I bought a pc case from them and the price went down from 300 to 220 literally 3 days after my purchase. They wouldn't give me a credit. I call that stealing people. So it was my first and last time with pc-canada
I bought a Ingenico Desk-5000 merchant terminal but couldn't use it and then return it but PC-Canada refused to refund me because its policy doesn't allow to return once the mailing box containing its terminal was opened. How bad PC-Canada's professional ethics is!
Really really rude customer service, My order was cancelled as PC Canada was flagged as fraud by my bank. When I asked them if they can do some discount to make up, they turned totally rude and ended the chat without any notice. How can I expect any future customer service from such team? Horrible
I had a very poor experience returning a Western Digital hard drive that was improperly packaged. It is a common knowledge that a computer hard drive is delicate. When I received the hard drive, I found it on the stone walkway in a lightly padded envelope. Inside the envelope, I found the hard drive in a static-free bag without any shock protection. I emailed PC-Canada with a photo to show the improper packaging. It took five business days just to get the return approval. Since there was no fault of my own, I requested for a prompt refund credit. Then I was told that it would take two to three weeks to process a refund credit. When no refund credit came after three weeks. Then I was told that it would take three to four weeks to get a refund credit. Taking so long to process a refund credit is unreasonable and simply unacceptable. Considering unreasonable return and refund processes, I would not recommend buying from PC-Canada. At the end, I contacted the dispute department of the VISA and got a refund in two business days.
Beware of 'bait & switch' frauds with this company (and their "No Refund" policy.) I purchased the Seagate Barracuda External Solid State Drive advertised on their website, and PC-Canada sent me a Seagate Photo Hard Disk Drive, which they said was an error. Then they told me the low price offered in their advertisement was also an error. Right - two errors that just happen to benefit the seller. And then they told me they have a "No Refund" policy. It took several weeks of misery and emails to get my money back. Don't do business with this shady company.
(Not the only person they've done this to, look at other reviews and sites) - They advertise a product on sale for amazing price, you order it (says in-stock), only to follow up with a backorder email. No big deal, but when it finally "comes back in stock" they tell you that you owe more because the promotion is over... WOW! They don't honour the original sale prices at time of ordering, they lie about their stock, and they try to solicit more for the item you already made the sale on. Illegal, unethical, immoral... in my case, after I refused to pay the additional 50% increase in price they abruptly cancelled my order and that was the end of them responding...
I would give zero stars if I could. Read terrible reviews of this site online before purchasing but the price was good so I gave them a chance. As many reviews have stated, you place the purchase on the website at a given price, only to have PC-Canada.com come back and tell you the price is substantilly higher once they have taken your payment info. I ordered a gaming headset for $104, they contact me in the morning saying they had incorrect information on the payment so i phoned them to verify, then later in the day I get an email saying the promotional price is over and the headset it $194. Looks like all the bad reviews on other sites are justified. Stay away!
I have ordered a laptop that was showing only 1 left in stock.
It was sent same day, received following day.
Coming from a bad experience with Fleet Network Canada where ordered same item and never heard back from them, pc-canada.com exceeded expectation.
No big problems... I ordered a game capture recorder and it arrived within the week. The delivery person delivered it on the second try (someone was home the first try - maybe they didn't ring the bell?). Anyway, it works and and the price is one of the lowest I found anywhere.
I had a good experience. Based on other reviews I've seen, I would check their return policy and order carefully if I order again.
