KnowledgeableOf all of the dating sites I perused, I would have to give PlentyofFish, hands down the award.

I have used this dating site for a number of years. In my college years, I was not as knowledgebale or serious, for that matter, about the site. So my results were mediocre. It wasn't until I graduated and had the understanding of dating sites that I began to receive awesome results.

I am happily engaged to an amazing gentleman and yes, I met him via the site. I have found that the men on this site were in comparison to OKCUPID, much better. As with any dating (FREE especially), you need to understand how to navigate the waters - so to speak.

To close, I would say give this site a month, at least. Don't waste your time on men and women who want to only communicate via the app or website and or who never seem to log on lol.

Seriously. POF is crap. Have I gotten dates from it? Yes. Are they worth it? No. Is it like pulling teeth? Yes. If you Ever were interested in the gender dynamics or proof that men & women are different look no further than a site where 5's can get hit on from dudes that wouldn't even bat an eye in real life but are lonely or need to get laid yet you have to look your best, be your best, write your best and cross your fingers just for a chance that 1 in 10 females writes you back. Even lower for dating and lower than that for a positive experience. There really needs to be better competition. Match.com bought them up to cut competition even more. But you see how quickly Tinder surpassed in a couple years what POF took 10 or more to (fail to) achieve. That shows you how bad it is. Seriously. The only thing I'd "encourage" is leaving your own 1 star review here too so as to reflect its actually quality level, err lack thereof.

There's nothing but a bunch of no good ungodly men on this site. I'm in the San Antonio area. Especially, the African American men. These men have no job, no car, no money, deadbeats, still married, 4 or more kids they don't take care of, no place to live (nomads), etc. These men are looking for sex and someone to take care of them. I believe it. If you keep jumping from home to home all these STD's carriers on this site. Ladies if you have morals, values, and love for yourself. This is not the dating site for you.

I can't stand the fact that I don't have an option anymore to block people, I could only report and that doesn't even work. I have this looser that just because he is not my type and I ignored him, now he has become a cyber bully and a internet stalker.He is sending me bullying messages, harrasses me, intimidates me and even sent me viruses to the point that when I go to open his profile to report him it takes me to a page that literally says is viruses. This looser makes fake accounts just to harrass me therefore he has also become a internet stalker.If the option to block someone is only through a member account meaning for me to pay, this website is not worth my money and I will go on every POF page there is to make sure my report is seen. I think reporting someone as I have reported this pathetic pest is not even working because he still harrasses and is becoming annoying. Make a change POF and allow everyone to block or this could become a legal issue and a lawsuit for your website.

After I've been moving to a new city I joined bunch of online dating sites to meet new people. POF seems to be one of the largest dating sites and I've found many members from my new home town so in my opinion it is really worth joining. However, I did not meet anyone using POF. In the meantime, I've met several people using Mingle2day and eHarmony so compared to those two dating sites I'd give POF 3 out 5 stars. But as mentioned it seems to be large so it is always worth a try.

I was on POF for about 12 years. I was on at times when I was in school and at home. I was also on at times when I had my own car, was out working full time, had my own place as was doing well. I've never met anyone through any dating sites "Ever". It's not from lack of trying or being a decent enough looking guy. I think it's more to do with you can be a great person, guy and have a decent life but girls either don't know what they want, only want a guy that is 5'10" tall or taller, or has a certain level of success which changes for most guys from time to time. This site still sucks because even with pictures it doesn't change the person or what a woman is looking for. Since there is always someone better out there it seems some people want to keep their options open even when they are taken already. Like I said this site sucks.

I had sent over 20 emails to girls on POF & no replies, then it says these profiles want to meet you & then upgrade to unlock the feature... lol I mean seriousy how do they expext you belive that one... I mean if they genuinely wanted to meet me they would simply reply to my free email, easy, however everything on POF leads into a upgrade.
Upgrade to see who viewed your profile or ugrade to unlock this or that. This sites a toal scam & is not for free at all. Complete Bogus.

I joined pof yesterday and is asking me to pay a membership to read messages same the other scam websites people who run this services should get a rested or at least checked over as same as British hearts and so many others where I all ready paid subscription. So before you pay you members... you get messages from woman but strait after you paid you don't get reply that's my 3xpierience with the dating websites. Don't be naive people to f8nd true live on that scams we are not less fortunate than the once who are in relationships. Your day will come as well. To be honest it's easier to meet someone in the college on the course rather than this Web. I haven't meet any in my whole live who said we meet on pof or other crap...
