As an older gentelman at 50, I was looking for a younger gal to start a family with, ergo necessitating a yonger woman. I chose the age parameters between 24 (not likely) to 34 (probable).
Happens all the time... right?
POF paraded a large range of younger women within that age range before me deluding me into thinking I could contact them. So I upgraded.
Wow... big mistake.
I tried to contact the SAME women, but was told that THEY (the women) didnt accept messages from certain users.
Hmmm... then why were they displayed?
I was suggested that I go to MY matches instead. HUH? WHAT THE.? Thats what I thought I was doing!
What the devil is going on here.
I went to my matches button and no woman younger than 36 was displayed, and most were OVER 48.
Cant have a family in that age range... so now Im pissed. I dont like being steered into old bat territory when Im CLEAR in my age parameters what im looking for.
I Emailed POF asking what is going on, and they told me I couldnt contact women more than 14 years younger than me.
WHAT THE HECK... Im not 10 years old, and I dont need anyone taking my money and then not providing the service they claimed.
POF specified that the WOMEN only allow certain people to contact them... which is catagorically FALSE.
POF does not allow it.
The legal term is "Bait and Switch", and I believe the crime is called embezzelment.
Im seeking to start a class action lawsuit against these scammers.

Nothing is free, this line is bull$#*! if you want to chat with someone then upgrade which means money money money. It was a waste of my time looking thru pictures and the reviews I have read WOW you bet your bottom line you will not get my credit card info. People beware once you give you CC info they will take advantage. Question, is that leagal? I was not a fool they did not get mine. Thanks for the reviews I have read.

I recently had s very bad experience on this site. It was my first time on a dating site & I do admit to being naive about the whole thing. One of the first guys to message me was a guy called ste. He seemed genuine & we gelled right away. I agreed to meet up the day after (much too soon) saying that though our initial date was a success and he seemed just as nice in person. We messaged frequently & there were no sexual innuendos it was all fun and lighthearted. We went on a proper 2nd date a few days later & again it was enjoyable, he even had me back home for before 10. Then cane the weirdness, his messages got more & more frequent & intense (still no sexual references but references to his he was 'falling for me' etc. being the hopeless romantic that I am I fell for this and then when he realised this the message did have sexual references and on our third proper date (a week later after 3 mini get togethers inbetween, all requested by him) we slept togeth (big naive mistake on my part). From that moment I felt in my gut that things were different, he messaged less frequently & I seemed to b the one initiating text conversations. We met again one final time & again slept togeth. I was smitten but deep in my gut knew s'thing wasn't right. Again messages on his part were infrequent with me seeming to do all the work (and prob sounding quite desparate I'm ashamed to admit). A week later I popped onto pof with the intention to delete my account & who should pop up with a whole new profile & online just seconds after responding to a text from me. I confronted him about this with no response. Just avoid a guy who now goes under the username of 'Cheekyste' from Wolverhampton & has himself & his daughter on his main pic. He's a player, a complete charmer and a liar and I fell for his charm completely.

I had an account with Plenty of Fish. And then they automatically renewed my account without my permission. When I contacted them (and it took two phone calls and two emails) they assured me they would provide a refund. Instead of a refund, they cancelled the services for which they charged, but did not refund my money. I have emailed them twice since, but no response. Total ripoff!

Plenty of fish.com is a horrible dating website, people can report you for any reason and you can be banned for any reason, after emailing them to ask why i was banned i received no reply or answer, and when i tried to make a new account they deleted it before it is made, maybe they log peoples i. P addresses.

I have been on this site for a long time. The quality of the men, especially from Florida as been worse than disappointing. Most of the men who suspect that they are having sexual problems will use this site to meet and confirm that they are suffering from erectile disfunction or are too small to satisfy any women or they are short, ugly, broke and broke down. I am talking about black men, It's a crying shame. Don't waste your time ladies.
The men aged 40- 55 yrs on this site, are men that most women don't want.

Plenty of fish does not honor your private information. Right after signing up with them (I immediately deleted the account) I have been bombarded with porn and other online dating sites. I always say "NO" to not receiving news letters or allowing to share my email address. BEWARE!

One day my friend told me about this silly website so I decided to give this a try, I didn't believe non of the profiles was true. On January I came across a beautiful girl from a different country, we decided to get into a Long Distance relationship we Skype, Text, and phone calls. Me and my love been in the relationship for 1 year and 5 month Long Distance. I plan to bring here in my country and start a new life.

I was POF over a year ago. When I went back on, it was all the same guys. There were a few new guys.

I have never lied about my appearance. But it would seem that the men have no problem doing that.

I met up with a couple of the new guys, and made sure they were aware of my appearance. I am a bit overweight. My pictures were accurate, full body, full face, no shyness, I figured honesty was the best policy.

ALL of the men I met on this site were players. They claimed they wanted love, but almost the first word out of their mouths was do you give BJ's? When I said only in a committed relationship, they left, said they wanted to see me again, and I never heard from them again.

I'm done with POF, OK cupid is going to get the same response.

I don't think upgrading will help. Men who pay can be just as big of jerks as men who can't.

This site is the worse of all of the free sites.

The website barely works. So you can expect the servers to crash just about every 2 hours. So what can be worse than a website that barely works you ask? There have been certain aspects of the website that the developers decided to implement that render it frustrating and a horrible experience.

Example #1: You have a limit on how many messages you can send a day. The worst part is, the website doesn't even tell you when you've reached your limit! You could be sending messages all day (to which the website displays sent) and the messages aren't even delivered! Be careful too, because if you do go over your 40 a day limit (which you have to keep count yourself) you will be permanently IP banned.

Example #2: The website is a scam. Plain and simple. You'll often be notified that there are women in the area that want to "meet you". Come to find out, this is a feature that's only available to paying members, so if you have any interest in seeing who these people are, plan on paying a monthly fee. Free dating website? Hardly.

Example #3: The website is hideous. It honestly doesn't look it's been updated since 2005. Navigating the website is confusing and slow.

Example #4: Don't actually expect to meet anyone. This website barely has a userbase for anyone not living in a large city. That is, unless, you want to meet really old women with nothing better to do than log on this website.

Just stay away. This website doesn't even deserve 1-star. Way too generous.

Yeah that site is a joke. Be careful of Tigersharkpat. I know him and he is a liar. He is full of drama.The horse he is on belongs to one of his x's and the picture of him standing was taking with one of his x's. She was the best women he will ever get. Hes a fool to let her get a way. I am one of his friends and i cant stand back anymore and let him treat ladies bad.He really made his profile look good but ladies just trust me its all lies. He will say that he a good guy and his x's are the ones that are crazy but trust me he can not be trust.He lies and breaks the law all the time. So stay away from him. Every single "meet me" invite and private message was a HIDEOUS women. I mean 50+ lbs on me and just not very pretty at all. Very few profiles take the time and effort to fill out the fields (which admittedly is not pof.com's problem). I am not too shallow but I tend to pull 8-9's in real life but ONLY get messages from 3-5's on POF. I am so pissed off that I have am seeking out review websites to complain about POF. Good set up, great ideas and such but just HORRIBLE results.

I agree with many reviews: You get what you pay for. But for a 100% free site POF is pretty good but keep in mind that it is really hard to find a decent date. Many fakers, spammers and scammers though.

The Site is functional but the people are not... at all... so sad that technology has taken the humanness out of us. We wonder how people can do certain things it's because of the desensitized nature of us in 2016. Seriously everyone what are we thinking logging on and swiping left or right sending messages that could be better crafted by 3rd graders expecting something positive. No physical or chemical interactions goes against nature. If we were robots online matching would probably rate close to 50% successful but no way is this a viable means of finding love or anything close...

Its packed with transexuals women visible tattoos waiting for a cash cow. Have a feeling Albuquerque is not a place for attractive guys just looking for nsa sex and not looking to raise another persons baggage.

Adult friend finder has less than ten people for a place with almost a million people looks like im going to be hard time in a free society. I have friends that are on this site and I have tried to warn them several times. Just because someone you meet appears to be "Normal" to you doesn't mean that their personalities can change and they can become psychotic in no time. One guy I know recently met a girl off of POF and now he can't get rid of her and what makes it worse is he led her on into thinking she was going to get into a relationship with him then she really went crazy. The sad part she has his cell phone number, he friended her on Facebook, she can get to him on messenger and she knows where he hangs out, etc. She drove into town this past Saturday and was coming to town to have him arrested for lying on his profile and leading her own, so he is no better for leading the girl on. Stay away from this site... half of these people need to be locked up in a mental institution somewhere. I just hope that if and when any friend of mine decides to meet up with any of the people on there. That I hear from them again. I mean seriously. Stay away!
