Petsmart groomers did everything I said not to do! They seem to think they can do whatever they want to do with your pet and not what you ask.
Don't do the survey. I love Petsmart. I've been shopping there for at least 20 years. Recently, a lot on line. I just finished the survey, I never do them, my 1st one EVER. Free it is not. 1st they don't tell you what the product is. I assumed it was pet related. WRONG. They are magazines. Okay. My mom likes some. But, THEN they charge you 2 $. And you have to pick 4 different ones. And not even dog/cat fancy. I wasted my time and threw my info out there. Quite annoyed.
I have order. They cancel 3 my orders. I don't know if i should order anything. They cancel it. I had order three months they send me wrong aquarium toys
I have been taking my pet to Petsmart for four years. After his last grooming, I noticed he was shaking his head throughout the day for a couple of weeks. He ad a vet appointment so I had the vet check his ears. The vet came to me and asked, who does my pet grooming. I told him Petsmart. He said they did not do a good job of cleaning his ears. He showed me a glob of hair that was the size of a half a dollar. He said it hadn't gotten to the point of an infection but I needed to use a rinse he prescribed for two weeks. I contacted the corporate office. They took a complaint and said they would contact the local office. I knew right then no action would be taken and I was right. The manager called me and I explained the issue. No apology or training the groomers. I told him I will not be taking my pet back to Petsmart for grooming. He said that's fine. So before you take you pet to JIA Petsmart in Jacksonville Florida. Make sure they do what you're pay for. Never again for me.
Bad Experience:
What was supposed to be a fun day for my son and choosing his first pet hampster today with the money he saved turned out to be a very bad experience.
We went into the PetSmart in Kanata on his school break, we spoke to the associate Brianna about purchasing a dwarf hamster because my daughter bought one the previous week she informed us that they can't live together in the same cage. I said ok and asked some more questions, she then told me I would need to buy its own cage and she told me their cages ranged from $80-$100 I went to look at them, but then decided to check another stores website and I found a kit for $40. I went back to Brianna and told her we wanted to purchase the hampster and we were going to get the cage on the way home and she said NO, go do your shopping and come back. I told her that would not work for us because I needed to stop on my way home because my son needs to get back for his school. She said NO again and that was my only option. We ended up leaving and at this point my son was crying and I did not want to purchase from PetSmart but he was so upset that I decided to drive him home, go out by the cage then return back to buy it.
Again I got Brianna and she was very rude asking my over and over did you buy a cage, I eventually responded back yes as I was signing my paperwork.
First things first my son's experience was ruined because I ended up having to chose the hampster & secondly the treatment i received because I would not purchase the cage from her was unacceptable.

PetSmart is full of lying and dishonest employees I placed a online order on 12/31 had to cancel the same day because they were planning to deliver me a different item and as of today I've spoken to at least 20 employees of PetSmart literally trying to beg for my money to be refunded they deposited the funds twice now in my account only to immediately take the funds right back out again! This is a garbage company!
I ordered a Halti Dog training collar (Headcollar) in size MEDIUM (2). I received a size 1. I contacted Customer service and they said they would order another one in the correct size. I again received a size 1. Called back to Customer Service and they refunded my purchase price BUT said they could NOT reorder and I had to place a NEW order.
I then placed a NEW order for the size 2 (medium) and naturally I received ANOTHER size 1!. I again called Customer service and talked to a supervisor. She said she would contact the warehouse and confirm with a BIN CHECK that they actually had the size 2. She said they had 24 of them! I said OK let me reorder that. I did so and, yeah, you guessed it, I got another size 1. I called Customer Service AGAIN and got another supervisor who said HE would follow up on this PERSONALLY. I never got a return call.
So today Jan 4,2022, I talked to ANOTHER Manager (above a supervisor) and she advised me SHE could not process another order as they have a RULE that only 1 REORDER may be done.
She promised that by the end of business TODAY, she would have an answer for me. Obviously, I have not received any call from her.
In MY opinion and the policies of PETSMART, I will NOT be doing any business with them in the future. This was an absolutely TERRIBLE experience.
I went into petsmart yesterday to see Santa to find out that it ended with the 19 th. So I bought a can lid. I was carrying my dog and put her down so I could get my wallet. The man yelled at me saying is that your dog she needs to be controlled she was sniffing around)
Its store policy. I wouldn't have bought it if she didn't need it. My friends said (. We thought Santa was going to be here)
So unprofessional.
The price on the self show one price ad in checkout it was completely deferent price.

I made an appointment for my my two dogs (25 lbs and 20 lbs) a cut, bath and nails ground. The appointments were 9 am and 10 am. I dropped them off before nine and they said between 4 and five hours. At 1pm I went back to the salon to see if they were ready and was told that one of them had not even been done at this time. Already 4 plus hours in the pen, no water in a pen and only one was done. I expressed my feelings that this was unacceptable. Just apologies as if they had been here before. I asked for a manager on the floor and he did little more than make excuses. This was not about the cost or trying to get my bill reduced. I just wanted my pups taken care of in a timely fashion. He stated the Holidays are like this. I made my appointment just a few days before and they were not busy. They have always been slow but this was ridiculous. Why make an appointment when after 4 plus hours you still have one not even touched at this time. What takes so long? A bath, a cut and nails ground for two small pups and we are talking seven hours. I do not think that appointments are needed. Just drop them off and come back tonight seems to be the policy. They were taken in very early and no other dogs were in the salon when I dropped them off. What is wrong with this place? I will never take mine back there again. No food, no water, no pee break for seven plus hours. SHAME! Pet Smart, I think not. Price $129
Customer svc lady went above and beyond to find special dog food. This food by royal canin is in short supply. But petsmart help find the food for my mother's pet. I love how they groom my mother dog and they groom my cats too. I will not go anywhere else.
I have purchased a fair amount of product through the petsmart site, and am regularly frustrated by the poor design of their site.
I use them because one of their stores is very near me. If I weren't, I would never turn to them again.
I just tried to order some canned cat food through their site. It seemingly offers me options for delivery for this item. After trying everything, though, I can't order this item through their site.
I know that sounds weird, and it's true. I even had my wife come in and try to order the item, because I was frustrated and needed another pair of eyes. She tried, then threw up her hands and walked away.
Went to a petsmart store in san jose wanting to buy a parakeet and was told by the petsmart attendant that i needed to buy two parakeets because one parakeet would be lonely by itself. I said i only wanted one parakeet, and in response to that, the petsmart attendant said i should considered getting two parakeets and rudely just walked away from me without helping me buy a parakeet. After that experience, i went to a petco pet store to buy a parakeet without any problems. I will never shop at a petsmart pet store again after this bad experience.
Don't have Ana groom your pet especially if your fur baby has beautiful long hair. First red flag when she called 30 mins before our appt that made months ago asking if it was cancelled( most likely trying to squeeze someone in). Second, when we walked in she was at the cashier and didn't acknowledge or introduce herself to us. Third called us AFTER drop off to say she will have to shave our dog's hair due to matts. Fourth, we get another call now they can't do his nails. Fifth, went to pick up and the nerve to go on about previous groomers should had charged for dematting... uh what difference at this point? I replied" No, they didn't take the lazy route and brushed him and the vet is able to cut his nails with no issues. You took the lazy route and didn't give us what we wanted so why not demat and charge the 15.00? Also, we were charged a few because he moved too much for the nail clipping but, you indicated you couldn't do his nails. That's contradictory to the initial statement. I explained to her my dog is not bad (you will not give him that label) and she ended it with "maybe you need to take him back there". What? So basically don't bring him back. I doubt corporations supports this statement. You are right with your bad attitude and being argumentative he won't ever be here so you can display your racism for someone else. Its crazy how I brush him a few times a week and specifically check for matts. She lied and knew we would dispute afterwards. Usually they feel them when you drop off. Yeah you right take him back where their solution is not shave and make up sh** and add charges.
I came to Petsmart on 2902 s shepherd, Houston, Texas ******* to return a fish that died and the cashier got very nasty with me and I asked to speak with a manager and he was no better. Cashier #*******! I will be posting a very bad review!
My cat Lola LOVES the temptation treats so much. When she gets stuck under the bed it's what motivates her to get out! I even made a YouTube video for her "Miss Lola stuck under the bed" by AngelaZ:-)
I am beyond disgusted and will be following up with OSPCA for further inquires of Petsmart policy and procedures.
I was left a voice mail to pick my dog up from grooming services in approx 30 mins. On Sunday June 27.
By the time I got there, a chain of big box stores were evacuated with alarms blaring. I frantically went up to an associate asking me where my dog was and they informed me that my dog was left inside.
After approx 30 mins, fire department came and deactivated alarms. I was told that there were 5 other dogs left inside as well.
On there website it states "We keep kennel time as minimal as possible, and there is someone on hand to check on your pet frequently". If this is part of Petsmart policy, why was there not an associate available to evacuate my dog (and the FIVE other dogs locked in crates)?
Im not only disgusted with Petsmart policies to leave dogs inside when there is a potential fire (this was clarified by a district leader at Petsmart - but also other things he said on our phone conversation. Im curious to know if the phone call we had was being recorded because he was also talking to me while driving - really shows how much he cared about my dogs wellbeing. I informed him that my dog was still in distress 2 days later and that i will be following up for a vet to see how i can help my dog after his trauma. The district leader dismissed my feelings when i asked how else he will be following through with fixing this situation. He laughed as said - what else did you expect?
This was a place that i brought my dog to FREQUENTLY - every toy - every treat. He said id understand if you dont want to come back here anymore.
I ordered online today because I was completely out of dog food. I asked for door dash to deliver between three and 6 o'clock and nothing was delivered. I called door dash and they said that it was Petsmart‘s fault that they close down before that time, but they never notified me and now I'm having to drive to H-E-B to buy dog food at 9pm and leave the kids. Super poor communication and great disappointment today that I spent the extra seven dollars to have them deliver it so I didn't have to leave two grandchildren or take them to the store. Very disappointed and I will never order through them again but I will go straight through door dash.

Twice in one week the grooming salon canceled my appointment due to employees calling in sick. Adding insult to injury, I was not even notified and drove 45 miles into town both times. ( I live on outskirts of town). This is the 4th time this has happened in a 4 month period. This last time, since I was very angry, they fit me in. However, it was the worst haircut my dog has ever had. Obviously, rushed and didn't care about the outcome. Her coat was all chopped up, long pieces everywhere, nails were not rounded and I doubt they brushed her teeth as an added feature I paid for. One time the entire grooming salon closed due to all the groomers calling in sick. Again, No calls to clients to inform them that their appointments had been cancelled. Needless to say, I will never take my dog there again. Very poorly run salon.
I like shopping at PETSMART. Their stores are always organized and clean. They have a wonderful selection of pet accessories and necessities. We purchased our pet bunny there 6 years ago. He is still healthy and doing great. The staff is knowledgeable about the store and has always been able to answer my questions. I was very bummed when the one in our town shut down they were my go to pet store.
Answer: Way over-priced in store and on-line. Their treats program on-line is a joke.
Answer: I have no knowledge concerning your question. At our Petsmart in Sacramento they sell animal products; it's a store; not a place where dogs go to play. Dogs are allowed inside the store to 'shop' with their person, but the dogs must be on a leash, contained, etc.
