Lots of women use old photos and quite happily knock 10 years off their real age to try and get a younger man Most profiles only say fill in later or contain that many demands that no man would be interested It's full of both angry and dumb people. Most have multiple issues and red flags galore. Lots are timewasters or just plain weird POF = Low quality and a dreadful standard. I've deleted my account and won't be back

The women all want the dream man, yet most of them won't pay a cent for the site. That's not a good start, is it? They can't see likes but won't do anything about it except complain. Most don't fill their profile out so what you supposed to talk about? Lots of short angry unattractive unfeminine women demanding tall attractive masculine men. I mean what could possibly go wrong? Most of them say they won't respond unless there's a spark which really means the man must be a 6'4 Adonis with a six-pack who is funny with a great personality. If you don't tick the boxes, you'll be ignored. (Of course the chance of a man like that needing to be on an online dating site is virtually zero)

This has to be one of the worst sites on the internet. Its full of dreadful people. Lowest of the low everywhere you look... full of their own self importance. It won't take you long to understand why they're single. Avoid avoid avoid
A horrible experience

In the six months I was on POF I spoke to two women both who ghosted me after a week. Not having the common decency to tell me they'd found someone else sums up the kind of person you can expect to find if you join up The rest just ignore you or are so bad that you wouldn't want to message them regardless Lots of 40-50 old women trying to recapture their youth still thinking they're 21 is quite embarrassing. Their sense of reality seems to have gone out the window and some of the demands they make are really quite sad

I've got a week left on my paid subscription, and I definitely won't be renewing it. You live and learn. The major problem is that the women on there all want the perfect man and refuse to compromise even slightly. Their profiles might say they want a funny guy with a good personality, but unless you're very good-looking, you won't get a reply. The second thing is the women have all the traits that aren't good. Unattractive, don't take care of their bodies, tattoos, other mens children. The standard is very poor yet they all want the perfect man. They won't even settle for okay the man has to be gorgeous The other major problem is there's too many men on there so even if you find a good woman she'll be snowed under with messages from other guys I definitely won't be rushing back to POF. There has to be better than this.

I didn't realize there were so many single mum's and misfits in the world and they all have seem to have gravitated towards Pof.
Add in drama queens, immature attention seekers and ne'er do wells & you have the perfect storm for staying single. The worse they are the more demands they make on the site. It's a real head scratcher.

I've have never encountered so many mid average looking women in my life (And calling them mid is extremely generous) Mid looking women + attitude problem + ego= a terrible combination The egos are totally out of control on there. I can't believe I was dumb enough to pay for 3 months on this site. I should have read the reviews on here first. If you're a man and are thinking of signing up then don't. You'll be extremely disappointed with the quality. I don't even want to give it even one star

I can't comment what the men are like but the women are either thick, single parents and/or not very attractive what they are good at is being unpleasant rude and extremely demanding. Regardless of what they look like or how old they are they all still expect and demand the perfect man.

Most of the women are not attractive yet act as if they're Margot robbie. As if that's not bad enough they're incredibly stuck up, rude, have no s.o.h and are full of their own self importance acting like the men should be grateful they're on there. I've never seen so many red flags in my life Before I paid I was getting likes I couldn't see every day. Since I paid all the likes have dried up. What a coincidence! Don't bother.

I joined this "dating"site a few months ago

I didn't think I was being excessive with what I was looking for

Just someone nice and friendly

Someone reasonably attractive

Someone with a good sense of humor and personality

Not only did I struggle to find any of the above, but most were the exact opposite.

The attitude of those online seemed to act as unpleasant and undesirable with as little effort as possible & then act surprised when they can't find a good man.

I was dumb enough to sign up for a month on POF. Thankfully I managed to cancel it after 30 days so no real damage done

The standard is really bad, most need therapy and lessons in etiquette. Most of full of themselves despite looking like Rosie O'Donnell yet expect a guy who looks like Chris Hemsworth.

To say I was disappointed would be a mega understatement.

It's like trying to find a diamond in the rough. You've more chance of winning the lotto

I met someone through a POF page, but I was scammed by this company, whose name is Bad. I have to complain to ***TRE/ (BLES) /LTD(COM)****, and I'm glad they returned my money. SEND THEM AN EMAIL IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR FUND, AND THEY WILL REFUND IT.

Pof reminds me of the last helicopter out of Saigon.

The women I've spoken to told me the same thing. They get so overwhelmed with the number of messages they receive, most of which are either inappropriate or sleazy, that they just leave the site

No decent woman will stay on there for long if that's the case, which probably explains why there are so few nice women left on pof. They all left on the last chopper.

The ones left behind are those with major issues, those who have baggage, those who are angry unhappy or bordeline deranged and those obsessed with tattoos, gaming or 'fur babies'.

I can't imagine a site with worse people on it. You get what you pay for in life and pof is free to join

It's just nasty

I wasted six weeks on POF. It's fairly obvious what the main problem is with the site

It's a basic supply and demand issue. Too many desperate men and not enough quality women

I don't blame the women for being picky I'd do the same if I was getting messages left right and center.

Problem is in my opinion 98% of the women are either undesirable and/ or ones that make it clear their children/cats/dogs will always come first. I don't want to date someone like that

I'd say maybe 1% or 2% of the women are okay quality, the rest are terrible. Most are incredibly brash, blunt, classless and not very feminine.

Apart from that it's great! 1 star is too generous

Ps what's with all the tattoos?

They view and like your profile then message but all I ever got is hi, hello or u ok?

If you message first and get a reply you'll just get hi or hello regardless of what you ask in the initial message

Either the site is full of people with low IQs or they just get so many messages that they don't care about having a conversation with you. It doesn't bode well if giving more than one word answers is too much effort for them

It's not surprising they can't find a man is it? Why would I want to message them when thats all they say?

I think because the site is free people don't care. But why would anyone message someone if they're not capable of telling more about themselves?

I also don't want to know they can't see likes and how they don't want a one night stand or how they hate liars and cheats. It's just lazy and generic guaranteed to put people off

Nobody is interested in reading complaints and unhappiness. Until people are happier on the site it'll remain useless.

Its not the site. It's the people it attracts

If you see someone that catches your eye there will always be an issue as about 95% of women on pof are single parents who either smoke or are tattoo junkies. Most of them don't seem to take much care of themselves either.

I didn't find anyone even remotely happy to message so I'm not writing because I'm bitter I was ignored. I'm just being truthful how bad it is

The women are second division at best yet are incredibly stuck up, arrogant and opinionated. If you think I'm exaggerating look at the photos and profiles on the site.

There are very few women you'd want to be seen out in public with. They all seem very unhappy and incredibly angry with life and men in general

First of all Gary Lee, (his real name) he is 53 and living in Newport News, VA. Ladies, don't waste your time. This guy doesn't own his own business, he works for a homeowners association. His profile picture is probably 4-5 years old and he's gained about 40+ lbs since it was taken.

He's lazy, smokes pot to the point of excess, and has no clothes that aren't stained or have holes all over them. When you look at the Pic of his house on Google it looks like a junk yard. He states he makes 10k-12k per month on his business, yet has no clean clothes, wears no socks, and what he does wear is full of stains and holes, frankly his money must be going to weed sadly. We went on one date and he claimed that he wanted a relationship, but he only wanted one thing and one thing only. If a man makes 12K per month, how does he owe money on a house he bought for 83,000 seven years ago? Im not all about the money or material things, everyone has debt why lie?Just be who you are. I question him about his business, just general questions, about a bathroom remodel that he was working on, he didn't answer the question, started to ghost me and was back on pof looking for his next woman.

After looking into his life and finding out most of it was fake, I was smart enough to throw this fish back within 4 days of knowing him. His entire story is a lie.

What I've always found, if someone's story doesn't make sense it's a lie. This guy has more holes in his story than Spongebob! Lol

Nothing about anything he told me makes sense. Just be who you are and tell the truth. Most of us just want a nice man in our lives, not money or huge homes.
Be careful out there guys and girls, always do a background check, listen to your intuition. Stay safe!

POF is a bargain basement site, so it attracts the bargain basement type of person. Lots of egos, weirdos, and people with issues who shouldn't be dating.

The headline section is supposed to be the first interaction people have with potential partners, so maybe people would make an effort The people on POF don't seem to know how to communicate
Look at some of the headlines and ask yourself why anyone would bother?
