I was lied to by several employees, each telling me my product is on the dock waiting to get loaded and should ship today this was at 3 days, 7 days and 10 days after I placed my order. My product still hasn't shipped and I'm sure they will simply give me the standard lie if I call again. The only reason I have not cancelled my order is I want to see just how bad they can $#*! this up. This is a pathetic company run by pathetic people who know nothing about customer service.
Order placed on March 18. Back order notification received March 20. Several calls to customer NO service assured me the order would be shipping "shortly". Finally on May 5, I was told the item was now in stock and being shipped from a different warehouse in "a Couple of days" It is now May 14 and another call call to Marcus Lemonis V. I. P. Customer Service and I am told, it is in stock and should ship out in a day or two. WHAT? That was what I was told on May 8th. Overtons / Gander Mountain/ Camping World Customer care is WORTHLESS. I will NEVER do business with these companies again
Overtons will find any excuse to NOT refund shipping on returns. It seems these days that most online retailers offer shipping for returns with a return label in the case it is the wrong item. I chose overtonS for a product because of pricing, this turned out to be a mistake because it cost me the same amount to ship it back as the $30 item I ordered. Basically I am out the item plus $30 wasted on top of that. I will continue to use online retailers that support the customer that supports them by ordering from them. Overtons will not get another penny from me for any of my boating needs with multiple boats that I own.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY TO EVER ORDER FROM. THEM AND GANDER OUTDOORS AND CAMPING WORLD IS THE WORST EVER. I ORDERED A UNDER MOUNT LADDER FOR MY PONTOON BOAT AND THEY SENT OUT THE WRONG LADDER 3 TIMES AFTER I TOLD THEM THE FIRST ONE WAS INCORRECT AND THEY PROMISED TO SEND OUT THE CORRECT ONE AND NEVER DID 3 SEPARATE TIMES. I EVEN LOST THE SALE OF MY BOAT BECAUSE OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE...! STAY AWAY.!
If you think that deals too good to be true it is with overson purchased 3 things 3 separate times and every time they refund me as if you put the pricing like that just to get people on there site would not recommend. Just order from somewhere else save the hassle each time they held my money for 4 to 7 days just to receive NOTHING.
Ordered Xmas presents from Overton's on 12/5. One would expect that there would be enough time for delivery before 12/25. No. Overton's did not even fill the order until 12/16. Never had any order info listed. No record of order when I contacted them. Them a day later they told me that the order was shipped and due 12/24. Nope. Not shipped that day. Actually delivered on 12/26. Worst company ever.
Terrible customer service. Kids ordered NCAA fenders from Overton... 3 were correct and match what was ordered the 4th was the wrong team. Customer service blamed manufacturer, the said item is discontinued, see what we sent and hung up. Don't order from the company, they don't care.
Camping World killed a great company in Overton's. Use to get my water stuff exclusively, now it is bad stuff with bad promises and bad prices.
I ordered pontoon seats on June 22,2019, over the phone. I was told there was a delay from the vendor, and the order would ship in 2 weeks. They charged my card that same day. Two weeks later I called because I didn't get a shipping confirmation, and customer service said it would be another two weeks. Another two weeks went by, I called again, and was told my order should ship July 29th. On August 5 I called and was told it would be another 6-8 weeks. I had waited pretty much the whole summer and now they tell me it would be September before it would ship. They blamed it on their vendor. I cancelled the order. The only thing good about the experience was I was issued full credit within a week. I would think twice about ordering from Overton's.
Called multiple times to try and get information about my order. Lack of communication and no tracking for my item. They have no problem taking the money out of your account the day you place your order, but good luck trying to get your order. You better have patience and not be in any hurry. 4 fenders took a month to get for my business and customer service did nothing to try and make the situation better. This is not how a company should conduct business and If I could rate lower, I would!
What terrible customer service! I had to call twice to check status on an, come to find out an out of stock item, order to see what the hold up was. They did to fix the problem with providing me a similar item for the same price. I had the option to pay more. NO! I then call and email... to finally get a call WEEKS after the initial contact. And still no call back when I missed the call. Rude rep and terrible experience overall. Do not order!
Bought a 4 person towable tube for $136. First time out I had 3 14 year old kids on it and the handles have already started to rip. I did a live chat with the store and they told me because it was opened and used it is not returnable and they could only give me a $15 credit. The sales rep was about as unhelpful as can be. His name was Darian. Will never buy from them again.

Ordered a big fish 105 kayak that was supposed to be shipped direct from vendor within five to seven days, three days after my order I'm told it's going to be another two weeks oh, I asked if they could change the color we're length of a kayak and send that instead and was told to contact the vendor, who then told me they can't change the order
They don't send you any updates. Just don't ship. 2nd time I have called. 1st time they said next week. This time they said another 14 days. Season will be over by the time I receive this thing.
I found myself completely disgusted by the poor customer service received. Due to this I fully intend to never purchase again from Overtons or any of its parent companies and will encourage everyone I can to do the same. I can honestly say without a doubt I received the worst treatment while attempting to remedy an easily remedied situation. This included blind phone transfers, being told I would be called back and being told the supervisor who just told the CSR an action to take was unavailable for me to speak with directly but I could leave a message and they would return my call in 1 to 2 days. All of this led me to believe Overtons does not care about following their price adjustment policy in any manner which benefits the customer. I have ordered a couple times before and thought I would have a much longer standing relationship with this company. I would strongly encourage the upper management to worry more about the customer service provided and less about the size of the flag flying overhead. The seats I ordered do seem to be very nice seats it is just a shame I'm wanting to return them solely out of principal. I hate to keep harping but I dont think I've never given a company/person a bad review as generally I am a quite understanding person and accept thing might happen to delay or damage items or anything else which might have occured. But this transaction has literally infuriated me enough to write this review. This all stemmed from Overtons refusing to price adjust the item price which dropped less than a week after I ordered it on their own site and still let me use the same coupon I originally. Used for purchase. I instead get told I can't use coupons on prior purchases even though I am not trying to use a new or higher amount coupon. A new customer could order from the site and take advantage of the discount coupon and the new lower price but since yhey already have my money they dont care to make it right.
It is truly too bad you cannot give them no stars, that is what they deserve. Absolute debacle trying to buy three new seats for my boat. Have since cancelled the order since they are on a manufacturer back order. Now fighting to get my money back, next call is to American Express.
Their customer service department is not good, and communication between departments is horrible. Web page to update you on anything is non-existent.

Paid for expedited shipping and still ended up shipping later than they stated standard shipping would take. Now it is delivering while i am out of the country for 10 days
I purchased Dockmate Mooring arms - i received all items and installed the mooring devices - per instructions - the arms were cut and it was too short to keep boat away from the dock! I love the product and it works - just cut too short! Called Overtons and asked to just send me 2 new arms - all other hardware was fine. After a week i got a response that because Overtons does not advertise this item to be used with a Pontoon Boat and because I cut the arm(per instructions) - nothing they can do- no arms or return! Website specifics NO specific type of boats(other than length and wieght of boat)plus the Q&A on their website under this product - 3 people asked if could used with a Pontoon Boat - Overtons response was yes. After working through several supervisors in customer service (1 week) finally called the company that makes the product and they are shipping out what i need! This place is a disaster and customer service is a joke - plenty of other places to get marine items
Answer: Legit but awful! Buyer beware of this company. They are no good drop shippers. Order elsewhere.
Answer: They claimed items were available and ready to ship. That was a lie, but they billed me instantly.
Answer: Live chat seemed almost immediately available, but representatives have no power to resolve issues nor do they have any information regarding items they list. Researching the item I was after showed it had been discontinued by the manufacturer and would no longer be available, but online reps kept insisting that the item could be back ordered f I waited long enough. Maybe I'd believe them if it wasn't for the literally hundreds of reviews calling out the exact same scam. Chat Reps had snippy, dismissive attitude as noted in many, many reviews. The reps know they are working for a scam organization and they're cool with it.
