HIGHLY IMPRESSED; EXTREMELY GRATEFUL.
It all started last week, I was in search of an amazing Mother's Day present. After looking online & referrals I was sold on Portrait Puzzle. For one, it was fairly easy with 3 steps, only taking me about 20 minutes to do it all from my phone which was even more CONVENIENT but I did have to contact customer service because I needed some clarification & the guy Jay was super quick with his information. Long story short, the process was done & I thought all was well. LONG BEHOLD; I received an email stating my package will be delivered Monday, AFTER Mother's Day. I was SADDENED & CONFUSED. Immediately I contacted customer service, & once again, I spoke with Jay. Turns outs, the 2-day was a mix up & it was my fault. During our conversation my phone died (so I know it seemed like I hung up) but I got power & called back. Guess who answered, JAY. He informed me that he will take care of the order to ensure I get it delivered BEFORE Mother's Day. Of course I apologized in case the assumption was a hung up but he was VERY understanding, calm & quick to resolve my concern. AFTER all my difficulties, I requested to speak with a Manager to inform them of my pleased service with Jay. What a surprise I was in for because he informed me he was the owner & WITH THIS SAID; I am overjoyed by the service & I can't wait to see the puzzle. Portrait Puzzles is surprisingly professional. Don't let their retro looking site fool you. These guys are nothing but the best.

We ordered a puzzle for a family member that happens to love puzzles and also her grandkids. So why not combine both of her favorite things in life? We purchased a puzzle from portraitpuzzles.com since they were the top Google result.

Everything went smoothly. The order went out the next day and arrived at my door a few days later... just in time to be wrapped for the birthday party. The puzzle was a big hit. Everyone loved it. Extended family have been asking, "Who ordered the puzzle?" There is already a list of family members waiting to try this puzzle out.

Cut to a few days later... the puzzle is almost complete. Except it was missing a single piece. So I emailed portrait puzzles late at night. They responded first thing in the morning. They offered to send us a new one to make up for the missing piece. I was surprised to find out they also sent it with rush delivery.

They delivered a quality product on top of being fast and professional. I would highly recommend them again for custom puzzle making.

Misleading website. I uploaded the picture I wanted printed on a puzzle, and it uploaded just fine. I reviewed the picture, confirmed that it was how I wanted it, and a week later, I received a puzzle that had half of the picture chopped off. I contacted customer service, and they basically told me "sorry you didn't see the fine print, but we have the right to crop your picture as we see fit. Merry Christmas."

Now my brother and his wife (puzzle enthusiasts) get a puzzle that has his best man and several friends chopped out of the picture because of "my" mistake.

Very fast shipping time, I received my puzzle four days after ordering it with the standard shipping option. I ordered the 1,000 piece puzzle with the upgraded tin. The puzzle pieces are great quality, they feel like any other puzzle pieces purchased from a store. The tin was definitely worth the upgrade as it feels solid and has a great look to it.

At first I was leery due to not many reviews and wondered about quality since they advertise they ship the next day. But I am very happy with the result and would order from them again.

The website was convenient, the puzzle printed quickly, and right on their advertised delivery schedule. The photo enlargement looks good.

HOWEVER: The card stock the puzzle was printed on was AWFUL; practically paper egg carton quality. Furthermore, while the box the puzzle came in had a nice photo of the puzzle on top, was so poorly manufactured as to be difficult to open, and has an advertisement for the company stuck to the side of it.

I'm now stuck between testing their return policy and having no gift to give, or having to give a shoddy feeling gift. I have not yet tried any of the competitors to compare.
