They are Horrible!
August 12, 2022

I have been a customer of PA since 2009. The only reason I use them is because they are the only pawn shop I have known.
Here is why they rank amoung the most horrible and sleisist businesses ever:
They will lie to you regarding the value of your items
They will not acknowledge what you may have received from them prior
The management is disgraceful!
Case in point: I brought a $1500 Movado watch with all certifications into the shop and they tried to give me $40!
When I called them on the issue, They suggested I bring another item of value. Accordingly, I took the watch off my wrist! I had previousluy pawned at the same store for $150 and was told I could not get that amount! The manager then went so far aws to say to me why should I give you $70!
Let me state, I am not a person who is so easily disuaded!
However, I was powerless in this case,
The manager then went on to say let me just keep your ring!
Needless to say, I will be retreiving my ring from this location. Additionally, I will be looking for other similarly situated individuals, in order to bring a class action against Pawn America.
If the management is looking or reading reviews of this incident:
We are coming for you!
In order to leave a review, your are required to give at least 1 star, they should be in the negative category! Real Talk!

April 26, 2022

I was just recently in Pawn America on Madisons east side. I got excellent service from the employee who helped us. Her name was Kelly A. She was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. Very happy with my purchase of jewelery and will definitely be back soon. Please make sure she gets this review for all her efforts. I can tell she likes her job very much h. Thank you Kelly!

Quality products often with free shipping and good customer service. Have made over 150 purchases from this seller and the vast vast majority went very well. A few times they did accept a return, provided a pre-paid label and promptly refunded my money. Where they really shine is on tool bargains, sometimes like brand new for about 40% less than retail. Always read the entire ad and check the photos with the magnifier before ordering.

Thieves and Scam Artists.
December 24, 2019

I purchased what was supposed to be a 1/4 carrot diamond ring with solid gold band.(Valued at $50+)
They shipped me a CZ ring on a gold plated band.
I took it to my local jeweler, and discovered that it was nothing but a cheap piece of costume jewelry valued at $5.
They refused to refund my money, so I was forced to call my local police department and file charges

Rip-off for sellers
October 15, 2018

I will not be returning to Pawn America. These reviews are accurate; there was one person at the counter to help customers out of 5 or so available windows. Luckily, I went at 7pm on a week night, so I didn't have to wait. I brought a 2-year-old Insignia NS-40DR420NA16 40" Roku TV in excellent condition and was offered $50 for it when I could have easily gotten $150-$200 on eBay or Craigslist. I know they need to turn a profit, but $50 is bogus for an almost-new smart TV. I'm pretty sure the only 5-star review I've seen on here is from an internal employee.
