Petco website does not work every single time I try to log in, then chat with customer service, send the password reset link, try to do that new password and can't go beyond it because the web page for this does not save my new PW and nothing happens. The customer service person says they'll escalate to tech people and will let us know. No one contacts us and nothing is resolved. It's been happening all of 2022 and I've gone through this process at least 10 times already.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! THEY HAVE A SCAM GOING CALLED VITAL CARE. STAY AWAY FROM IT! I SEARCEHED OUT A SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT I WANTED TO PURCHASE OVER AND OVER AGAIN FROM PETCO. I WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED THAT FOR THE 1ST 2 WEEKS, THESE SPECIFIC PRODUCTS THEY WERE ALWAYS OUT OF BUT I REGISTERED FOR THE PROGRAM ANYWAYS. I SEARCHED FOR THESE PPRODUCTS FOR 2 MORE WEEKS AND THEY WERE STILL OUT OF THEM. THEY MAKE CANCELING THIS PROGRAM SO DIFFICULT. I THOUGHT I HAD SUCCESSFULLY DID IT ONLINE AND THEN THE NEXT MONTH I GOT CHARGED AGAIN. I EMAILED INTO PETCO ABOUT HOW I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL THIS FOR MONTHS AND THEN THE TELL ME I HAVE TO CALL SOMEONE ELSE. WHEN YOU CALL THESE PEOPLE, IT IS A HUGE WASTE OF TIME LISTENING TO THEM STRUGGLE THROUGH THE WORST SCRIPTED ANSWERS. IT WAS SO BAD THAT THE ANSWERS WERE NOT EVEN MATCHING MY QUESTIONS. I NEVER USED THE PROGRAM, I TRIED TO CANCEL 2 WEEKS AFTER SIGNING UP AND THE BEST THEY SAY THEY CAN DO FOR ME IS MAKE SURE MY MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT AUTOMATIC RENEW IN 12 MONTHS. I AM A NEW DOG OWNER, THAT WE CAN ASSUME WILL LIVE MORE THAN 10 YEARS. I ORGIANLLY WANTED TO CONNECT PETCO THE THIS DOGS LIFE BUT WITH SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH VITAL CARE, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY OR ANY OTHER COMPANY IT PARTNERS WITH. THEY GAVE UP 10 PLUS YEARS OF ME SPENDING IN THEIR STORES FOR 12 MONTHS OF $21 FROM ME. THAT SAYS EVERTHING ABOUT THIS COMPANMY JUST GOING FOR THE QUICK BUCK.

Lying customer service

Bought it a dog playpen on August 27th they created the label on August 28th still hadn't shipped but August 30th called talked to one person or they kept saying s*** want to talk to supervisor wouldn't let me call back talk to somebody they said the same stuff the first person did finally let me talk to supervisor supervisor said they will check into it and would call me back never called me back now it's August 31st when it was I was supposed to receive my package still no call back and a package still hasn't shipped ask for a refund they will not give me one and there's still no explanation why the package hasn't shipped I would not buy from this company then nothing but a lying people worst company to deal with

This business does not take care of their leopard geckos. They have put them on sand (which can kill them if digested), have multiple in one tank (very stressful), have only one hide (that I wouldn't even call a hide, due to the fact that it is CUT IN HALF so you can see inside), and multiple tanks had dirty water bowls, as well as live and dead crickets sitting in the tank. This in all is horrible leopard gecko care, and is a horrible example for new leopard gecko owners. Please do not shop here!

Absurd Policies

I ordered from Petco & the date of delivery was pushed back. I was out of town when it arrived & a friend dropped it into my fenced yard. When I returned home I set the 1st item up & then 2 days later I went to set the 2nd up. It didn't fit where I wanted it so I boxed it up to return. I got to the store & was told they wouldn't do a return because it was more than 30 days from THE ORDER DATE... not the shipping date nor the delivery date. I told them to keep it & give it to charity. There were other people in the store & another employee came over to tell me policy was policy. I admit I made a scene & she said to hold on & she'd give me a store credit. I'll get food for the credit & probably give it to some of the homeless I see with dogs & cats. I called customer service & told them my issue, got some blah, blah, blah, the policy. I asked if I had gotten it outside the 30 day period from ordering was the policy I couldn't get a refund? THAT'S THE POLICY! Think twice before shopping on PETCO.com.

If you can help it just go to a different location because this PETCO location will lie about the availability of your order you already for, the manager does not even rectify their mistakes and will cancel your transaction without prior notice even you have already made an agreement about your paid order. This location will not do anything, i repeat not do anything to correct their mistakes and will even blame the customer for the fallout of order, The manager has no idea what he is talking about and does not know how to offer options, in other words the manager does not know how to run his store. I have been a customer of this location for only 3 years, 10 years with Sabo Rd location but 4431 is the worst, just hoping my conversation with the manager is recorded because he lied about everything we agreed with on the phone.

Exchange refusal

I purchased a leather dog collar for my Boston at my local Petco store. It didn't fit. I didn't get back right away to exchange for a larger size because I traveled out of state and then came back and came down with COVID. When I returned approximately 45 days later, Petco refused to exchange the item for the larger size. All the tags were on it and I had the receipt. When I called corporate, they were unyielding and held to their "strict 30 day policy". I was sick for weeks and did not want to infect others. Petco just lost a customer. Clearly this company does not care about their customer base.

Dog in pain.

We took our pet into petco for grooming, she came back to us worst then when we took her in. They anal deflate her without our consent now she has an infection we believe and acting and shivering and a little agitated where we can't touch her without her being aggressive. She is in pain. Of corse petco said they did nothing wrong. As well as having shave marks on her neck and torso they claim it was because of our a puppy and the other puppy has not been that aggressive towards her and her at times she had long hair. Now we need to take her to the vet to fine out what is wrong with her medically. We are not happy at all.

I WII NEVER use them again if I need to order something on-line. I thought same day delivery would be quicker then having a friend to pick up an order, since I'm sick-was I wrong. I placed the order at 6pm the prior evening thinking I'd recieve more order mid-day. I recived a text at 3pm the following day letting me know my order would arrive at 5. My first thought was, wow- it took them half a day to get my items together? THEN, the time kept changing. 5:30, 6, 6:30,7:05. I'm still waiting. When I contacted Petco they told me they use Door Dash so I contacted them, and got nowhere! Finally called my driver who told me he had over 5 orders and was driving all over Los Angeles. Umm, okay, what's the point of orderign from a local store if they're driving all over the city of LA! Granted, I am STILL waiting!

I went to Petco

I went to Petco looking for a companion for my little ferret. So, I asked a salesperson for help. From the moment, he came to help me. He pointed out on an old ferret they had for adoption. When I saw it, I felt sorry for that ferret. I asked him if it would be a good companion for my ferret. He said yes (but he doesn't play with my ferret at all). Well, the fact is, they said the ferret was healthy. After a month, I noticed it had something on his neck. I didn't know what was it, but that thing started growing up very fast. I took it to the vet. They told me my poor ferret has a tumor and he needs a surgery. Unfortunately, that surgery is too expensive. I couldn't get it done yet. I had never imagined this would happen.

Vital care

A manager convinced me to get vital care, so my dog can get nail trim, buff and brush teeth every 3 weeks, with out making appointments. But it's been a waste of money and time, it's been 5 times I took my dog for service and they can't doit, they close 4 hours early, or they said someone would call me and nothing, I drove 20 min. To petco for nothing. I'm really disappointed about petco, and nobody do nothing about it.my dog is been with out her service for 2 months oh but they still takimg the money wow. What a way of make money.

It went from getting a $5 reward for every 100 points to now every 167 points! You only earn one point per dollar so now you have to spend $167 to get the $5 reward. Ridiculous! It was a mediocre rewards system to begin with when you had to spend $100 to get $5 and now they've nearly doubled it. Their new rewards system is just insulting to the customer. If they're going to be that cheap they should just do away with Pals rewards altogether. The rewards are now next to useless since the amount you have to spend to get the points is so ridiculous. Petco is not economical enough to warrant spending so much there. Most items can be ordered online or bought at another store much cheaper. Petco never sends coupons or anything with their loyalty program, which is why I prefer PetSmart.

This was my first time ordering from Petco. My vet suggested a certain food my pup. I ordered the food which has to be shipped cold and gladly paid the $19.95 shipping fee. My order was supposed to arrive March 5. I still have not received it and have called customer service, the wait time was too long, and emailed customer service. Still no reply. I am disputing all charges.

Betta fish

Stop selling tiny betta fish tanks and keeping them in cups! This is cruel and inhumane. You say that you keep animals in their natural habitat, that's a lie. If so you'd have them in divided tanks with a heater and filter and sell 5+ gallon tanks for them. Stop abusing these beautiful animals for profit!

Repeat delivery issue and customer support issue

I had called petco customer service because my repeat delivery of dog food should have arrived since the money was taken out of my account and I got an email stating I was not going to be charged until it was back in stock. The person I spoke with told me they are out of stock of Merrick backcountry big game 20lbs bag. I was told they had the 10 pound bags in stock and they will do a 2 day rush delivery free of charge. So I paid for the 10 lb bag 5 days later I did not get the dog food and called the service number and was told the 10 lb bag is in back order. There should be no excuse for all this to go down the way it did. I'm disappointed in the failure of the service I received and disappointed in the repeat service.

I placed an order for repeat delivery with Petco for dog food. What showed up was two bags of cat litter. I called Petco and was told there was nothing they could do and I should call DoorDash. I asked why should I call DoorDash if I placed my order through Petco. I was then told they don't have anything to do with the order and can't look it up. Even though I had my original order number and the order number of the incorrect delivery. I then attempted to chat with customer service and was told that their system says dog food was delivered. Basically I was lying. I told them to look at the picture the delivery driver took. It was cat litter! So now I have to prove to someone else that I'm not lying and the only solution they have is to issue a refund or have it shipped via ups. How about this! Don't have an online service for orders if you don't stand by the process. Don't contract with DoorDash if you don't verify the orders that was sent out. If a customer calls your store with the wrong order that was delivered. The store should be responsible for contacting DoorDash and having them send the driver back out. There is no way in hell I'm going to commit to a regular delivery order when this is the service you have. How about you hire me to work for Petco. I will revamp your process, review your suck $#*! contract with DoorDash and get your company back on track. Now I will go out of my way to pick up an order I politely asked you to deliver. Thanks Petco.
