I bought this watch a few days ago. It came not working. Sent email to Phoibos. They said let it rest for two or three days then wind it 50 times. Then wear it for at least 8 hours a day. I did that. The second hand started then stopped, then after shaking softly the second hand started to move. I was smart enough to know not to remove the protective film on the bracelet or caseback because if you do they will not accept it if you decide to return it. It was sneaky and dishonest advice by them to tell me to wear it because most people will not wear it with the protective film, thereby cancelling their ability to return it. Here is a direct quote from their return policy: "The customer is responsible for the return shipping. Once we receive it back and verify it is unworn, the return will be processed and a full refund will be issued. If check watch is worn, will charge 50-200 USD handling fee". I sent them another email stating that it was gaining 6 minutes an hour. They said I could return it or exchange it. Here is where it gets worse. I would have to pay to return it to Hong Kong which would cost me around $20 for a watch that was sent to me not working. Then, I found this in the return section of their online Phoibos webpage: "Please note that the full refund excludes the extra shipping fee for DHL, FedEx, EMS and other commercial express." So, long story short; if you receive a DEFECTIVE watch from this company be prepared to pay for return shipping AND their initial shipping cost will be deducted from your purchase price.

Do not buy
February 28, 2022

Watch (Phoibos Wavemaster) was fine for a few months and then the Bezel broke. I tried to claim on the warranty but Phoibos insisted it was my fault. They finally agreed to fix it under warranty. After keeping the watch for 2 months and charging me for postage, they finally sent it back still broken with no explanation.
Buy a Casio instead.

Watch arrived quickly and was well packed. Real shame as it was a stunning watch. Order *******.
However it was immediately obvious that the dive bezel was misaligned and would not line up with any of the minute markers... no point in having markers if the bezel you are supposed to use it with won't line up!
Returned the watch and got refund BUT Phoibos will not refund my postage of £8.95.
It was returned as faulty and breached our contract of sale.

Beware!

IF returning an item, hold on to ALL your send/tracking information & follow their return directions completely. My return pkg was confirmed received and signed by an employee. It wasn't until I presented this information from UPS to them did I get a credit to my account 3 wks after the fact. Shady business practice in my opinion! Watch was only OK - IMHO not worth the hype or $.

Do not expect an easy return from Phoibos. I ordered several watches, duplicate because I wanted to see the watch in person, keeping the one I wanted. After making my decision I embarked on a frustrating "journey" trying to return the extra watch. What ensued was a stall tactic by Phoibos which basically gave a long list of reason why they wouldn't accept the return. Ridiculously they said in a later email you could not even take off the protective film form the dial to examine the crystal. What? Though I told them this watch was new and unworn in my INITIAL email to them, they sent several more "queries" (see below) which was harassing. Even after they FINALLY issued an RMA they did not give me the return address! WTH? I suspect they will come up with a reason to NOT give me a refund in the end on this new and unworn watch. ORDER FROM AMAZON. I will never buy another Phoibos watch again and will rec' to others they don't as well.
