide vehicle history, guess what, I bought the service, and in in less than 30 mins, I had three depits, 1,19 and 24 USD.
Ofcourse, I contacted my bank and disputed the transaction, had my money refunded.
They re thieves.
Paid $1, there was absolutely no data at all and no email receipt. Charged my card 3 times- $1, $24.95 & $0.95 had to stop payment.
I ordered a report on my property and authorized a payment of $1.00 when I checked my bank, there was an additional unauthorized billing for $24.95. I contacted my bank to stop payment of the $24.95. I also emailed the company. They bill under a different name usahomelookup.com
