Pimlico sent a plumber to my place to fix slow water problem, who did zero technical work but instead advised "Found booster pump burned out…… install new at cost of £589 + £125 labour" – but that was a blatant lie, after their plumber left, we took a time stamped video that showed that the pump worked perfectly fine. Figured out in fact there was just a simple airlock, which was solved with mere tap opening and vacuum easing off after open/close/re-open. Furious to see tactics of their intent to deceive, they saw the opportunity to exploit a vulnerable family with a little baby – and then sent me invoice of £150 for this deception. There was no technical service conducted by their plumber, and their website said no callout charges – but that was also a gross misrepresentation.
I had a disappointing experience with Pimlico. I booked an engineer to diagnose a boiler issue. The engineer arrived unprepared, lacked the basic tools needed to access the system, and provided speculative advice rather than a proper assessment or fix. I was charged £150 for a visit that resolved nothing. When I raised a formal complaint, my concerns were initially dismissed. After nearly two months of being ignored, I had to prepare a formal legal claim. Only then did Pimlico issue a refund, but without any admission of responsibility. I appreciate the eventual refund, but the delay, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of the issue left a very poor impression. I would not use their services again and advise others to be cautious.
Poor communication, incompetent engineers, left us without heating or water for 6 days with no apology, charged us over £1200. Avoid.
Terrible service, kept me waiting all day, did not fix anything, failed to deliver services I was told would be delivered over the phone, and was charged £100+ for a 20 minute inspection in which the handyman concurred 'yep the door is broken'. Company is bordering on being a blatant scam.
Helpful and willing to tell you what you need to hear up until the money transaction, after which they delivered some of the rudest customer service I've experienced. Avoid at all costs.
Beware of Pimlico! When faced with a leak, I called them. Their plumber advised destroying my bathtub and drilling my neighbor's ceiling, which I later found out was unnecessary. Instead, a friend recommended a competent company, who fixed the issue in under two hours – surprise, the leak was under the bathtub, a full-blown waterfall! This new team skillfully repaired it, left tiles intact, and charged fairly. Pimlico's incompetence cost me around £500, broken tiles, and stress from their unnecessary actions. Don't make my mistake – avoid Pimlico and opt for genuine expertise!
Sad to say total rip off merchants. Stood up to their reputation. DO NOT PAY UPFRONT. Extremely disappointed for a two minute call out. No leeway.
10 minutes visit to quote for indoor door replacement cost £120, was not told this on call. Quoted £800 in Total to replace doors. I said no thanks. Now Pimlico charged me £120 for 10 minutes quote. May they rot in Hell.
Roofing issues resolved very quickly and was not as bad as what i was thinking! Thank you, will be using again.
Very happy from beginning to end with my new boiler.
I have also got a very large guarantee which beats most places. Very happy.
I had a very large leaking coming from my loft, Pimlico were there within 15 minutes from calling them and stopped the leak. Saved me thousands in the long run!
Charged £285 for not fixing the extractor fan after 2 1/5 hours looking at it. Professional shoud be able to assess if it is possible to fix the problem or not and it should NOT take that long 2 and half hours to recommend buying a new extractor fan in the end! Not Recommending, useless service!
