This was a great app where I could get great ideas from people. Now it's all ads. Tired of people always trying to sell me stuff. I can go to Etsy if I want to buy something. I'm a crafter looking for inspiration
They are awful. Im not exaggerating the customer service is atrocious. I don't care about the consumer at all. My account had gotten flagged for spamming I'm actually a business account. And I rely on it for my business. I was really upset that they had suspended my account. I reached out to them playing my case letting them know that look I use it for business I wasn't trying to rig the system or spam anyone. I barely even post. After reviewing the guidelines that they referred me too on what's considered spam. I still don't feel like I violated anything. The representative wouldn't tell me why my account would not be reactivated. So I tried creating another account. As I said I use it for business and as much as I hate Pinterest I still kind of need it for my business. It does generate traffic to my site. Come to find out that my site has been banned. Due to inappropriate I barely even post. After reviewing the guidelines that they referred me to on what's considered spam. I still don't feel like I violated anything. Come to find out that my site has been banned due to inappropriate. I sell products that are not offensive. I honestly feel like this is the biggest load of garbage. I honestly feel like Pinterest are way too particular. They don't care about the business at all. I actually had a tailwind account and I had to cancel it because now I can't use Pinterest for my business. They just don't care please steer clear I honestly wish I hadn't wasted so much time. With my first Pinterest account because it was a lot of time in hours that I put into getting that account viewers and followers wasted for nothing.
So I occasionally looked at baking stuff, etc, along those lines, my daughter used it frequently, she liked saving pins of clothes she thought pretty. Nothing was ever uploaded, nothing ever made public, every category was locked. And yet they kicked me and my daughter off for doing nothing wrong. That so called company hacks your account and makes up whatever justifies their intrusion into your life. They did this twice, I am now an advocate against companies like pin$#*!.
I enjoy using Pinterest but their customer service is terrible! I had an account under an email address that is now deleted. I tried updating my email multiple times to no avail. I figured there was no need to worry about it and finally gave up.
Well, I got on the account, created a new board, and added about 20 new images. Apparently this is considered "suspicious" activity so they locked my account, changed my password, and said I had to use the email they sent me to change my password and get back into my account. That wouldn't be a problem if they had let me change my email to the new! Now I lost everything on the account because my old email address is deleted.
I contacted Pinterest stating I had saved private boards for my business and I needed access to this account. No response because they don't care. This is absolutely infuriating. What is worse is that this company knows they can treat their users horribly because people aren't going to stop using their services. If there was an alternative to Pinterest I would use it in a heartbeat. Pinterest, start providing good customer service to your users, they're the reason you're now a billion dollar company.
Horrible customer service. They made a mistake, want me to pay again and when I refused to pay again, they hung up the phone on me and then blocked my number.
Stop blocking websites that are safe and it is not nessecery to block. It is really getting on my nerves.
Horrible company. As an account member and LLC business owner that's an accredited business with the BBB (A) rating. They have zero ways to communicate or to be contacted. Rejected my application for being a verified merchant. Even though I complied with absolutely everything. They didn't give a single reason why even though my competitors with horrible reputations and business practices are already verified. Guess they only like fake junk companies like themselves.
After 4 years suspended for no specific reason. Had saved many pins including many woodworking pins. Very helpful bur now there gone. I suggest using a different site if you want specific information and save it or download it for future use. Do not recommend Pinterest.
Used to be very good, however too many people are restricting browsing with annoying adverts you can't get rid of. I am about to delete it from my iPad.
I absolutely love Pinterest but get very frustrated if I have to walk away from my phone and come back and it always reloads so I lose what I was looking forward to pinning previously. How do I stop this from happening. There should be an option to reload new pins or continue scrolling down the pins that are already loaded.
I used to work at this company. They might look glamours from the outside, they have no intention to secure personal sensitive data collected from their customers. Their Security team has no proven measurable process to protect and secure users data privacy and security. Everything was controlled subjectively by couple guys who lead the team like Godfathers of the Mafia. Upper management at the same time has zero monitoring metric and measurable controls. I wonder how they would pass Data Privacy laws regulated by the EU or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA 2020). Protect your data, stay away! Because they won't.
I have been on Pinterest since 2015 and have both business and regular user accounts. Over those years I have been both pleased and disappointed with their "free" service. Knowing that I was but a guest allowed to use their service, I was always very supportive of Pinterest and accepted their unpredictability, such as rolling out changes to their format without warning or even letting their users know what was changed. It's their site and they can do whatever they want with it.
I have put in so much time and effort into creating over 170k Pins that were painstakingly crafted to cater to my audience and potential customers. This has allowed me to have over7M views per month and given me a steadily growing number of close to 100k followers. Those numbers of new followers and views normally continue to increase if Pinterest doesn't change things to make my Pins useless.
However, the one thing that Pinterest can be relied upon to do, is make frequent and unpredictable changes. I have never been notified or even seen a change management blog or anything made available to the public that would inform me on when or what changes were made. Though, the sudden decrease in overall numbers shown in their analytics service is a good indication that they changed things again.
If Pinterest would at least let their Pinners know what they changed, added, removed and how it will impact the Pins I have already created it would greatly improve the overall Pinterest experience. Until something like this is implemented, I can't recommend using Pinterest for anything anymore.
I have tried unsuccessfully FOUR times to unsubscribe, as 'advertisement clutter' in my inbox annoys me. There is a place to unsubscribe to Pinterest - apparently no one is paying attention to it!
I order merchandise as I NEED it, not because of ads.
However, I will no longer order anything through Pinterest. This, in my opinion, is poor customer service.
So now that I have been on Pinterest for years they have pigeonholed my pins. It's very frustrating. I don't want them to choose what I see, I want to choose what I want to see. Makes sense right?
I really like Pinterest mostly for all the great information you can gather on there. It is a great place to store your interests and like to go back to when you want to see them for any reason.
I have been through Pinterest academy. I have emailed customer service in response to rejected ads asking specifically why an ad was rejected when others very much similar were. Basically run around comes to mind, but no answer just referred again to the thier guide, which does not do helpful. If they were not a big social media site I would run and not look back they are so bad...
Looks like enough people bemoaned the sudden removal of titles on Pins, because they're back. It was totally useless without the text, now that it's back it's back to being a middle-of-the-road bookmarking site.
It's always been a bit dicey trying to get things just so with Pinterest, but they recently removed the text titles. It's completely useless now. I don't know why I have a purple icon on my "recipes to try" page because the text is hidden. What's that image of a blanket on the "cool bathroom ideas" page? Oh, it's the ad on that page which was the only thing it could capture, so useless now. FFS at least figure out how people are using your app before obliterating it.
I used to truly love pinterest, and would spend hours on it. But now, all my descriptions are gone. And the page is so jumbled looking that you can't focus or tell where one pin starts and the next ends. It is a visual MESS!
Please bring back the Pinterest that I love!
I was a Pinterest evangelist. I got so many users signed up on their app I should have been paid. But no longer. First it was ads. So everyone understands a few ads but they have made it into ads on every scroll line. Then they started inserting random "picked for you pins" with a poorly designed algorithm. Then they blacklisted many websites because they believe in censorship. And now, on top of all of that, they have made their platform almost completely useless by taking away titles and descriptions from pins. Pins don't make sense anymore without descriptions to explain them. Who runs these changes at Pinterest? Who approves them? It's no wonder that they've lost millions in the last quarter... they don't listen to their user base! Here's some million $$ advice for you Pinterest. Get a consumer advisory board made up of REAL LIFE users and run changes by them. Someone will unthrone this company soon if they don't become more user friendly.
I didn't and still don't know what I'm doing to set my site up with them, I've tried to reach out to them with a detailed message of the issue I was having. All they did was deactivate my account account because of spam!?!?#?! Excuse me, they don't call me to answer my questions to follow up and help me, they just send an email with spam, I have never sent emails to anyone, I haven't even figured out how to use the darn site! After reading the reviews from other people, I should of ran as fast as I could and never signed up! Will never happen again in life! I will also tell EVERYONE I know, and I know a lot of people! Just remember Pinterest what goes up will come down and for all of those you've wronged (sounds like many) there are always consequences.
Answer: I warned everyone about what a piece of crap pinterest is and now their true colors are showing. #PinterestSucks
Answer: I was sent a message on May 29th alerting me of my suspension, with no explanation, only that they would be sending an email explaining why. I sent an email to their help desk explaining I was a long time member with thousands of posts, none of which I considered to be against their policy. They acknowledged my email and said I'd get a reply shortly. I have not heard back nor do I expect to. This is not the first time this has happened and I have learned my lesson. They have no regard for their members and their customer service is nonexistent. Never again!
